Marianapolis Preparatory School seeks a dynamic individual to lead the Dean’s Office and Residential Life
program. The Dean works closely with the Assistant Dean, Class Deans, House Heads, and other colleagues, to
plan and implement an engaging, inclusive, and mission-based, student life experience. The Dean of Students
reports to the Assistant Head of School.
Responsibilities include the following:
• Disciplinary matters
• Attendance
• Marianapolis Student Handbook
• Residential Program including supporting boarding students, residential programming, and residential
faculty
• Manage communication to, and orientation for, students and families new to Marianapolis
• Design, coordinate, and implement Student life activities throughout the school year
• Work closely with the Dean of Faculty/Director of Academics and Class Deans in the implementation of
the Advisory program
• Student Activities including weekend and residential activities
• Student Leadership Programs
• Student Clubs and Organizations
• Teach one course
• Coach one season
• Serve as an Administrator On Duty
• Serve on the Internal Administrative Team
Desired skills and qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess prior experience with Student Life and/or Dean’s Office as well as past
experience in an independent school residential life program. A Bachelor’s degree is required and a Master’s
Degree is preferred. Experience with File Maker is preferred but not required.
