1) Remove completely the inner liner from the helmet
(Please consult Nolan Owner’s manual for proper liner
removal procedures)

2) Remove and discard the ear pads from the J&M
headset speakers as they will not be used in this
application (Figure A.)

3) Using a speaker as a template, mark the area
inside the helmet for material removal. (Figure B.)
The area of material to be removed is directly in line
with the chin strap and extends approximately 20mm
(3/4”) from the lower edge of the inner shell inside
the helmet. After marking, carefully cut material from
inside the helmet and discard. (Repeat for other side)

4) Peel the backing from the supplied Velcro®pads
and apply them directly onto the chin strap in the
speaker area of the helmet shell on both the left and
right sides. (Figure C.)
5) Carefully remove the small cover from the left side
of the helmet by lifting the outside tab and pushing it
out from the inside. (Figure D.)
6) Place the provided template in the recessed cavity
on left side of the helmet and mark area to be
removed. (Figure E.) Use a rotary tool to carefully
remove material so the microphone will pass through
cutout area. (Caution: Be sure to keep the left chin
strap/buckle assembly away from the cutting tool so
as not to damage the chin strap/buckle assembly during this operation. Also, remove material ONLY from
the base of the recessed cavity, not the sides.)

1) Zunächst die Innenbeschichtung vollständig von
dem Helm abziehen. (Anweisungen zum ordnungsgemäßen Entfernen der Beschichtung entnehmen Sie
dem Nolan-Benutzerhandbuch.)
2) Die Ohrenpolster von den Lautsprechern des J&M
Helmkopfhörers entfernen und wegwerfen, da sie bei
dieser Anwendung nicht gebraucht werden (Abb. A).
3) Indem Sie einen der Lautsprecher als Vorlage
benutzen, markieren Sie den Bereich innerhalb des
Helms zur Entfernung des Materials (Abb. B). Der
Bereich des zu entfernenden Materials liegt direct auf
einer Linie mit dem Kinnband und ragt bis zu ungefähr
20 mm von der Unterkante der inneren Helmschale
nach innen. Nach der Markierung schneiden Sie das
Material vorsichtig aus der Innenseite des Helms heraus und werfen Sie es weg. Wiederholen Sie das
Ganze auf der anderen Seite.
4) Ziehen Sie die Rückbeschichtung von den mitgelieferten Velcro®-Klettverschlüssen ab und drücken
Sie diese direkt auf dem Kinnband im
Lautsprecherbereich der Helmschale beidseitig fest
(Abb. C).
5) Die kleine Abdeckung vorsichtig von der linken
Seite des Helms entfernen, indem Sie die auf der
Außenseite befindliche Zunge anheben und sie von
innen herausschieben. (Abb. D).
6) Die mitgelieferte Vorlage in die ausgesparte
Erhöhlung auf der linken Seite des Helms legen und
den zu entfernenden Bereich markieren (Abb. E).
Benützen Sie ein rotierendes Instrument, um das
Material vorsichtig zu entfernen, damit das Mikrofon
durch den ausgeschnittenen Bereich geführt werden
kann. (Vorsicht: Achten Sie darauf, das linke Kinnband
mit Schnalle von dem Schneidegerät entfernt zu halten, damit Kinnband und Schnalle bei diesem Vorgang
nicht beschädigt werden. Außerdem darf das Material
NUR vom Boden der ausgesparten Erhöhlung entfernt
werden, nicht von den Seiten.) (Abb. F).

4) Remueva el respaldo de las almohadillas Velcro®
proporcionadas y luego colóquelas directamente sobre
el barboquejo en el área de altavoces de la caparazón
del casco, tanto en el lado derecho como el izquierdo
(Figura C).

5) Remueva cuidadosamente la cubierta pequeña del
lado izquierdo del casco, levantando la lengüeta exterior y empujándola hacia fuera desde la parte interior
(Figura D).
6) Coloque la plantilla suministrada en la cavidad
empotrada en el lado izquierdo del casco y marque el
área que será removida (Figura E). Utilice una herramienta rotatoria para remover cuidadosamente el
material, de manera que el micrófono pase por el área
recortada. (Precaución: Asegúrese de mantener lejos
de la herramienta de corte el conjunto izquierdo de
hebilla/barboquejo, a fin de no dañar el
barboquejo/hebilla durante esta operación. Además,
remueva material UNICAMENTE de la base de la cavidad empotrada, no de los lados.) (Figura F).

