An associate’s degree in Liberal Arts provides a solid foundation to prepare you for many majors in a four-year college and a wide variety of career choices. A Liberal Arts degree is particularly suitable if you are interested in the humanities, social or behavioral sciences, or if you are undecided as to your future career. HUMANITIES: communication/media arts, English, philosophy, foreign language, speech, history, education, visual and performing arts SOCIAL AND BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES: anthropology, sociology, psychology If you are a creative person with talents in various areas, a Liberal Arts degree will allow you to explore new directions in order to discover interests that may lead to a career you had not previously considered. At RCC you will enroll in general education courses, such as English, history and psychology. You will also have the opportunity to explore new avenues, such as philosophy, Chinese or anthropology. RCC will help you in the transfer process. Transfer agreements between RCC and many four-year colleges enable you to enter as a junior. Transfer counselors are available to help you select the best fouryear college for you and to ensure that you have the appropriate courses and qualifications. You can learn about transfer opportunities at four-year colleges on Transfer Days and College Night, when hundreds of representatives of other colleges and universities visit RCC to share information about their schools.
