Ich vermag alles durch den, der mich stark macht,
Christus. Philipper 4,13
Viele Jahre schon werfe ich meine Sorgen auf den Herrn.
Auch wenn ich bekennen muss, dass ich sehr versucht war,
habe ich mir seitdem keine Sorgen mehr gemacht. Ich war
nie beunruhigt und war auch nie betrübt. Egal was geschah,
ich wurde auch nicht entmutigt. Manche haben gesagt, ich
hätte nicht genug Verstand, um mich zu sorgen. Aber Gott
sei Dank verstand ich zu viel von der Bibel, um mich zu
sorgen!
Das Sich-Sorgen-machen war für mich die schwierigste
Sünde, die ich aufgab. Sorgen ist auch die größte
Versuchung, der du gegenüber stehen wirst. Aber du kannst
ihr widerstehen. Du musst es sogar.

Tisch eingeladen. Schön,
dass Du da bist.
Dein größter Feind ist das Fleisch. Das Fleisch und
natürliches, menschliches Denken werden dich auf deine
eigene Fähigkeit beschränken. Du siehst dann die
Umstände, Einflüsse, Probleme, Sorgen, Prüfungen, Stürme
und Winde, und sagst: Ich kann nicht.
Die Sprache des Zweifelns, des Fleische, der Sinne und des
Teufels sagt: Ich kann nicht. Ich habe nicht die Fähigkeit, die
Möglichkeit oder die Kraft. Ich habe meine Grenzen.
Die Sprache des Glaubens sagt: Ich vermag alles durch den,

Many years have come and gone since I cast my cares upon
the Lord, and although I will confess that I’ve been sorely
tempted, I have not worried. I have not fretted. I have not had
the blues. I have not been discouraged, no matter what. Some
people said I didn’t have enough sense to worry. But, thank
God, I had too much Bible-sense to worry!
Worry was the most difficult sin for me to give up. Worry is the
greatest temptation you will ever face too. But you can resist it.
And you must.
Your worst enemy is the flesh. The flesh and natural human
reasoning would limit you to your own ability. You look at the
circumstances, influences, problems, cares, tests, storms, and
winds, and you say, “I can’t.”
The language of doubt, the flesh, the senses, and the Devil is,
“I can’t. I don’t have the ability, the opportunity, or the strength.
I’m limited.”
But the language of faith says, “I can do all things through
Christ who strengthens me.”

Ab sofort: Medientisch jeden 1. und 3. Sonntag im Monat.
From now on: Media Table every 1st and 3rd Sunday in a month.
THEMENMONAT
Im Oktober geht bei uns (fast) alles um Evangelisation. Jeder
ist eingeladen, bei der Nachbesprechung der Predigten in
einem der 4 Hauskreise dabei zu sein (die Liste liegt am Info
Tisch aus). Zusätzlich wird an zwei Samstagen (10. und 24.
Oktober) Nachbesprechung der Predigt angeboten. In diesen
Gruppen wollen wir gemeinsam erarbeiten, wie wir das
Gehörte umsetzen können. Außerdem ist Raum für Fragen und
gemeinsames Erarbeiten von Antworten. Eine Bereicherung für
alle, die kommen!
Pastorale Gespräche Pastoral Counseling
Pastorale Gespräche bzw. biblische Seelsorge ist im Rahmen unseres
Sonntagsgottesdienstes leider nicht möglich. Bitte macht einen Termin mit dem
Gemeindebüro aus. Vielen Dank!

MOTTOMONTH
Fundkiste Lost and Found
In October there will be a focus on evangelism in our church with
an opportunity for everyone to participate in home groups that
will talk about this subject. Our current home groups, and two
special Saturday home groups (10. and 24. October) for those
unable to participate in our regular weekly home groups (there is
a list at the info table), will deal with evangelism. There will be
opportunity for discussion as well as questions and answers
about evangelism in these groups. This is a great opportunity for
everyone so take advantage of it in October!
Ab sofort lösen wir unsere Fundkiste auf. In Zukunft können alle verlorenen Gegenstände in der Stadthalle
abgeholt werden. Dies gilt natürlich nicht für die Verlorenen, die in eurer Nachbarschaft wohnen. Denen
solltet ihr von Jesus erzählen (siehe Kasten links).
As of now we have discontinued our Lost and Found Box. From now on you can pick up lost items at the
Stadthalle. This does not apply to your lost neighbors. Them you should tell about Jesus (see box to the left).