1) Retirez complètement le revêtement intérieur du
casque. (Veuillez consulter le manuel d'utilisation
Nolan pour prendre connaissance des procédures
adéquates de retrait du revêtement.)
2) Retirez et jetez les oreillettes des haut-parleurs car
elles ne seront pas utilisées dans cette application
(Figure A).

3) En vous servant d'un haut-parleur comme modèle,
marquez la zone interne du casque pour le retrait du
matériau (Figure B). La partie du matériau à retirer
est alignée avec la jugulaire et se prolonge sur environ
20 mm (3/4 po) à partir du bord inférieur de la paroi
interne, à l'intérieur du casque. Après l'avoir marqué,
coupez soigneusement le matériau de l'intérieur du
casque et jetez cette partie. (Répétez cette opération
pour l'autre côté.)
4) Pelez l'arrière des bandes Velcro®qui ont été
fournies et appliquez ces bandes directement sur la
jugulaire, dans la zone des haut-parleurs de la paroi
du casque, sur les deux côtés, droit et gauche (Figure
C).
5) Retirez soigneusement le petit couvercle du côté
gauche du casque en soulevant la languette
extérieure et en la poussant de l'intérieur (Figure D).
6) Placez le modèle fourni dans la cavité encastrée du
côté gauche du casque et marquez la zone à retirer
(Figure E). Utilisez un outil rotatif pour retirer
soigneusement le matériau afin que le micro passe au
travers de la zone découpée. (Attention : Assurez-vous
de maintenir l'ensemble gauche de la jugulaire/la
boucle à l'écart de l'outil coupant afin de ne pas
endommager l'ensemble jugulaire/boucle durant
l'opération. Veuillez noter également de retirer SEULEMENT le matériau de la base de la cavité encastrée,
et non pas des côtés (Figure F).

7) From the outside of the helmet, route the boom
mike through the previously cut hole on the left side
of the helmet. Route both speaker wires through the
small rectangular opening at the rear of the recessed
area. Finish installing the J&M boom mike/sidecover
assembly onto the helmet by first inserting the rear of
the assembly into the helmet and then press firmly on
the front of the assembly to snap it into place.

7) Desde el exterior del casco, canalice el micrófono
de pértiga por el agujero perforado anteriormente en
el lado izquierdo del casco. Encamine ambos alambres de altavoces por la pequeña apertura rectangular
en la parte posterior del área empotrada. Termine
instalando el conjunto J&M de micrófono/cubierta lateral en el casco, insertando primero en el casco la
parte posterior del conjunto, para luego presionar
firmemente la parte frontal del conjunto para encajarlo en su lugar (Figuras G, H e I).
8) Place one of the speakers into the right ear pocket,
with the wire positioned downward and press it firmly
onto the Velcro pad. Plug the wire from this speaker
into the longer of the two wires from the mike/electrical socket assembly. Route the remainder of the wire
to the rear of the helmet tucking it under the edge of
the helmet shell. (Figure J.)
9) Duplicate step 8 for the left side speaker installation, using the shorter of the two speaker wires from
the boom mike/electrical socket assembly.
10) Pull the small foam windsock over the microphone, so that the contoured portion of the foam is
directly over the position on the microphone that is
spoken into.
11) Position the boom mike so that it exits above the
snap in the left side of the helmet (Figure K.) and
then re-install the padded inner liner into the helmet.
Tuck any remaining wire between the padding and the
helmet shell with the provided wooden tool.

