the components whilst in transit. It is
made from environmentally-friendly,
re-usable corrugated cardboard. The
plastic bags are made of recyclable
polyethylene (PE).

Description of the appliance
Der Durchlauferhitzer DSX ist ein
mikroprozessorgesteuerter, druckfester
Durchlauferhitzer zur dezentralen
Warmwasserbereitung an einer oder
mehreren Zapfstellen.
The instantaneous water heater DSX is
a microprocessor-controlled, pressureresistant water heater for a decentralised
water supply to one or more tap
connections.
Die Elektronik regelt die Leistungsaufnahme in Abhängigkeit von der
gewählten Auslauftemperatur, der
jeweiligen Einlauftemperatur und der
Durchflussmenge, um die eingestellte
Temperatur gradgenau zu erreichen und
bei Druckschwankungen konstant zu
halten. Die gewünschte Auslauftemperatur kann durch Tastendruck von 20 °C bis
60 °C eingegeben und an der digitalen
Anzeige abgelesen werden.
Its electronic control regulates the power
consumption depending on the selected
outlet temperature, the respective inlet
temperature and the flow rate, thus
reaching the set temperature exactly to
the degree and keeping it constant in
case of pressure fluctuations. The
required outlet temperature can be
entered on a keypad within a range
between 20 °C and 60 °C and can be
read off the digital display.

Wandhalter montieren
Installing the wall bracket
Wenn Sie den Durchlauferhitzer DSX im
Austausch gegen ein anderes Fabrikat
montieren, müssen in der Regel keine
neuen Löcher für den Wandhalter
gebohrt werden. In diesem Fall brauchen
Sie nur die Einschraubnippel (23) wie
unter 2. beschrieben einzuschrauben und
den Wandhalter zu montieren.
If you install the instantaneous water
heater DSX instead of a conventional
instantaneous water heater, there is
generally no need to drill holes for the
wall bracket. In this case, you only need
to screw in the double nipples (23) as
described under point 2. and to secure
the wall bracket.

1. Zum Öffnen des Gehäuses die Blende
abnehmen und die zentrale Haubenschraube lösen.

the faceplate and unscrew the main
hood screw.
• Im Austauschfall kann es
vorkommen, dass die Elektrozuleitung im oberen Gerätebereich
vorhanden ist. Nur dann öffnen Sie
die Sollbruchstelle (S) an der
Prägung durch kräftigen Druck mit
einem stumpfen Werkzeug
(z.B. Schraubendreher).
• When replacing an appliance, the
electrical power supply cable may be
connected in the upper part. Only in
such case, press against the prepared
breaking point (S) with a blunt
implement (e.g. screwdriver).
• Schneiden Sie die Durchführungstülle (22) entsprechend
dem Zuleitungsquerschnitt auf.
Dabei soll die Öffnung in der Tülle
etwas kleiner als der Querschnitt
des Kabels sein, um einen optimalen Schutz gegen Wasser zu
erzielen. Passen Sie die Tülle in den
Durchbruch ein. Die Schutztülle
muss verwendet werden!
• Slit the grommet (22) to match the
cable size. The opening in the grommet
should be slightly smaller than the
cross-section of the cable in order to
ensure optimum protection against
water. Fit the grommet into the
opening. The protection grommet must
be used!
• Manteln Sie das Elektrokabel

• Strip the cable roughly 6 cm above the

Hold the prepared appliance so that you
can route the cable into the grommet
with the other hand.

2. Place the appliance on the heater
bracket (10) so that the threaded rod
of the wall bracket fits in the provided
hole of the appliance. If necessary,
slight corrections are possible by
carefully bending the threaded rod of
the wall bracket. However, it must be
possible to screw on the water
connection pipes of the appliance
without applying force.

3. Schrauben Sie die beiden 3/8“Überwurfmuttern der Wasseranschlussleitungen des Gerätes
jeweils mit der 3/8“-Dichtung auf die
installierten Anschlussstücke.

Direct connection
Bei Direktzapfung sind die beiden 1/2“
Einschraubnippel (23) und die 1/2“ Dichtungen mit den 1/2“ Überwurfmuttern
des Warmwasser- (1) und Kaltwasseranschlussstückes (20) zu verschrauben.
Die beiden 1/2“ Blindkappen der
seitlichen Abgänge des Warm- (1) und
Kaltwasseranschlussstückes (20) sind zu
demontieren und mit dem offenen Ende
der Einschraubnippel (23) zu
verschrauben. Die Warm- und Kaltwasseranschlussstücke sind dann mit
den 3/8“ Dichtungen an die 3/8“
Überwurfmutter des Gerätes und

the appliance and open the hot water
tap. Once you feel that the water is too
hot, do not add any cold water and,
instead, enter a lower temperature on
the appliance. If you were to add cold
water, the water already heated would
cool down again and valuable energy
would be wasted. Moreover, the cold
water added in the tap is not covered by
the control range of the electronic
circuitry, with the result that temperature
constancy is no longer guaranteed when
using several taps at once.

