MAN DOWN
The sitcom introduces Dan (GREG DAVIES), a childish idiot trapped in an adult’s life.
Crushing character flaws, an unwanted teaching job, uniquely dysfunctional friends and a
wilfully insane Dad (RIK MAYALL) conspire to keep this Man Down.
Dan’s world is near collapse, his girlfriend Naomi is fast running out of patience
with his inability to navigate the simplest of life tasks, while his best friends are
Jo (ROISIN CONATY) who has, what can only be described as the loosest of grasps on
reality and Brian (MIKE WOZNIAK), a straight-laced financial adviser who is regularly
dumbfounded by the complete idiocy of his two friends. To compound matters Dan’s listless
teaching career sees him begrudgingly teach a version of the same lesson every day,
inexplicably popular with all but one of his pupils, with his only highlight coming in the form
of a deputy head mistress who views Dan with a mixture of pity and despair.

Transatlantic scripted comedy series, written by and starring ROB DELANEY (US comedian

Based on the award-winning comedy of JOSH THOMAS, and inspired in part by actual
painfully awkward events, Please Like Me is a uniquely honest comedy drama series about
growing up quickly.

The series also introduces the extraordinary animals of Britain that are changing and saving
lives - meet the Animal Saints, such as the retired racehorse who gave a troubled young girl
her life back, the cat that made a selectively mute young boy come out of his shell and the
dog that came to the aid of a couple struggling to live with dementia.
After a strong performance in its first run where it consistently beat the average for the slot,
Animal Saints and Sinners was quickly re commissioned for a second series.
