Die Uhren-Seminare finden in der ehemaligen Universitätsstadt Rinteln
statt. Rinteln ist ein schönes, kleines Städtchen mit alten historischen
Fachwerkhäuserbestand aus der Weserrenaissance. Es liegt im
Weserbergland, unmittelbar an der A 2 und ist verkehrstechnisch gut
zu erreichen.
Alle Seminare finden in den SCHAUMBURG WATCH Räumen statt. Diese
befinden sich in einem kernsanierten Fachwerkgebäude aus dem 17.
Jahrhundert direkt am Kirchplatz 5 in Rinteln.

In diesem 2-Tages-Seminar bauen Sie zwei exklusive Armbanduhren.
Am Anfang steht eine Uhr mit fein dekoriertem Handaufzugswerk.
Die zweite Uhr ist eine Automatik. Verschiedene Zifferblattvarianten
stehen Ihnen zur Auswahl. Vom klassischen Design bis hin zur
Fliegerausführung.
Automatikuhr & Chronometrierung
(1000M Taucheruhr & Chronometrierung)
Das Thema dieses Seminars ist die Automatikuhr. Hier werden
Sie die maximalen technischen Möglichkeiten einer mechanischen
Hochleistungs-Taucheruhr selbst gestalten.
Chronometrierung: bei diesem Thema geht es um das Gangverhalten
von Uhrwerken. Hier versuchen wir die Ganggenauigkeitsmöglichkeiten
eines Uhrwerkes maximal auszuschöpfen.
Der Tourbillon (Inhalt nach CCM Braun)
In diesem CCM Braun Seminar beschäftigen Sie sich mit dem Tourbillon,
einer der Königsklassen der mechanischen Uhr. Jedes Gehäuse ist
mit einer persönliche Gravur versehen, der Sie als Teilnehmer dieser
aussergewöhnlichen und exklusiven Veranstaltung ausweist.

Ebbe und Flut, beeinflusst Wachstumsphasen der Natur sowie unseren Biorhythmus, inspiriert Dichter und
Denker und fasziniert als Komplikation in winzigen mechanischen Uhrwerken. Der Mond ist das mit Abstand
hellste Objekt am Himmel. Oberflächendetails sind schon mit bloßem Auge erkennbar. Die Umlaufzeit unseres
Erdtrabanten beträgt 27,3217 Tage. Einfache Mondphasenuhren bemessen den Mondzyklus mit 27,5 Tagen.
Um die Mondphasen über Jahre genau auf einer Uhr darzustellen, bedarf es eines komplizierten Räderwerkes.
Analog zur täglichen Verschiebung des Mondaufgangs um etwa 50 Minuten treten auch Ebbe und Flut täglich
um etwa 50 Minuten später ein.
Our moon is 384‘000 km - which measures our earth diameter about thirty times - away from us. From
this distance "Luna" controls low and high tide, influences the growth of nature, our biorhythm and not least
inspires poets and thinkers. All these qualities of our moon are expressed in all the detailed and tiny movement
mechanisms. The moon is by far the brightest object we can see in our sky. Details of the surface can be
recognized with the eyes only. For a complete Astron rotation the moon needs 27.3217 days. Simple moonphase-watches measure one Astron cycle with 27.5 days. For expressing the exact lunar cycle over years
with a watch, complicated and detailed movement mechanisms are required.

Springfluten bei Voll- und Neumond verdeutlichen den gewaltigen Krafteinfluss des Himmelstrabanten
auf jeglichen Wasserhaushalt bei uns auf der Erde. Am 16. April 1998 in der renommierten Zeitschrift
„Nature“ veröffentlichte wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen haben ergeben, dass sich der Durchmesser
von Bäumen im Rhythmus von Ebbe und Flut verändert. Der Schweizer Holzwissenschaftler Ernst Zürcher
und seine Kollegen vermuten, dass der Mond den Wasserhaushalt eines Baumes insofern beeinflusst, dass
gemäß den Gezeiten ein Wasseraustausch zwischen den unterschiedlichen Teilen eines Baumes stattfindet. Wie also können wir davon ausgehen, dass der Mond uns unberührt lässt? So entspricht beispielsweise der Zyklus von Frauen in Naturvölkern dem des Mondes. Es gibt Menschen, die sich bei Vollmond nicht
operieren lassen, da dann angeblich durch stärkere Blutungen Komplikationen auftreten können. Außerdem
sollen die Selbstheilungskräfte bei zunehmendem Mond stärker sein. Abnehmender Mond eignet sich eher
zum Entschlacken bzw. Entgiften des Körpers als dazu, neue Energie aufzubauen.
Spring tide at times of full and new moon show how enormous powers the moon has on the earth´s water
supplies. On April 16th in 1998 the renowned magazine "Nature" published a scientific research revealing
that the diametre of trees changes in the same rhythm as low and high tide. The Swiss scientist Ernst
Zürcher and his colleagues suggest that the water budget of a tree is influenced by the moon as there is
a water exchange in different parts of the tree during the tides. So how can we claim that the moon does
not affect us? The monthly period of indigenous women for example corresponds to the lunar cycle. Some
people won´t undergo a surgery during full moon, because it is said that heavier bleedings or complications
can occur. Powers for self-healing are supposed to be stronger during waxing moon. Waning moon is good
to detoxicate and deslag your body so you can gain new energy.

