Focus europa - Kunst ohne Grenzen
Dear visitors of the exhibition,
dear artists and focus-europa members,
with the exhibition “ART South-East Europe meets West” we have again
invited artists from European countries for the third time as a Biennale.
This time we invited artists from south-east Europe. Croatia, Bosnia and
Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia as well as from Andalusia
and the Netherlands.
These guests meet with their art works the focus-europa members from
Estonia, Lithuania, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and of course from
Germany.
With this project we can add another step to our statutory goal “to establish
networks to different European regions” –through Art without borders- once
again.
Nearly all of more than 30 international artists are expected to attend the
vernissage. We give a warm welcome to the artists and look forward to forthcoming 3 to 4 days together and to the active exchange in the encounters
with the artists from Germany.
I want to thank all supporters of this project, without them it would not be
possible to take this European idea from Drossenfeld, the administrative
district of Kulmbach and from Upper Franconia to these countries.
With new friendships to these guest countries we hope on future encounters
and an exhibition-artist exchange.
Art is borderless, overcomes all languages, is transnational, is internationally
understood and is open for artistic ideas and interpretations worldwide.

mit dieser Ausstellung „ART Süd-Ost Europa trifft West“ haben wir zum
dritten Mal als Biennale wieder Künstler aus europäischen Ländern eingeladen.
Diesmal aus Süd-Ost Europa. Kroatien, Bosnien-Herzegowina, Serbien, Montenegro und Makedonien und auch aus Andalusien und den Niederlanden. Diese
Gäste treffen mit ihren Werken auf unsere focus-Mitglieder aus Estland, Litauen, Italien, Polen, Tschechien, Slowakei und natürlich aus Deutschland.
Damit können wir erneut unser Satzungsziel, - durch Kunst ohne Grenzen Netzwerke zu Regionen Europas aufzubauen, um einen weiteren Schritt
ergänzen.
Fast alle der über 30 ausländischen Künstler werden zur Vernissage erwartet.
Wir begrüßen sie herzlich und freuen uns auf gemeinsame 3 bis 4 Tage und
einen regen Austausch in der Begegnung mit unseren deutschen Künstlern.
Mein Dank gilt allen Unterstützern dieses Projektes, ohne sie wäre es nicht
möglich gewesen, diese europäische Idee von Drossenfeld, dem Landkreis
Kulmbach und von Oberfranken aus in diese Länder zu tragen.
Mit neuen Freundschaften zu diesen Gastländern hoffen wir auf künftige
Zusammentreffen und einen Ausstellungs- und Künstleraustausch.
Kunst ist grenzenlos, überwindet jede Sprache, ist transnational, wird international verstanden und ist weltweit offen für künstlerische Ideen und Interpretationen.

Dear visitors, dear art lovers,
The team of focus-europa presents themselves in the year of their 10th
anniversary with the excellent exhibition “ART South-East meets West”: 128
artworks altogether from 52 artists coming from 14 countries should inspire
and provoke thoughts.
But it is not only the amount of artworks that addresses us emotionally as well as intellectually. Besides these the meetings and the exchange with the artists coming from different European regions, the support
and the fusion of various cultures and thereby the strengthening of the
European idea which inspires our ambition.
“Art without borders” – this is what we as well as our European guests want to
achieve. The expressive artworks of ambitious artists, that were chosen from
a selection committee, encourage us furthermore to build bridges to our
European neighbors and to fill up existing rifts. Art is food for our brain.
The spirit and the inspiration of the artists speak from their works, the
colour and the created shape and figure are talking to us and allow spaces for
manifold interpretations. On one hand this means international understanding through exchange of art and culture and on the other hand it is the individual enjoyment of art of the enthusiast as well as of the unexperienced and
curious observer. The “Europa Village” Neudrossenfeld as a proudly venue of
a well-known art exhibition with its own character that should interconnect
across borders and establish new friendships.
I want to greet all artists and all visitors of the exhibition in our Upper Franconian country with a warm welcome. Also I wish all participants an inspiring
enjoyment of art as well as a pleasant residence with lots of new experiences
and impressions.

