Location: Florham Park, NJ

Services:Multiple engineering and environmental services
The New York Jets state-of-the-art professional football training facility extends over
27-acres of former Exxon Mobil Research Facility grounds. This modern training facility
is centered around a field house with an indoor playing field and another building with
weight training facilities, classrooms and administrative offices. Langan provided full site
services for the layout, grading and drainage of associated parking areas, interior
roadways and walks, and four adjacent outdoor football fields, including one artificial turf
field.

Langan's integrated services helped overcome numerous techncial challenges that
ultimately transformed a former manufactured gas plant site into an iconic structure on
the Hudson River.

Construction Magazine Residential Award of Merit
Langan is the civil engineer for the 600 unit residential mixed-use development in the
Clinton redevelopment zone. The two 24-story towers spanning over the depressed
tracks of the Amtrak Empire Line and abutting three New York City DOT bridges have
created numerous engineering challenges. As the site/civil engineer for the project,
Langan was responsible for the design and permitting of the site grading and drainage.
The Clinton Green Towers were LEED Certified for New Construction.

CUNY CCNY ADVANCED SCIENCE RESEARCH CENTER
Client: City University of New York and Dormitory Authority of the State of New York

Awards: Anticipating LEED Silver certification
Services:Site/Civil; Surveying; Planning
The $300-million Advanced Science Research Center at CUNY City College of New
York will be a state-of-the-art, LEED Silver certified, multi-disciplinary research facility in
upper Manhattan encompassing 400,000 SF of laboratories, support spaces and
offices. Incorporating nanoscience, photonic, and bio-sensing technologies, the facility
will support scientific research endeavors across the CUNY system.

HUDSON YARDS REDEVELOPMENT
Client: Multiple Teams
Completion: January 2015
This major New York City redevelopment, under the joint guidance of the City, the
Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and State of New York initiatives, is in the
process of reinventing the Hudson Yards area in midtown Manhattan. Langan has been
retained by multiple teams to provide geotechnical, site/civil, environmental, and traffic
engineering, seismic design analysis, and surveying services during the pre-design
phase of development.

THE SHOPS AT ATLAS PARK
Location: Queens, NY
Client: A & Co.; The Hemmerdinger Corporation; Desman Associates
Awards: National Phoenix Award for Excellence in Brownfield Development, Region 2
(USEPA) ACEC Gold Award (2007) for Engineering Excellence
A former brownfield site, this lifestyle center consists of a two-acre "green" area
surrounded by shops, restaurants, and a cinema. Langan provided environmental,
surveying, geotechnical, and site/civil engineering services for this redevelopment.

QUEENS PLAZA STREETSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS
Location: Long Island City, NY
Client: New York City Economic Development Corporation
Architect: Wallace Roberts & Todd
For this plaza, which serves as the gateway connecting the Queensboro Bridge to Long
Island City, Langan developed this urban landscape as a model solution for urban core
neighborhoods. Langan also provided pedestrian and vehicular safety analyses. A
series of SYNCHRO models were prepared to compare the operation parameters of
several designs encompassing 15 complex intersections.

FBI/GSA CLAREMONT TOWER
Location: Newark, NJ

Architect: Ehrenkrantz Eckstut & Kuhn Architects
Langan performed site planning, site/civil, geotechnical, environmental, survey, traffic,
and landscape architecture services for this 12-story, 500,000-square-foot mixed-use
office and retail tower that includes a five-story parking facility. Difficult site constraints
required innovative site planning, foundation recommendations, and environmental
solutions due to the future widening of Route 21, existing topography, subsurface soil,
and environmental conditions.

ROCKEFELLER UNIVERSITY CENTER FOR
COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH
Client: The Rockefeller Univeristy

Services:Site/Civil; Geotechnical; Surveying
Rockefeller University is one of the foremost research centers in the world, contributing
to 23 Nobel Prizes as well as numerous other awards. Langan was retained as the
geotechnical and site/civil engineer for this new 250,000 sf facility. The new Center for
Collaborative Research that will offer new medical research laboratories and support
space for existing laboratory groups and new recruits.

US EMBASSY IN PANAMA
Location: Panama City, Panama

Langan was a key component of the design-build team for the new U.S. Embassy in
Panama. This fast-track, LEED Certified project posed numerous challenges for all
design and engineering disciplines due to site conditions, security requirements, and
time constraints.

Langan provided multi-disciplined engineering and environmental services for two large
Target distribution centers. Langan worked closely with the design-build contractor to
develop a site selection feasibility study to identify a preferred location for a
development that included approximately 1.5 million SF of warehouse and office space
in Wilton, NY. The proposed 1.3-million-SF distribution center in Chambersburg, PA
included a detailed geotechnical investigation for one million+ cubic yards of earthwork
and 700,000+ cubic cards of rock cut.

Langan provided a full suite of professional engineering services including geotechnical
and civil engineering design and consultation services. Langan experts assisted the
project team in developing an environmentally sensitive and sustainable project. Site
challenges involved avoiding deep and old sewers of lower Manhattan, and the potential
for disturbance of interred remains.
