ry and a m i r ys P The Le ” chool “Be in to win S y r e Nurs 4 May 2012 The Leys Primary and Nursery School Hall of Fame Dear Parents and Carers It was fun watching our little Olympic athletes at our very own Olympic Games this week! As you can see they were all enjoying themselves. Don’t worry parents and carers you will all be able to come and watch them later in the term. It is also great to see how many children were awarded Headteacher Awards this week. This in an indication that pupils are working hard in class! Well done to you all. Another reminder to be ON TIME IN SCHOOL! There are too many children coming in late. This will really help your child’s learning! I have spoken to the children this week about making The Leys an Anti-Bullying Zone. As part of this process we are talking to the children about what ‘bullying’ means, the children are thinking of playground rules , and we are rewriting the school policy. I take a very strong view on bullying and there will no tolerance for this kind of behaviour. I will be holding a Parent Forum to discuss this topic on Wednesday 16 May at 2 p.m. Keep this date free. Please come along and share your views. If we work together as a school community on this then we will succeed in living up to our school motto ‘Friendship and Learning’.
