04. 95. 25. 91. 19 Monte Renosu Lakes Authentic and wild, this beautiful hiking itinerary will take you to forest and transhumance paths, as well as torrent beds. Off the beaten track, you will discover an exceptional variety of magnificent landscapes, forests, lakes and crystalline pond rivers. You will go through the amazing glacial valley of the Pozzi, with its thousand water holes surrounded by grass. SUNDAY MONDAY Discovery of a wild glen, waterfalls and crystalline ponds, swimming. Night and dinner in Bocognano. Preparation of the bags for the trek. TUESDAY Reception at 7pm at the Ajaccio airport or directly at our base in Bocognano in the beginning of the afternoon. To book the transfer, please contact us a few days before the trip. For these who come from Ajaccio by car, head to BocognanoCentre. At the exit of the village, go left, and then left again toward Richiusa. End of the trip on Sunday, free day in Ajaccio. Meeting at 1:30 pm at the Ajaccio airport, then transfer to Bocognano. Reception, night and dinner in tents. Distribution of the equipment. You will discover the different scales of the Corsican flora with the ascension to the Verdanese sheep fold, passing through Muru Cintu and Porcilelli sheep folds. Night in bivouac. Difference in altitude: + 1100 m. WEDNESDAY Beginning for and end of the strips ITINERARY We will go downhill to Bastelica, passing through the Ortola waterfalls and the old transhumance paths, and then ascension to the Mezzaniva sheep fold. Night in bivouac. Difference in altitude: - 650 m / + 500 m. Level / Ground From 4 to 6 h of walk per day, sometimes on unfrequented paths. 1100 m maximum of difference in altitude. THURSDAY FRIDAY Accommodations Campsites & bivouacs. We provide the sleepingbag for the hike directly on the different places where we will bivouac. Please bring a sleepingsheet. However, it is better to bring a sleeping-bag for the beginning and the end of the trip. Ascent of the Monte Renosu, off-path 2352m. Beautiful view on the Corsican summits, descent through the Bastani lake to the Capanelle refuge. Night in tents at the Capanelle sheep fold. Dinner at the refuge. Difference in altitude: - 750 m / + 650 m. SATURDAY Porterage About 8 kg, you will have to carry your personal things for 4 days, including picnics for lunches and 2days of fresh food. We will carry on following the transhumance paths to reach the Pozzi glacial valleys and its awesome peat bog. This awesome water holes scattered pasture will make us pass through the Vitalaca lake. Night in bivouac. Difference in altitude: - 200 m / + 650 m. Return around Vizzavona: here, we will pass either through Pinzi Corbini and its marvellous mineral landscapes, or through the GR, going along sheep folds and rivers. Transfer to Bocognano by the train. Night in tents in Bocognano. Difference in altitude: + 400 m / - 1000 m. SUNDAY Meals They are all included and prepared together. Return to Ajaccio in the morning, free morning. Depending on the circumstances (weather conditions, technical level of the participants, accommodations overloaded), the schedule can be changed by the staff in order to make the trip more enjoyable. Clothing and personal things to bring You can leave some things at the point of departure and pick them up on the last day. Please bring a bag to gather them. First-kid aid A first-aid kit is provided to each guide.You have to use it in case of important problems, but it cannot be used as a first-kit aid for the group for the common problems you would encounter in your daily life. Please be sure to bring a personal pharmacy. We can lend you the technical supplies -Hiking shoes -Backpack -Sleeping bag However, it is better for you to bring your own shoes and your hiking equipment, like your sleeping bag, backpack (about 70L), walking stick and hydration pack. Different ways to go to corsica What you can put in it -Personal medicines if you have specific troubles (allergies…) -Plaster against blisters -Something to prevent or to release knees and ankles problem (Elastoplast) -Something to disinfect small wounds. Solar protection for lips and skin -Something to release bowel problems due to a change of diet. -Painkillers to ease headache, aches and bugs bites.
