To All Parents
Dear Parents,
I am writing to confirm that as advertised on the Calendar, school will close early on Thursday 2nd April 2015.
School will close at 12.10 p.m. and Stotfold school transport has been ordered for this time. Students entitled to a school
meal should collect it at break.
School will reopen on Monday 20th April 2015 for the whole school.
We would like to thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
This term’s final edition of Fearnfile will be published on Friday 27th March and I hope you enjoy reading it.
Some of the highlights we have witnessed this term include:

Year 9 experienced an unforgettable trip to the First World War Battlefields.

Year 12/13 Art students put on a fabulous exhibition of Art at the Letchworth Art Centre.

Three of our Sixth Formers choreographed and organised our entry of dancers in the County Dance Festival.

Melissa Drake, Year 11, represented Fearnhill in the Hertfordshire Youth Orchestra which won the prestigious
Bedfordshire Music School Prize.

Bartosz Mokrski won through to the East of England round of the UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge. He and
Rebecca Wray achieved a top 7% finish.

Sir Oliver Heald, our local MP, joined us to speak to Year 8 students about life in Parliament.

Year 10 had one of our best ever weeks of work experience. The feedback from employers was fantastic on the
quality of our students.

Year 7 enjoyed an exciting trip to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, as a reward for their good behaviour.
I would like to thank you for all the support you have given to the school over the last term and we look forward to an
exciting summer term.