Gemeinde Neudrossenfeld
mit der Ausstellung „ART Süd-Ost Europa trifft West“ kann sich unser
focus-europa–Team im Jahr des 10-jährigen Bestehens hervorragend
präsentieren: insgesamt 128 Werke von 52 Künstlern aus 14 Ländern sollen
inspirieren und auch zum Nachdenken anregen.
Aber es sind nicht die Kunstwerke allein, die uns intellektuell und emotional
ansprechen.
Es sind die Begegnungen und der Austausch mit den Künstlern aus den
verschiedenen Regionen Europas, die Förderung und Zusammenführung
der unterschiedlichen Kulturen und damit die Stärkung der Europäischen
Idee an sich, die unser Streben weiter beflügelt.
„Kunst ohne Grenzen“ – das wollen wir und das wollen unsere europäischen Gäste.
Die ausdrucksstarken Werke ambitionierter Künstler, welche von der
Jury ausgewählt wurden, spornen uns an, weiterhin Brücken zu unseren
europäischen Nachbarn zu bauen und vorhandene Gräben zuzuschütten.
Kunst ist Nahrung für unser Gehirn.
Der Geist und die Inspiration der Künstlerinnen und Künstler sprechen aus
ihren Werken, die Farbe und die erschaffene Gestalt reden mit uns und lassen
Raum für mannigfaltige Interpretationen.
Völkerverständigung durch Austausch von Kunst und Kultur ist das eine – der individuelle Kunstgenuss des Liebhabers, aber auch der des ungeübten, neugierigen Betrachters ist das andere.
Das Europadorf Neudrossenfeld ist stolzer Austragungsort einer namhaften Kunstschau mit
eigenem Charakter, die über die Grenzen hinaus verbinden und neue Freundschaften begründen
möge.
Ich heiße alle Künstlerinnen und Künstler und alle Besucher der Ausstellung in unserer oberfränkischen Heimat herzlich willkommen. Und ich wünsche allen Teilnehmern einen anregenden Kunstgenuss sowie einen angenehmen Aufenthalt mit vielen neuen Erfahrungen und

Ladies and gentlemen,
dear artists and art enthusiasts!
Art is able to express thoughts and ideas that humans often not able to put into
words. Art mediates the feelings of the artist and lets us participate as observer.
But not only like this: The language of art is diverse and allows exchange and
encounters beyond cultural barriers.
Such a “borderless” meeting is taking place this year on the Plassenburg in
Kulmbach. To build cultural bridges and create “art without borders” – this is the
maxim of the art association focus-europa. During the International Art Exhibition “Art South-East meets West Europe” this year there will gather numerous
artists coming from various European countries – marked by the motto this
year “European Unity”.
Especially in the era of globalization creativity and imagination are important
elements for the understanding of Europe. Be open for new ways of thinking,
for me that means also to be inspired by art!
Kulmbach is liberal-minded and life-affirming – I am very pleased that there will
be so many artists from all over Europe honoring Kulmbach and will supply
international flair for our city.
I wish all all visitors and participants of this International exhibition here in
Kulmbach a lot of fun and stimulating talks – let us cross the borders together!

Sehr geehrten Damen und Herren,
liebe Künstler und Kunstliebhaber!
Kunst ist in der Lage, Gedanken zum Ausdruck zu bringen, die der Mensch oft
nicht in Worte fassen kann. Sie vermittelt die Gefühlswelt des Künstlers und
lässt uns alle als Betrachter daran teilhaben. Aber nicht nur das: Die Sprache
der Kunst ist vielfältig und erlaubt den Austausch und die Begegnung über
Kulturbarrieren hinweg.

Mayor of the city of Kulmbach Eine solche „grenzenlose“ Begegnung findet in diesem Jahr auf unserer
Kulmbacher Plassenburg statt. Kulturelle Brücken bauen und „Kunst ohne
Grenzen“ zu schaffen – dieser Maxime hat sich der Kunstverein focus-europa verschrieben. Die diesjährige Internationale Kunstausstellung „ART Süd-Ost
Europa trifft West“ versammelt zahlreiche Künstler aus den unterschiedlichsten
europäischen Ländern – ganz im Zeichen des Mottos der Ausstellung „Europäische Einheit“.
Gerade im Zeitalter der Globalisierung sind Kreativität und Ideenreichtum
wichtige Bestandteile für ein europäisches Verständnis. Offen sein für neue
Denkweisen, das bedeutet für mich auch, sich von der Kunst inspirieren zu
lassen!
Kulmbach ist weltoffen und lebensbejahend – ich freue mich deshalb sehr,
dass uns so viele Künstler aus ganz Europa beehren und für internationales Flair
in unserer Stadt sorgen.
Allen Ausstellungsbesuchern und Akteuren wünsche ich viel Spaß hier in
Kulmbach und viele anregende Gespräche – lassen Sie uns gemeinsam

