In the centre of Arco, a village of 40
wooden houses displays local and
national crafts. The Christmas Market
is the place where you can find original
gift ideas, from candles to decorations,
sweets, local wines, toys, pottery and
articles handcrafted in wood.
Close to the Christmas village,
the Enchanted Garden is a fairytale
market made just for children and
also with reindeer & camels. There is a
Christmas train to take you around the
picturesque town; the Christmas snack
of traditional cakes and hot chocolate;
the Salon of Archduke Albert at the
Town Casino where you can taste local
specialities; and finally the firework
display which lights up the castle
on 8th December.

to make the ancient fortress of Riva

del centro. Nel weekend
dell’8 dicembre il profumo
della polenta e “peverada”
si sparge tra le bancarelle
del mercatino di Natale
dell’artigianato e dei prodotti tipici, evocando una festa
d’altri tempi. Nel pomeriggio, i bambini si immergono
nell’atmosfera fatata de “La
Cucina delle Fiabe di Carde e
Buba”, scoprendo un mondo magico. Eventi musicali
e cene a tema rendono vivo
durante il periodo dell’Avvento questo borgo sospeso
nel tempo.

A characteristic market is held under
the archways of the historic centre of
Dro, where you can taste and buy local
specialities such as the ‘plums of Dro’
and the traditional Vino Santo or ‘Holy
Wine’.
Stroll through the courtyards and under
the ancient porticos in the historic
centre of the hamlet of Ceniga to
see the cribs created by the locals. A
spectacular torchlight procession lights
up the night of 13th December.

Arcoland, la città dei balocchi
14/15 e 21/22 febbraio
Il Carnevale di Arco è ormai un appuntamento imperdibile per tutta la famiglia: fra
le vie del centro storico prende vita “Arcoland, la città dei balocchi”, un vero parco
dei divertimenti per i più piccoli, con casette colorate, sbandieratori, artisti di strada,
musicisti e giocolieri. Un ricco programma
di intrattenimento è previsto anche per gli
adulti, con concerti, degustazioni in piazza
e feste mascherate.
Le feste della tradizione
Numerose sono anche le occasioni per rivivere le antiche
feste della tradizione nei borghi del Garda Trentino, con
le classiche “sbigolade” di Nago-Torbole, la sagra di “Polenta e mortadella” a Varone di Riva del Garda e il rito che
conclude il periodo del carnevale, “L’alloro e il bambù” a
Romarzollo di Arco, la prima domenica di Quaresima.

the favourite festival of children, but in
Garda Trentino it is a joy for grownups
as well. Rites associated with the
reawakening of life, local fairs, food
festivals and lots of fun!
Arcoland, the land of toys
14th/15th and 21st/22nd February
The Arco Carnival is a date that none
of the family can afford to miss! In
the streets of the historic centre you
can find “Arcoland, the land of toys”,
a fun park for children, with colourful
houses, flag wavers, street artists,
musicians and jugglers. There is also
a variety of entertainment for adults,
with concerts, food tasting in the
piazza and fancy dress parties.
Traditional Festivities
There are many other occasions when
the traditional festivities of the towns
of Garda Trentino are celebrated once
more, with the typical “sbigolade”
of Nago-Torbole, the “Polenta and
Mortadella” festival in Varone di Riva
del Garda and the closing ceremony of
the carnival period, “The Bay Tree and
the Bamboo” in Romarzollo di Arco,
on the first Sunday of Lent.

die Schlaraffenstadt” einen echten
kleinen Vergnügungspark mit bunten
Häuschen, Fahnenschwingern,
Strassenkünstlern, Musikern
und Jongleuren. Auch für
Erwachsene wird ein reichhaltiges
Unterhaltungsprogramm mit
Konzerten, Verkostungen und
Maskenfesten geboten.
Die traditionellen Feste
In den Dörfern des Garda Trentino
bieten sich viele Gelegenheiten an
alten Traditionen teilzuhaben, wie den
klassischen “sbigolade” (SpaghettiVerteilung) in Nago-Torbole, dem
“Polenta und Mortadella”-Dorffest in
Varone bei Riva del Garda und dem in
Arco begangenen Ritus zum Abschluss
der Karnevalszeit “L’alloro e il bambù”
