CMU IDEA MARKET PLACE
Sun. Oct 12th, by 11:59pm (to sign-up) Access application here
Are you interested in joining CMU’s new Idea Marketplace Committee? The Committee is a new
ProSEED grant supported graduate student Committee that acts as a think-tank to develop and host
strategic initiatives that bring CMU graduate students closer together. The Committee
will brainstorm how students, faculty and administration can collectively foster student interaction
from every corner of campus, focusing on academics and student activities. Collaborative-innovation is one of the core objectives of the CMU Idea Marketplace initiative and we
need your help! We are looking for 2 graduate students from each of the seven schools and colleges
to represent their schools/colleges on the Committee. Master’s and Ph.D. students with a
graduation date of December 2015 or later are invited to apply.
CMU Idea Marketplace Committee members will meet bi-weekly to generate ideas and strategic
initiatives for inter-university collaboration and will communicate and jointly plan them with CMU
administration and the GSA. The CMU Idea Marketplace will also host a series of events during
Graduate Student Appreciation Week in collaboration with the Office of the Assistant Vice Provost
for Graduate Education.
This committee will be a CMU Interdisciplinary street team, gaining student insights and bringing
them to the table for change. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is interested in learning
about CMU, has a passion for collaboration and innovation, and wants to have an impact on how
students interact with their CMU surroundings. If you are interested in joining the CMU Idea
Marketplace Committee, please complete the application survey via the link below. Only applications
received prior to October, 12th at 11:59 PM will be considered.