Dear fellow citizens, dear art lovers!
It has been two years since artists from all over Europe gathered on the
Plassenburg in Kulmbach for the 7th International Contemporary Art
(7. ICA). Again the art association focus-europa e.V., with their members and
the chairman Lutz-Benno Kracke, meets the requirements of their motto
to create, to promote and exhibit “Art without borders” this year. Neudrossenfeld will be the center of European art presenting the exhibition “ART
South-East Europe meets West” in 2015.
We will welcome more than 50 artists coming from 13 European countries in the district of Kulmbach. Suiting the already established European
festivities in Neudrossenfeld the motto of the exhibition is the “European
unity”. In the foreground stands the cultural exchange and not economic
interests. Here art is at the same time the motor as well as the bridge to the
merging of Europe. Art is the mirror of the society whose goal is not the
standardization but acceptance and appreciation of something different.
The topic “European unity” was taken up in 128 artworks in very diverse
interpretations. Without knowing political borders the works will unclose
new perspectives and inspire reflections.
“ART South-East Europe meets West”: In accordance with the close alliance this exhibition will also be presented in July in the Museo S. Agostino
in Genua and after this the artworks will be transported back to Kulmbach,
Germany, and displayed on the Plassenburg. There the exhibition reaches
its conclusion.
I am pleased to congratulate the art association focus-europa e.V. for
its 10 anniversary. Besides numerous activities, inititatives and first-class
exhibitions the association contributes to the emergence of cultural
networks and almost more important to friendships since its founding.
There will not only art lovers but also befriended artists who meet within
the scope of this years´s international art exhibition. I want to thank all of
you but especially the executive board of focus-europa e.V. for this excellent engagement.
I wish all artists as well as the visitors of the exhibition an inspiring and
diverse art experience.

Liebe Mitbürgerinnen und Mitbürger, verehrte Kunstfreunde!
Landrat
Zwei Jahre ist es nunmehr her, dass sich Künstler aus ganz Europa im
Rahmen der 7. International Contemporary Art Kunstausstellung (ICA) auf
der Kulmbacher Plassenburg zusammenfanden. Dem Motto des Vereins
focus-europa e. V. – „Kunst ohne Grenzen“ zu schaffen, zu fördern und
auszustellen – werden die Vereinsmitglieder rund um ihren Vorsitzenden
Lutz-Benno Kracke auch dieses Jahr wieder gerecht, wenn Neudrossenfeld
mit der Ausstellung „ART Süd-Ost Europa trifft West“ zum künstlerischen
Mittelpunkt Europas wird.
Mehr als 50 Künstler aus 13 europäischen Ländern dürfen wir im
Kulmbacher Land begrüßen. Passend zu den mittlerweile etablierten
Neudrossenfelder Europatagen ist die Europäische Einheit Thema der
Ausstellung. Nicht ökonomische Interessen, sondern der kulturelle
Austausch steht hier im Vordergrund. Die Kunst ist zugleich Motor und
Brücke für das Zusammenwachsen Europas. Sie ist ein Spiegel der Gesellschaft, deren Ziel nicht Vereinheitlichung, sondern Akzeptanz und Wertschätzung des Andersartigen ist. In 128 Werken wird das Thema Europäische
Einheit in verschiedensten Interpretationen aufgegriffen. Ohne politische
Grenzen zu kennen wird sie neue Sichtweisen eröffnen und zum Nachdenken
anregen.
ART Süd-Ost Europa trifft West: Dem künstlerischen Schulterschluss
gemäß wird die Ausstellung im Juli ins Museo S. Agostino nach Genua
wandern, bevor sie im September wieder zu uns zurückkehrt und auf der
Plassenburg ihren Abschluss findet.
Dem Verein focus-europa darf ich dieses Jahr zu seinem 10-jährigen
Bestehen gratulieren. Neben den zahlreichen Aktivitäten und erstklassigen
Ausstellungsinitiativen trägt der Verein seit seiner Gründung zum Entstehen von kulturellen Netzwerken und – wichtiger noch – Freundschaften
bei. So sind es also nicht nur Kunstfreunde, sondern auch befreundete
Künstler, die im Rahmen der diesjährigen Internationalen Kunstausstellung
zusammentreffen. Ihnen allen, ganz besonders aber der Vorstandschaft von
focus-europa e. V. danke ich herzlich für das großartige Engagement.
Ich wünsche den Künstlern wie den Besuchern der Ausstellung ein auf
vielfältigen Ebenen inspirierendes Kunsterlebnis!

