IB Assessments
Internals vs. Externals
•
•
Students have both external and
internal assessments for each course.
Internal Assessments (IA) are given to
students by the instructor throughout the
courses and are graded by the instructor
and moderated by the IBO through
random samples sent to IB officials.
External Assessments are
given to students on campus
in May of the second year of
the programme and are
graded solely by IB officials.