7) Führen Sie das Mikrofon von der Außenseite des
Helms durch das zuvor geschnittene Loch auf der
linken Helmseite. Beide Lautsprecherkabel durch die
kleine rechteckige Öffnung an der Rückseite des ausgesparten Bereichs leiten. Den Einbau der
Mikrofon/Seitenabdeckungs-Einheit von J&M an dem
Helm abschließen, indem Sie zunächst die Rückseite
der Einheit in den Helm stecken und dann kräftig auf
die Vorderseite der Einheit drücken, damit sie fest einrastet (Abb. G, H und I).
8) Setzen Sie einen der Lautsprecher (mit dem Kabel
nach unten gerichtet) in die rechte Ohraussparung und
drücken Sie ihn fest auf den Klettverschluss.
Verbinden Sie das Kabel dieses Lautsprechers mit
dem längeren der beiden Kabel von der
Mikrofon/Elektrosockel-Einheit. Den Rest des Kabels
zur Rückseite des Helms führen und unter die Kante
der Helmschale stecken (Abb. J).
9) Wiederholen Sie Schritt 8 zum Einbau des linken
Lautsprechers. Verwenden Sie dabei das kürzere der
beiden Lautsprecherkabel von der
Mikrofon/Elektrosockel-Einheit.
10) Ziehen Sie den kleinen Schaumstoff-Windschutz
über das Mikrofon, sodass der konturierte Teil des
Schaumstoffs direkt über der Stelle des Mikrofons
liegt, in die hineingesprochen wird.
11) Bringen Sie das Mikrofon so an, dass es oberhalb
des Schnappverschlusses auf der linken Helmseite
herausragt (Abb. K), und setzen Sie die gepolsterte
Innenbeschichtung wieder in den Helm ein. Drücken
Sie das restliche Kabel mit dem mitgelieferten
Holzwerkzeug zwischen der Polsterung und der
Helmschale ein.
8) Coloque uno de los altavoces en la cavidad para
oreja derecha, con el cable apuntando hacia abajo, y
presiónelo firmemente en la almohadilla de Velcro®.
Conecte el cable de este altavoz con el más largo de
los dos cables que salen del conjunto de
micrófono/enchufe eléctrico. Encamine el resto del
cable hacia la parte posterior del casco, metiéndolo
bajo el borde de la caparazón del casco (Figura J).

9) Repita el paso 8 para la instalación del altavoz del
lado izquierdo, usando el más corto de los dos cables
del altavoz que salen del conjunto de micrófono de
pértiga/enchufe eléctrico.
10) Coloque la funda de espuma pequeña sobre el
micrófono, de manera que la parte perfilada de la
espuma quede directamente sobre la posición en la
que se habla.
11) Coloque el micrófono de pértiga de forma que
salga arriba del cierre en el lado izquierdo del casco
(Figura K), y luego reinstale el forro acolchado interior
en el casco. Meta todo el cable restante entre el
acolchado y la caparazón exterior con la herramienta
de madera proporcionada.

7) À partir de l'intérieur du casque, faites passer le
micro par l'orifice préalablement coupé sur le côté
gauche du casque. Faites passer les deux fils des
haut-parleurs par le petit orifice rectangulaire à l'arrière de la zone encastrée. Finissez d'installer
l'ensemble micro/panneaux latéraux J&M sur le
casque en introduisant d'abord l'arrière de l'ensemble
dans le casque et en appuyant fortement sur l'avant
de l'ensemble pour le mettre en place (Figures G, H
et I).
8) Mettez un haut-parleur dans la cavité auriculaire
droite en positionnant le fil vers le bas et appuyez
fortement sur la bande Velcro®. Branchez le fil de ce
haut-parleur dans le plus long des deux fils du bloc
perche de micro/prise électrique. Acheminez le reste
du fil vers l'arrière du casque en le rentrant sous le
bord de la paroi du casque (Figure J).
9) Répétez l'étape 8 pour le haut-parleur gauche, en
utilisant le fil de haut-parleur court du bloc perche de
micro/prise électrique.
10) Installez le petit manchon de mousse sur le
microphone, de façon à ce que la partie profilée de la
mousse se trouve alignée directement avec la bouche
du microphone.
11) Positionnez le micro perche afin qu'il sorte audessus de la fermeture sur le côté gauche du casque
(Figure K), puis réinstallez le revêtement interne rembourré dans le casque. Rentrez le reste du fil entre le
coussin et la paroi du casque à l'aide de l'outil en
bois fourni à cet effet.