focus-europa was founded in Neudrossenfeld
in 2005 as a society for the promotion of a regional and transnational art- and culture exchange. Stimulus was the every two-year-celebrated
Day of Europe.
Meanwhile more than 120 persons joined the
association focus-europa with about a half
consisting of artists out of the areas of visual and
performing arts.
Unsere Philosophie
focus-europa ist eine Initiative von Künstlern und
Kunstinteressierten, unterstützt von Verantwortungsträgern aus Kultur, Politik und Wirtschaft
mit dem Ziel, das Zusammenwachsen Europas
zu fördern. Durch die Kunst und mit der Kunst
sollen Netzwerke innerhalb Europas geknüpft
werden, die sowohl den Künstlern als auch der
Wirtschaft als natürlichem Partner der Kunst
dienen und welche die Kommunikation innerhalb Europas verbessern helfen.

Kunst ohne Grenzen
focus-europa wurde 2005 in Neudrossenfeld
als Gesellschaft zur Förderung des regionalen
transnationalen Kunst und Kulturaustausches
gegründet. Anlass war der alle zwei Jahre stattfindende Europatag.
Inzwischen haben sich schon über 120 Mitglieder dem Verein focus-europa angeschlossen,
darunter zur Hälfte Künstler aus den Bereichen
der bildenden und darstellenden Künste.

focus-europa setzt dabei auf das ehrenamtliche

sprachlicher oder kultureller Grenzen im vereinten Europa im Vordergrund stehen.

Interdisziplinär arbeitender Künstler. Málaga, 1959.
1979 präsentierte er seine erste Ausstellung im alten Sala Caja de
Antequera, Málaga.
Seit 1982 organisierte er seinen eigenen Grafikkunst-Workshop
„Gravura“. Mit Gravura bewerkstelligte er wichtige Tiefdruckarbeiten. Seine Werke wurden mit diversen Preisen ausgezeichnet und
sind in vielen Sammlungen vertreten.

In 1979 he showed his first solo exhibition at the old Sala Caja de

Since 1982 he managed his own printmaking workshop, Gravura. From Gravura he carried out an important diffusing work of

Geboren 1959 in Málaga. Maler und Graveur aus der Generation
der 80er stammend. Anfänglich vom deutschen Expressionismus und der Transvanguardia beeinflusst, setzte er seine künstlerische Karriere verstärkt unter metaphysischen Gesichtspunkten fort. 1990 beschäftigte er sich mit Identität und Leere und
befasste sich eingehend mit dem Wesen des Menschen und der
Natur. Derzeit vertieft er sich in Themen wie das Nirgendwo, die
Unbeständigkeit und die Selbstlosigkeit von Passanten in Städten. Hierzu nutzt er traditionelle chinesische Tinte.
Er stellte seine Werke bei zahlreichen internationalen Ausstellungen aus. Daneben ist er Preisträger diverser nationaler
Auszeichnungen. Seine Kollaboration mit nationalen und lokalen
Galerien führt er fort, genauso wie seine Arbeit an Publikationen
mit Verlegern wie Anagram und Siruela. Seine Werke sind in
nationalen öffentlichen Institutionen und in Privatsammlungen
Málagas zu finden.
Born in Malaga in 1959. Painter and engraver belonging to the
generation of the eighties. Influenced at first by German Expressionism and the Transvanguardia, he continued his artistic career
under a more metaphysical line. In 1990 he started working on
identity and emptiness, delving into the essence of human and
nature. He investigates currently about the nowhere, the impermanence and selflessness of passers-by in urban areas. He uses
traditional chinese ink.
He has exhibited his works in numerous international exhibitions. He has won awards at national level and continues his
collaboration with national and local galleries, as well as publications with publishers like Anagram and Siruela. His work is
represented in national public institutions and private collections
in Málaga.
Nelisa Baždar absolvierte im Jahr 2011 ihr Studium an der Akademie der Visuellen Künste in Sarajevo, im Fachbereich Kunstgestaltung und Lehre bei Prof. Halil Tikveša.
Fünf Jahre voluntierte sie für das internationale Winterfestival in
Sarajevo. Während dieser Zeit nahm sie in drei aufeinanderfolgenden Jahren an diversen Installationen des bekannten makedonischen Bildhauers Peter Nikolski teil. Ausstellungen des gemeinsamen Projektes wurden in der Kunstgalerie Collegium Artisticum