that the inlet temperature does not
exceed 70 °C.
Sollte bei Betrieb mit vorerwärmtem
Wasser die Einlauftemperatur den
vorgewählten Sollwert übersteigen, wird
keine Leistung abgegeben, die Anzeige
zeigt »EINLAUF ZU HEISS« an.

entlüftet werden. Nach jeder Entleerung
(z.B. nach Arbeiten in der Wasserinstallation, wegen Frostgefahr oder
nach Reparaturen am Gerät) muss das
Gerät vor der Wiederinbetriebnahme
erneut entlüftet werden.
The instantaneous water heater DSX
features an automatic air bubble protection to prevent it from inadvertently
running dry. Nevertheless, the appliance
must be vented before using it for the
first time. Each time the appliance is
emptied (e.g. after work on the
plumbing system, if there is a risk of
frost or following repair work), the
appliance must be re-vented before it
is used again.
1. Trennen Sie den Durchlauferhitzer

Durch Verschmutzung des Siebes kann
die Warmwasserleistung vermindert
werden, so dass die Reinigung
beziehungsweise der Austausch des
Siebes wie folgt vorzunehmen ist:

mehrfach überprüft. Tritt ein Problem auf, so liegt es oft nur an einer Kleinigkeit.
Schalten Sie zunächst die Sicherungen aus und wieder ein, um die Elektronik
»zurückzusetzen«. Prüfen Sie dann, ob Sie das Problem mit Hilfe der folgenden

Für das Ausland gelten die in den Verkaufs- und Lieferbedingungen vereinbarten bzw. gesetzlichen Garantiebedingungen des
jeweiligen Landes. Die gesetzlichen Gewährleistungsrechte (nach Erfüllung, Rücktritt, Schadenersatz und Minderung) werden

Für Ihr privat genutztes Warmwassergerät gewähren wir ab Kaufdatum eine Garantie von 24 Monaten, bei gewerblicher
Nutzung beträgt die Garantie 12 Monate. Voraussetzung für den Garantieanspruch ist, dass der mitgelieferte Garantieschein
ordnungsgemäß und vollständig ausgefüllt wurde. Dieser Garantieschein muss bei der Inanspruchnahme der Garantie
zusammen mit dem Kaufbeleg vorgelegt werden. Am besten ist es, wenn Sie uns den Garantieschein nach der Installation
zur Registrierung einschicken.
Es besteht kein Garantieanspruch bei Schäden oder Funktionsstörungen, die aufgrund von Frosteinwirkung,Verkalkung,
chemischer oder elektrochemischer Einwirkung, durch unsachgemäße Verwendung, falschen Anschluss, Verschmutzung der
Wasserein- oder -auslaufarmturen, Nichtbeachtung der Montage-, Wartungs- und Gebrauchsanleitung oder eigenmächtige
Eingriffe in das Gerät entstanden sind. Die Garantie erstreckt sich ferner nicht auf die natürliche Abnutzung des Gerätes.
Sobald ein Schaden/Mangel aufgetreten ist, muss dieser innerhalb von 14 Tagen nach Erkennbarkeit uns gegenüber schriftlich
angezeigt werden. Hiernach prüfen wir, ob der Garantie-Anspruch zu recht besteht. Für den Fall seines Bestehens entscheiden

Guarantee terms
These guarantee terms shall be governed solely after purchase and use of our appliances in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Abroad, the corresponding guarantee terms are based on the contractual General Terms of Sale and Delivery resp. on the
statutory terms of guarantee of each country. Statutory warranty rights (after performance, rescission, liability and reduction)
are not affected by this guarantee. This guarantee statement shall be considered as voluntary from the manufacturer.
From the date of purchase, CLAGE grants a 24 months' Guarantee period for your privately used hot water appliance and
12 months for commercial use on condition that the Certificate of guarantee delivered with the unit is duly completed, stamped
and dated by the dealer. The latter shall be presented together with the purchase document when claiming under guarantee.
We recommend that the guarantee certificate card be sent to CLAGE Lueneburg for registration after installation of the unit.
The guarantee does not cover damage or malfunctions due to the build-up of scale, frost, chemicals or electromechanical process,
from incorrect use, incorrect installation, dirt in the inlet and outlet pipes, non-compliance with the operating instructions or
unauthorised modification of the heater. Furthermore, the guarantee shall not cover any normal abrasion of the appliance.
In the event of a damage/claim, we are to be informed in writing within 14 days after recognition of the fault. After receipt, we
check if a legitimate guarantee claim is justified. If notice of defects has been given in good time and is justified, CLAGE shall
decide how the damage/claim is to be rectified, either by an authorised after-sales partner or by CLAGE central customer service.