Die Mondphasen haben also einen nachhaltigen Einfluss auf unser Leben. Wir modernen Menschen sind allerdings dem natürlichen Licht- und Gezeitenrhythmus so weit entrückt, dass wir eine Mondphasenuhr brauchen, um uns des aktuellen Mondstandes bewusst zu sein. So erfahren Mondphasenuhren und Mondkalender
in letzter Zeit eine gewaltige Renaissance. Das aus der Naturbeobachtung entstandene und in Bauernregeln
enthaltene sowie in Mondkalendern verzeichnete Wissen machten sich schon Generationen vor uns zu Nutzen.
So hilft letztendlich eine mechanische Mondphasenuhr dabei, wieder naturverbundener zu leben.
Jeden Monat durchläuft der Mond seine Phasen vom Neumond über eine zunehmende Sichel, den Halbmond bis
hin zum Vollmond und wieder zurück. Wir sehen also meist lediglich einen Ausschnitt des nur halb beleuchteten
Trabanten, abhängig von unserem Winkel zu Sonne und Mond: Steht der Mond der Sonne gegenüber, sehen wir
die beleuchtete Seite vollständig als runde Scheibe am Himmel – es ist Vollmond. Steht er ihr allerdings genau
gegenüber, wird er vom Erdschatten verdunkelt und es kommt zur sehr seltenen Mondfinsternis. Steht der
Erdtrabant im rechten Winkel zur Sonne, sehen wir den Halbmond. Steht der Mond zwischen Erde und Sonne,
dreht er uns die unbeleuchtete Seite zu und wir können ihn nicht sehen – es ist Neumond. Steht er exakt
zwischen Sonne und Erde, kommt es zur noch selteneren Sonnenfinsternis.
The phases of the moon have sustainable influence on our lifes. But in our modern life we are far away from
living according to the natural light and tide rhythms, so that we need a moon-phase-watch to become aware
of the current phase of the moon. Therefore lunar-watches and moon calender are having a recent renaissance. What we know from field observation, folk sayings and moon calender has been useful to a lot of generations before us. Therefore the moon-phase-watch helps us to live in close touch with the nature again.
Every month the moon passes through its cycle from new moon to a swelling crescent moon till full moon and
back. Most of the time we can only see a part of the half illuminated Trabant, according to the angle we have
to the sun and the moon. If the moon faces the sun we can completely see the illuminated side appearing as
a disc in the sky - it is full moon. But if the moon is exactely facing the sun, the earth shadows the moon and
it comes to a very unusual total eclipse. If the moon is in right angle to the sun, we have half moon. If the
position of the moon is between the earth and the sun, we face the dark side and cannot see the moon - it
is new moon. If the moon is exactely positioned between the sun and the earth, we experience the seldom
phenomenon of solar eclipse.

Mondphasenuhren haben eine lange Tradition. Eine Kalenderuhr ist erst dann vollwertig, wenn sie durch eine
Mondphasenanzeige zur Vollkalenderuhr wird. Manko der meisten Mondphasenuhren ist jedoch ihre Ungenauigkeit, nur wenige sehr teure Exemplare halten ihre Genauigkeit über Jahrzehnte lang. Seit jeher spielen
Uhren mit astronomischen Zeitanzeigen eine wichtige Rolle bei Schaumburg Watch. Modelle wie die Phase de
Lune (2001) oder die Lunarium (2009) verkörpern dieses Thema auf sehr eindrucksvolle Weise. Es handelte
sich hierbei um konventionelle Mondphasenmodule mit Funktionsweisen, wie man Sie von vielen bekannten
Uhrenmanufakturen her kennt.
Lunar-phase-watches have a long tradition. A calendar watch is only completed if it contains a lunarphase-display. The deficit of most lunar-phase-watches is their inaccuracy, only some very expensive pieces
can keep their precision for decades. Watches with astronomic chronometers have always played an important role for Schaumburg Watch. Pieces as the Phase de Lune (2001) or the Lunarium (2009) present this
topic in a striking manner. Both are conventional lunar-phase-watches with the functionality known from many
renowned watch manufactors.

