The Aircraft Systems Engineer as member of the Maintenance Program team
assures the timeliness and the accuracy of the assigned aircraft type
Maintenance Program. He or she defines the scope of tasks to be performed
in order to maintain the airworthiness, the safety and the reliability of our
aircraft in line with the manufacturer and the regulatory requirements. In
addition, the Aircraft Systems Engineer continuously improves the repetitive
maintenance schedule with cost saving initiatives to help determine our
service in a complex and demanding environment. He or she reports directly
to the Head of Maintenance Program and Reliability Engineering.
Your Duties

Ensure compliance of Maintenance Program with continuing airworthiness
requirements issued by TC Holders and Airworthiness Authorities
Assess and/or define maintenance requirements and instructions for
Continued Airworthiness (ICA) applicable to the SWISS fleet, monitors their
implementation and triggers adequate corrective actions in case of deviation
Review at least annually the Maintenance Program for effectiveness and
detail changes
Implement Maintenance Program Task escalations and de-escalations
Assess and evaluate maintenance planning document changes for potential
impact on the SWISS fleet in order to improve reliability and optimize unit
maintenance cost
Support the Maintenance Department on matters related to deviations from
approved data (variation of Maintenance Program tasks)
Support the Technical Procurement Department in contract
negotiations/fulfilment and warranty claim management
Support technical investigations and reporting in the frame of the Safety
Management System (SMS)
Provide recommendations for improvement and development of technical
(maintenance, modification, repair) and process standards
Plan, monitor and report budgetary figures in his/her area of competence
and responsibility

Apprenticeship and HF degree, Bachelor or Master degree in
Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
Minimum of three years in similar function on Expert level or in an equivalent
position
Basic knowledge of EASA regulations?
Basic knowledge of aircraft systems?
Project Management (PragmaPlus)
Good English knowledge, written and spoken?
Proficiency in use of MS Office applications
Fluency in German is an advantage?
Function-specific AMOS user and process knowledge
