Roatan is one of the three largest Bay Islands about 40 miles north of the
coast of Honduras and they are totally different than main land Honduras. At
the Turquoise Bay Resort, you can cool off in the pool or sunbathe on the
longest private white sand beach on Roatan. Due to the Roatan Marine Park,
this reefsystem is one of the healthiest in the Caribbean. Roatan is
surrounded by the second-largest barrier reef in the world and this particular
area offers the greatest variety of reef topography on the island.