Die Mondzyklen waren bei SCHAUMBURG WATCH schon immer ein Thema: Unser erklärtes Ziel war es vielmehr, eine möglichst realistische Mondphasenanzeige mit möglichst exakter Funktionsweise in eine Armbanduhr zu integrieren. Die Grundidee des MooN Kalibers basiert auf einer Zusammenarbeit mit bekannten
schweizer Komplikationsentwicklern. So hatten wir die Möglichkeit, das einzigartiges Basismodul weiter zu
entwickeln. Die fotorealistische Darstellung der MooN ist mit 13,4 mm die wohl weltgrößte Mondphasenanzeige in einer Automatikuhr. Dabei bewegt sich nicht die Darstellung des Mondes selbst, sondern eine Erdschatten-Simulation. So bleibt der Mond wie in einer sternenklaren Nacht auch auf dem Ziffernblatt bei Neumond
sichtbar. Ziel der Entwicklungsarbeit von SCHAUMBURG WATCH war eine dauerhaft realistische Mondphasenanzeige. Erreicht wurde sie durch eine zum Patent angemeldete nachtleuchtende photorealistische Monddarstellung, die sich im Gegensatz zu anderen Mondphasenuhren nicht bewegt, sondern dem jeweiligen Erdschatten entsprechend mit einer teiltransparenten Scheibe verdeckt wird. Bei Vollmond strahlt der kleine Mond auf
der Uhr dank Superluminova A-Grade Leuchtmasse wie sein großes Vorbild. Dieses völlig neue Design ersetzt
die kreisförmige Monddarstellung im halbkreisförmigen Ausschnitt der herkömmlichen Anzeigen. Möglich ist die
fotorealistische Darstellung erst dadurch, dass uns unser Erdtrabant immer dieselbe Seite zuwendet. Wer
kennt sie nicht, die Geschichten um den Mann im Mond?
The phases of the moon have always been a topic for Schaumburg Watch: Our aim was to integrate a most
realistic moon-phase-chronometer with most precise functionality into a wrist watch. The basic idea of the
MooN calibre is due to a cooperation with well-known Swiss complication-developers. We had the possibility to
further refine the unique basic model. The realistic depiction of the MooN with its 13.4 mm is ought to be the
world´s biggest moon-phase-chronometer that you can find in an automatic watch. Thereby not the depiction of the moon itself moves but the simulation of the earth shadow. Therefore the moon stays visible on the
dial like in a starlit night even when it is new moon. The goal of the development cooperation for Schaumburg
Watch was to create a permanent realistic moon-phase-chronometer. And we reached our aim with a patented realistic luminescent moon depicition, that does not - in contrast to other models - move, but is shadowed according to the earth-moving by a semitransparent disc. During full moon its small image on the display
shines like its big paragon because of the Superluminova A-Grade luminous mass. This completely new design
substitutes the circular depiction of the moon seen in the semi circle section of the conventional display. The
fotorealisitc depiction is only possible because the moon always turns towards us with the same side. And
who does not know the story of the man on the moon?

