ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
BHARATHIDASAN INSTITUTE OF
TECHNOLOGY
ANNA UNIVERSITY, TIRUCHIRAPALLI
Bharathidasan Institute of Technology (BIT) has
been established as a Technical Institute under Anna
University, Chennai by the Government of Tamil Nadu
and recently sponsored with Technical Education Quality
Improvement Programme (TEQIP) grant. IT offers a
variety of UG, PG and research programmes with an
approximate of 5000 students in the campus. The
Institution works towards developing partnerships with
industries and academic institutes to provide quality
education and opportunities for entrepreneurial
development. The main objective of the institute is to
generate a horde of highly creative professionals, who
can contribute not only to the Human Resource
Development and also to Nation building exercise. BIT
has carved a niche for itself in providing technical
education in the disciplines that are rare of their kind in
our country with a high level of competence since 1999.
DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND
ENGINEERING
Department of Computer Science and
Engineering offers B.E (Computer Science & Engg),
B.Tech (Information Technology), M.E (Computer
Science & Engg), M.E (Software Engg), and M.E
(Pervasive Computing) courses. The Department has
dedicated and qualified faculties besides good
infrastructure for computing. Research at this Department
is nurtured through various sponsored programmes funded
by national organizations such as AICTE, UGC and
Ministry of Communications
and Information
Technology.
There are many different Networking
technologies and Security methods—some are available
today, few just now emerging, well-proven and little
quite experimental. This FDP aims at equipping the
faculties with knowledge on Networking Technologies,
Network Security, Information Security, Mobile Security
etc., with respect to the current scenario’s. It is a platform
for faculty experts to exchange their views on current
trends and practices in the world of Networking
Technologies and Security. Experts from the research
institutes and centre of excellence in Networking and
Security would provide the participants a crystal clear
and broad knowledge through live demos, hands on
session and case studies.