Im Mai 2014 kam der finnische Plastiker Villu Jaanisoo zu dem
Projekt „1.Time machine biennial bunker D-O“ hinzu. Dies fand in
Konjic, Bosnien-Herzegowina statt.
Sie nahm an Kursen der Restauration und Bestandserhaltung teil.
Sie ist Mitglied der Kunstkolonie „M.L.A.Z.“ in Počitelj, Bosnien-Herzegowina und Kulturerbe-Gesellschaft „Transversa Ondo“.
Im Mai 2012 beteiligte sie sich am Festival WEYA (World Event
Young Artists, www.worldeventyoungartists.com) teil.
Ihre Arbeiten waren Teil verschiedener Einzel- wie auch Gruppenausstellungen.
Graduate at Visual Arts of Academy in Sarajevo 2011. Department
of Teaching-Art of Graphics in class of Prof. Halil Tikveša.
For five years she has been volunteering for International Sarajevo
Winter festival.
Within the aforesaid Festival took part in the installation project
with the famous Macedonian sculptor Peter Nikoloski, with which
cooperation takes place three years in a row. Exhibitions of the
joint project were exhibited in the art gallery Collegium Artisticum

Nach dem Studium der bildenden Künste an der Hochschule
in Sarajevo studierte er Malerei an der Akademie der bildenden
Künste in Sarajevo, er schloss beide Studiengänge als bester Absolvent seines Jahrgangs ab.
Seit 2009 Mitglied des Vereins der Visuellen Künste in BosnienHerzegowina. Bisher zeigte er seine Werke auf zwei Einzelausstellungen und einige Gemeinschaftsausstellungen. Außerdem nahm
er an verschiedenen Kunstkolonien national und international teil.
Die bevorzugte Quelle seiner Inspiration nimmt er normalerweise
aus Büchern und einsamen Charakteren, welche sich von der
Welt entfremden, um diese zu erforschen und sich mit ihr zu
vereinen. An diesen Figuren orientiert er sich für seine eigenen
Kreationen und Figuren. Seine klassische Technik nutzt dunkle
Farbgebung sowie komplexe Kompositionen.
Born 21. 08. 1985. After graduating from Sarajevo High School of
Fine Arts he studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, both times being the best student of his generation.
Since 2009. he is a member of Bosnia and Herzegovina Association of Visual Artists, had two solo exhibitions, and several collective exhibitions. He participated in several art colonies in and out of
country.
His primary source of inspiration usually comes from books and
lonely characters who alienate from the world in order to explore
and unite within. To those figures he lends his own portrait a
figure. His technique is always classical with dark coloring and
complex composition.

Tea Hatadi wurde 1980 in Kroatien geboren. Im Jahr 2008
graduierte sie an der Akademie der bildenden Künste in Zagreb,
wo sie auch ihre PhD im Bereich Malerei begann. Für 2 Semester
studierte sie an der Akademie der Künste in Prag (CEEPUS-Stipendium). Sie nahm an verschiedenen Workshops und nationalen/
internationalen Festivals teil. Artist-in-residence Programme: 3
Monate in Wien (KulturKontakt) sowie 2 Monate (Kunstenaarlogies)
in Amersfoort, NL. Sie nutzt verschiedene Materialien und Medien.
Ihre Arbeiten und Performances präsentierte sie bei ca. 40 Ausstellungen in HR, NL, SR, BiH, Montenegro, PL, UK, D, AU, IT und CZ.
2013 wurde ihre Videoarbeit bei der Mediterranea „16 Young Artists
Biennial“ in Ancona (IT) ausgestellt. 2006: Mitbegründerin der
Künstlergruppe Projekt6, Mitglied der CAA und der freiberuflichen
Künstlervereinigung Kroatiens. Sie lebt und arbeitet in Zagreb.

