Completed in an ongoing association with
the SBE Entertainment Group and the Starck
Network, Katsuya Glendale, a 9,800
square foot, two level sushi restaurant and
bar, is part of the Americana at Brand development; and continues the restaurant brand
for planned openings in Los Angeles, Orange County, and Las Vegas .
DesignARC is an innovative design firm comprised of progressive, like-minded thinkers who share a genuine desire to research, learn, and apply newfound knowledge to the project at hand. Specializing in custom residential,
commercial, hospitality and institutional design, with thriving studios in both Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, the
company culture stresses collaboration among colleagues, in the search for creative architectural solutions for its
clients.
DesignARC has designed and seen through construction a decidedly diverse portfolio of architectural projects during the past thirty-five years, and has received over thirty design awards for Excellence in Architecture. The honored work includes many restaurant and hospitality projects in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Santa
Barbara, as well as numerous multi-family residential projects in Palm Springs, California.

COMPANY PROFILE
The highly successful Santa Barbara restaurant, The Blue Agave, transforms what was
originally an antique store, into a 3,000
square foot bistro and nightclub. The compact, two-story space, features a bar and
dining room on the ground floor, with a fireplace lounge and cigar balcony upstairs.

BLUE AGAVE
Located in the Santa Barbara waterfront district, The Villa Rosa Inn comprises a complete
renovation of a historically significant building. DesignARC guided the restoration and
conversion of the 8,500 square foot apartment building into Santa Barbara’s first award
winning 3-star Bed and Breakfast inn.
DesignARC worked with Gary Handel Associates of New York to oversee the design and
implementation of the entire Santa Barbara
Bowl renovation effort, including the Wendy
McCaw Terrace, in which a 1936 WPA-era
design has been preserved and enhanced to
utilize 21st century technology.

A key piece in the recent resurgence of the
downtown theater district, Katsuya Hollywood, a new 7,500 square foot restaurant
inside the historic Broadway Building, is one
of the first completed projects in an ongoing relationship with the SBE Entertainment
Group and the Starck Network.

Established in 1926, Sevilla is Santa Barbara’s oldest operating restaurant. As design
architects for the complete, 2,800 square
foot renovation of the historically significant
downtown building, DesignARC created the
entirely re-envisioned interior, including custom designed fixtures and furniture.

WINDOWS STEAK + MARTINIS
On the edge of the Santa Monica coast, The
Bayside Hotel represents an extensive renovation of an existing mid-century, beachfront
building. DesignARC has designed the complete transformation, which turns the 13,000
square foot, two-story hotel into an exclusive
boutique resort along Ocean Avenue.
A full service private yacht club, The Pacific
Corithian is an 8,800 square foot facility that supports a 200-slip pleasure boat
marina in the Channel Islands Harbor of
California. The design incorporates a pool,
member support spaces, as well as a fine
dining restaurant.
Adjacent to the Staples Center, Windows
Steak and Martinis is a penthouse level, 8,000
square feet interior renovation that includes a
120-seat restaurant and lounge, as well as a
160-seat banquet facility. DesignARC’s “retromodern” design approach honors the 1960’s
vintage of the downtown building.

Part of the revitalized theater district, the