Eine weitere von SCHAUMBURG WATCH entwickelte Superlative ist die wahlweise Auslieferung der MooN
mit rechts- oder linkslaufender Mondphase für die Nord- bzw. Südhalbkugel der Erde. Diese Eigenentwicklung
basiert auf einem neuartigen Wechselräderwerk, welches es ermöglicht, die Mondphase dem Breitengrad
entsprechend links- oder rechtseinlaufend auszuliefern. Ein weiteres Highlight ist die fast schon absolute Genauigkeit der Mondphasenanzeige: Erst in 122,5 Jahren weicht der angezeigte Mondzyklus gerade einmal um
einen einzigen Tag ab. Ebenso wichtig wie die jahrzehntelange Anzeigegenauigkeit war uns die minutengenaue
Einstellung der Mondphase auf dem Ziffernblatt. Der Korrekturdrücker bei 8 Uhr ermöglicht eine minuziöse
Drehung des Erdschattens über dem Mond, so dass ein Vollmond beispielsweise genau auf 10:05 Uhr abends
eingestellt werden kann.
Das schweizer Basiswerk SW-11 ist ein hochfeines automatisches Manufakturkaliber. Das 11 ½ linige und mit
nur 3.6 mm sehr flache Kaliber ist keine experimentelle Entwicklung, es legt vielmehr den Fokus auf Qualität
und Zuverlässigkeit. Das SW-11 hat die Zertifizierung der schweizer Chronofiable erhalten. Um dieses zu
erhalten, müssen viele umfassende Tests bestanden werden: Ein Testzyklus zur Alterung des Werks, ein Testzyklus zur Überprüfung von Zug- und Schubkräften, Reaktion auf Magnetfeldern uvm. Nicht zuletzt aus diesen
Gründen findet man das Werk auch bei High-End Uhrenmanufakturen der Haute Horlogerie wieder.
A further superlative that was developed by Schaumburg Watch is the choice to order the MooN with the
moon shadow entering the display from the right or left for the northern or southern hemisphere. This self-development is based on an innovative minute wheel system that allows to deliver the model with the lunar phase
depicted on the right or left side according to the latitude. A further highlight is the almost absolute precision
of the moon-phase-chronometer. Only in 122.5 years the depicted moon cycle differs from the real one just
one day. Equally important as the decade-long precision of the chronometer we considered the up-to-theminute adjustment of the moon phase on the dial. The correction button near eight o´clock allows a minutely
detailed rotation of the shadow of the earth above the moon, so that a full moon can be for instance exactely
adjusted to 10.05pm.
The Swiss basic movement SW-11 is a high-filigree automatic manufacture calibre. The 11 1/2 lined, very flat
3.6 mm calibre is not an experimental development it rather focuses on quality and reliablility. The SW-11 has
received a certification from the Swiss Chronofiable. To get certified the watch has to pass extensive tests:
a test cycle on the aging of the movement, a test cycle on tractive and thrusting forces and the reaction to
magnetic fields. Not least because of these qualities you will find the movement at high-end-watch-manufactors of the Haute Horlogerie.

Das Zifferblatt selbst ist in vier Varianten erhältlich: Wahlweise in Schwarz oder Weiß sowie gegen Aufpreis
in aufwändiger Cloisonné Emaille mit Sternenbild oder sogar mit einem echten Meteoritenziffernblatt, dessen Material aus der Wüstenregion in Namibia stammt. Geliefert wird es mit einem Echtheitszertifikat und
erinnert daran, dass der Mond vor Jahrmilliarden durch eine kosmische Kollision entstand. Gebildet hat sich
unser Erdmond dem aktuellen Stand der Wissenschaft entsprechend vor etwa 4,5 Milliarden Jahren aus den
Bruchstücken der Kollision eines etwa marsgroßen Planeten mit der Erde.
Solch ausgefuchster Uhrwerktechnik haben wir anstelle eines Standardgehäuses ein alltagstaugliches
Stahlgehäuse spendiert, dessen schmucke Form allein schon für Begeisterung sorgt. Das 43 mm große und
sehr massive Gehäuse läuft nach unten konisch zu und besitzt besonders formschöne Bandanstöße für 22
mm Bänder. Verschraubt sind außer dem massiven Gehäuseboden auch die Bandanstöße, damit man diese
wunderschöne und wertvolle mechanische Mondphasenuhr im Alltag auf keinen Fall verliert. Ein neuartiges
Hightech-Textilband mit funktioneller Faltschließe komplettiert die robuste Gehäuseausstattung. Als besonderes Highlight haben wir die Lünette mondsichelförmig gestaltet, wodurch ihre Anfälligkeit für Kratzer deutlich abnimmt. Auch die Form der Bandanstöße ist sehr individuell und erhöht den Wiedererkennungswert der
gleichermaßen sportlichen wie eleganten Uhr in aktueller Größe.
The dial itself is available in four variations: optional in black, white or with a surcharge in a costly Cloisonné
enamel designed with signs of the zodiac or even with a real meteorite dial whose material originates from
a desert region in Gambia. The watch is delivered with a certificate of genuineness, the dial returns to our
minds that the moon arised billions of years ago through a cosmic collision. According to the recent state of
the art the moon has arised about 4.6 billion years ago and was formed by fractionaries of the collision of a
planet with the size of Mars with the earth.
Due to such cunning movement-technique we installed a steel case suitable for daily use instead of a standard case - its well-designed form already causes enthusiasm. The 43 mm sized and very massive case is
conical at the bottom and has well-formed lugs for 22 mm straps.The band attachments are also screwed
as well as the massive case back, so that the beautiful and costly mechanical moon-phase-watch can not get
lost easily in everyday life. An innovative high-tech textile band with functional folding clasp completes the robust case equipment. As a special highlight we have designed the bezel in the form of a crescent moon which
also protects it from scratches. Also the form of the lugs is very unique and increases the recognition value
of the sportive and elegant watch in current size.