Božica Dea Matasić erhielt ihren M.A. an der Akademie der bildenden Künste in Zagreb, mit der Spezialisierung auf Bildhauerei. Seit
1992 hat sie in über 14 Einzel- und über 50 Gruppenausstellungen
ausgestellt. Sie benutzt verschiedene hochentwickelte, moderne
Materialien und begleitende Technologien. Von 1998 bis 2003
arbeitete sie als Kuratorin an der Galerie des Studentenzentrums
in Zagreb, wo sie mehr als hundert Projekte organisierte - Ausstellungen, Multimedia Events und Aufführungen. Sie wurde unter
17 kroatischen Künstlern für die Ausstellung Zeitgenössische
kroatische Skulptur unter der Schirmherrschaft des Kultusministeriums, die in Budapest, Berlin, Pécs, Triest, Bratislava, Wien und
Ljubljana vorgestellt wurde, auserwählt. Im Jahr 2012 hatte sie
eine Einzelausstellung im Museum für moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst (MAMAC) in Nizza, Frankreich. Sie wurde als Vertreterin der kroatischen Bildhauerszene von der internationalen Jury
für die Ausstellung Dialog mit Kaiser Qin auserwählt - China EU
Skulpturen Show. Sie erhielt Preise und Auszeichnungen für ihre
Kunstwerke. Sie ist außerordentliche Professorin an der Akademie
der Künste in Osijek, wo sie seit 2006 unterrichtet.
Tea Hatadi was born in Croatia in 1980. In 2008 she graduated
from the Academy of Fine Arts, Zagreb where she started PhD in
painting the same year. She studied two semesters at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (CEEPUS grant).
She participated in several workshops and festivals in Croatia and

Božica Dea Matasić received her M.A. degree from the Academy
of Fine Arts in Zagreb, specializing in Sculpture. Since 1992 she

and accompanying technologies in an innovative, sometimes
even pioneering way. From 1998 to 2003 she worked as a curator
at the Student Center Gallery in Zagreb, where she organized
more than a hundred projects - exhibitions, multimedia events
and performances. She was selected among 17 Croatian artists
for the exhibition Contemporary Croatian Sculpture under the
auspices of the Ministry of Culture that was presented at Budapest, Berlin, Pécs, Trieste, Bratislava, Vienna and Ljubljana. In February and March 2012 she had a solo exhibition in the Museum of
Modern and Contemporary Art (MAMAC) in Nice, France. She was
chosen as a representative of the Croatian sculptural scene by the
international jury for the exhibition Dialogue with Emperor Qin China EU sculptures show. She received awards and recognitions
for her artwork. She is an Associate Professor at the Academy of
Arts in Osijek, where she teaches since 2006.

Alan Matuka wurde 1966 in Zagreb, Kroatien, geboren. Dort lebte
er bis ca. 1990. Seine Passion ist die Fotografie, seit seiner Kindheit.
Dies ist auch der Hauptgrund, dass er das Fotografiestudium in
London begann. Zu dieser Zeit arbeitete er als Fotograf. 1991/1992
studierte er am London College für Druckereiwesen, wo er sich

Seit 1995 ist er als freiberuflicher Fotograf für Werbefotografie, Stillleben und Portraits tätig. 2001 zog er wieder nach Zagreb, wo er
seine Arbeit als Werbe- und Kunstfotograf fortsetzte. In den letzten
15 Jahren erweiterte er sein Portfolio kommerzieller Arbeiten und
beschäftigte sich mit zahlreichen persönlichen Projekten.
Die meisten seiner Kunden kommen aus der Werbeindustrie, Alan
hatte daher die Möglichkeit im Team verschiedener bekannter
Designer und künstlerischer Leiter zu arbeiten.
Seine persönlichen Arbeiten hatten immer einen wichtigen Stellenwert in seinem Leben. Er entwickelte seinen Stil und seine Fähigkeiten stetig weiter. Alan präsentierte seine Werke auf 14 Einzel- und
zahlreichen Gruppenausstellungen. Er ist Mitglied der Königl. Fotografischen Gesellschaft in Großbritannien, der ULUPUH (Verband
der Kroatischen Künstler der angewandten Kunst) sowie der HZSU.
Alan Matuka was born in 1966 in Zagreb, Croatia, where he lived
until his mid-twenties. Photography was his passion since childhood, and a main reason for moving to London where he studied
and begun working as a photographer. 1992/92 he studied at London College of Printing, focusing on photography and art and craft.
Since 1995 he works as a freelance photographer focusing on
advertising, still life and portraiture. In 2001 he moves back to
Zagreb, where he works both as a fine art and advertising photographer. Over the last 15 years he worked on numerous personal
projects as well as developed diverse commercial portfolio. Most
of his clients come from advertising background and Alan had
a chance to work with some great designers and art directors,
working as a part of a team. Personal work has always been a very
important aspect of Alan‘s work, giving him a chance to develop
his own style and improve his skills. Alan Matuka has exhibited his
work in 14 solo exhibitions and some dozen group exhibitions.
He is a member of Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain,
ULUPUH (Association of Croatian artists of applied art) and HZSU.

