COME JOIN US The Fellowship Sunday School Class would like to invite you to meet with us each Sunday morning at 9:45 am in room 218. In an informal classroom setting, we will study God’s Word, line by line, in the book of Genesis. No preparation is needed or required. You may join at any time in this ongoing Bible study. All you need to bring is yourself and a Bible. If you don’t have one, we have extras in our classroom. We look forward to seeing you there! FUMY ROAD TRIP FUMY Road trip this year will be June 25-30. We are headed to Detroit, MI and will be working with Cass Community Social Service (CCSS). This institution was started by Cass Street United Methodist Church in the 1920’s to respond to the great depression, and continues to effectively minister to people who have various needs in inner city Detroit. Throughout the week we will be working in various capacities to fulfill their mission: "CCSS is dedicated to making a profound difference in the diverse populations it serves by providing for basic needs, including affordable housing, promoting self reliance and encouraging community inclusion and improvement.” This trip will not be all work though. We will take a brief trip into Canada to explore some of the mysteries of a town called Windsor, and as well, we will have the opportunity to take a scenic tour of some of the Historic locations in Detroit. This is going to be a wonderful and life-changing trip to be sure. If you have more questions, check out the Road trip tab at www.fumyapp.com, or contact the FUMY staff. SENIOR ADULT FUN AND GAME DAY Our next day for fun and games will be held Thursday, June 9th, at 10:00 am in Fellowship Hall. We have invited the Senior Adults from St. Mark’s United Methodist to join us. This will be a potluck lunch like we had last time. The food was so good at our May meeting the decision was unanimous to do this during all our summer months. St. Mark’s folks will bring their special dishes also. We will play Bingo after lunch so if you have any more “white elephant” gifts at your house, please wrap them and bring them. Hope to see you there, bring a friend with you!! WE NEED YOU TO BE A MENTOR Mentors for FUMC college students – Please pray for this new ministry and consider being involved. We currently have 30 students as new High School graduates. They are headed off to college or starting a career and we want to give them a mentor. Here are some things you can do as their mentor: Confirm new address and make sure they are getting the church newsletter; research churches and other important locations for them in their new town; send birthday card; mail handwritten letter or care packages; email/text words of encouragement; arrange contact with a professional related to student’s major of study….. The ideas are endless, and all are designed to keep the student connected with their home church, to let them know we still care about them, and continue our promise to nurture them and surround them with the love of Christ. Please see the Attitudes of Faith Sunday School class member, seated in the narthex for more information. BOY SCOUTS SPAGHETTI SUPPER Today FUMC’s own Boy Scout Troop 106 will have available advance tickets to their Spaghetti Supper.
