MarBorg Industries is a Santa Barbara
County Certified Green Business
In October, MarBorg Industries was certified as
a Green Business through the Green Business
Program of Santa Barbara County. Earning this
certification showcases the commitment MarBorg
has made to go above and beyond regulatory
environmental requirements. For decades MarBorg
has provided outstanding recycling services
to Santa Barbara County and is dedicated to
furthering their sustainable commitment by
developing policies and programs to reduce their
corporate operational environmental footprint.
Throughout the certification process, MarBorg has
developed and implemented an Environmental
Purchasing plan, an Integrated Pest Management
Plan, and a Green Cleaning policy. These plans
and policies assist with reducing operational costs
and reducing the negative environment impacts
associated with business operations and services.
In addition to the Green Business Program
certification, MarBorg Industries is pursuing
certification through the LEED for Existing Buildings:
Operations & Maintenance (LEED EB:O&M) rating
system. LEED EB: O&M is a green building rating
system developed by the U.S. Green Building
Council and is a third party verification process that
evaluates the operations and maintenance practices
of existing buildings. Certification as a LEED
building will distinguish MarBorg Industries as a
leader in sustainability and will provide measurable
strategies and calculations that meet and exceed
recognized sustainability benchmarks.

ANNUAL
All residential* customers in the City of Santa Barbara are eligible for 1 FREE clean up every
calendar year. You may call in once per year when it is convenient for you to have your items
removed. MarBorg performs all Annual Clean Ups on WEDNESDAYS.
• All items must be brought to the curbside by 6 am.
• All items must be generated from the address we
are collecting from.
• Loose items must be bagged, boxed or bundled.
• We must be notified of any items that exceed
5 feet in length or 60 lbs so we can send the
correct vehicle. (There are no weight or size
limits on items).

• Green waste must be bundled. No waste from
professional tree trimming.
• Construction and remodel material is generally not
accepted. (We will pick up doors, windows, lumber
and toilets).
• No Hazardous waste (Tires accepted).
• CITY ONLY: Free electronic and refrigerator pick up.
* Annual clean up is not available for apartments or condos
because they do not pay for individual service.

MarBorg Industries’ New Santa Barbara Based
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Vehicle Fueling Facility
MarBorg Industries opened a new
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling
station for its collection vehicle fleet. We
are excited to now be fueling our collection
vehicles with clean compressed natural gas
(CNG), at a new state-of-the-art facility in
downtown Santa Barbara.
Collection vehicles are parked at the end of
the day and connected to individual fueling
stations, where they are fueled overnight and
ready for a full day of service the following day.