Das Meteoritenzifferblatt der MooN besteht aus Bruchstücken von Asteroiden und stammt aus dem Asteroidengürtel zwischen Mars und Jupiter. Durch Kollisionen wurden sie von ihrem Mutterkörper losgeschlagen.
Die typischen Widmanstätten-Figuren in unseren Meteoriten Zifferblättern können zum Beispiel nur entstehen, wenn ein geschmolzener metallischer Körper sehr langsam, über Millionen von Jahren abkühlt.

The meteorite dial of the MooN consists of asteroidal fragments from the asteroid belt between Mars and
Jupiter. In processes of collision these fragments split off from their „home planet“. The typical Widmanstätten pattern of the meteorite dial can only develop when a melted metal subject cools down very slowly over
millions of years.
So the meteorite material that is fabricated for the Schaumburg Watch Perpetual MooN Meteorite did need
millions of years and a distance of several million kilometres to become part of this extraordinary watch.

In the 16th century monks and alchemists , who were to make a
precious stone for the pope which links heaven and earth, invented
the gold stone. Its name comes from the fact that it shines like
gold and begins to flow at high temperatures. The recipe for the
production of the gold stone still remains a secret today. For us
the gold stone is the perfect source material for the dials of the
Galaxy and Signs of Zodiac. Although the treatment of the glasslike material is very difficult and complex, we are proud to have
produced a unique watch which links heaven and earth.
Im 16. Jahrhundert sollen italienische Mönche zusammen mit Alchemisten im Auftrag des Papstes, einen Edelstein herzustellen, der
Himmel und Erde verbindet, den Goldfluss (Goldstone) geschaffen
haben. Sein Name leitet sich davon ab, dass er bei hohen Temperaturen wie Gold glitzert und zu fließen beginnt. Das Rezept, nach
dem der Goldfluss hergestellt wird, ist bis heute ein Geheimnis.
Für uns war der Goldstone das perfekte Ausgangsmaterial für die
Zifferblätter der Galaxy & Signs of Zodiac . Auch wenn die Verarbeitung des glasartigen Materials sich als sehr schwierig und
aufwendig darstellte, sind wir stolz, dass wir eine einzigartige Uhr
geschaffen haben, die Himmel und Erde verbindet.

After a long development phase we are very happy to present you the
Retrolateur as the latest news at Schaumburg watch in 2010. As the
name might already reveal we created a regulator with a double retrograde second. The operation of the retrograde seconds takes place
in two merging periods. When the starting second is over after
30 seconds the other second hand automatically runs from the
thirtieth to the sixtieth second. When the sixtieth second is
reached the procedure begins anew. It is a real pleasure to
watch the passing of the time in this special form. The Retrolateur can be ordered in two different crafted versions.

retrograden Sekunden erfolgt in zwei ineinanderlaufenden Perioden. Ist die startende Sekunde nach 30
Sekunden abgelaufen startet automatisch der zweite Sekundenindikator von der 30zigsten bis zur
60zigsten Sekunde. Nach Ablauf der 60zigsten
Sekunde beginnt der Kreislauf von vorn. Es ist
ein wirklicher Genuss den Lauf der Zeit in dieser
Form betrachten zu dürfen. Der Retrolateur

movement at the Schaumburger Brücke represents a special example. Its balance spring pistons, for
instance, are engraved with a stylus, in finest filigree handicraft. The finishing of the metal blanks
is done by an elaborate handicraft grinding technique or, if desired, by filigree manual engraving.
The power reserve display of the raising and lowering work indicates precisely when it is the time to
enjoy the feeling of the mechanical winding-up by moving the winder. The handicraftsmanship qualities

In 2011 we already made a splash with
the disc display of the Disk. The Disk

The CONCEPTUM of Schaumburg Watch with its case size of 43,5mm
diameter feels highly comfortable on everyone‘s wrist. The lugs are
double screwed at the watch and the strap. So they can freely be moved
vertically and they ergonomically adjust to the wrist.
Additionally to the perfect ergonomic design and high wearing comfort
of course the clear readability at day and night time is most important.
The lucid index dial and the clear formed hands remind of the principles
of Bauhaus design. This watch demonstrates how form follows function.

It is a perfect combination of classic design elements and the innovative watch technology of Schaumburg Watch. When choosing the
material of the dial we entered new ways. They consist of fine white
mother-of-pearl. When designing the dial, our designers kept to
the guide lines of the big elegant Gnomonik one-hand watch. The 35
mm steel case can be obtained with a topaz-covered bezel in four
different colors. The topaz has been known for at least 2000 years and belongs to the precious stones which compose the foundation of the new Jerusalem. These stones were to symbolize beauty
and glamor and to ward enemies off.