wohnten. Einige der Fotografien zeigen Patronen-/Geschosshülsen, die eine ungewöhnliche Ornamentik aufweisen. Bitola lag
während des Krieges an der Frontlinie und war Ziel stetigen Bombardements. Goldschmiede fertigten aus gefundenen Patronenhülsen Vasen und andere Gegenstände. Diese finden sich heute
noch auf Flohmärkten und in Privathäusern. Diese Arbeit zeigt die
direkten und indirekten Konsequenzen des Krieges. Die Hülsen zeigen den Eingriff auf das tägliche Leben der Menschen.

In his work “Remains of Memory” he uses historical artifacts-studio
photographs of inhabitants of Bitola by the Manaki brothers, taken
in the period after the I. World War, while, as part of the scenery,
shell casings appear in the unusual role of ornamental objects. Due
to its geographical position, the city was on the front line and exposed to constant bombardment. Goldsmiths were making decorative vases and other utilitarian objects from shells casings. Treasures
available even today at flea markets and in private homes. This work
presents the direct and indirect consequences of war through old
photographs and objects - shells, indicating the intrusion and assimilation of the wartime situation into the daily lives of people.

Die gedanklichen Muster dieses Projekts wurden direkt umgesetzt.
Dies geschah mit sensiblen Vorgaben während des Prozesses der
Überlagerung sowie der Bezugnahme auf die Formensprache und
Ausdrucksstruktur. Faktisch wurde diese erzählend künstlerische
Überlagerung so durchgeführt, dass es sich konzeptuell nicht vom
Konzeptmodell (Fotografien von Blagoj Žežoski, Prilep) unterscheidet. Er fertigte 1929 eine Dreifachdarstellung eines Kinderportraits
auf einer Glasplatte in Originalgröße in drei Posen an – dies wurde
von Moteska mit digitaler Technik, aber unter der Vorgabe der
gleichartigen Herangehensweise realisiert. Sie fotografierte 34
Kinder aus der Klasse ihres Sohnes in drei verschiedenen Posen.
Ebenso wie im Modell, sollten die Kinder eines ihrer Lieblingsobjekte halten, in kindlicher und doch ikonografischer Weise.

The inspirational model of this project is included immediately and
spontaneously, with a lot of sensitive charge in the process of relating and superimposing of the idiom structure. Actually, this narrative artistic superimposing in the project is done in such a way that it
conceptually does not differ from its model. Namely, the concept
of the model - the photography of Blagoj Žežoski, a photographer
from Prilep, made in 1929 as a triple exposition on a glass plate
with a portrait of a child in its full size in three different poses - is
applied also in the 34 photographs made by Moteska. It is rendered
on the principle of an equal approach with three expositions in digital techniques, conceived while photographing 34 children from
the class of her son in three different poses. Same as on the model,
the children were advised to hold in their hands parts of their favorite objects, in an infantile, yet cheerful iconographic milieu.

Maler und Bildhauer benötigen nur einige Wörter, um ihre Kunst
den Betrachtern leicht verständlich zu erklären. Schwieriger wird es,
wenn es um Papierfaltkunst geht. Sieht man meine Arbeiten neben
anderen Werken, so sind die Betrachter oft überrascht. Diese Arbeiten heben sich von der Malerei und Skulpturen ab. „Etwas ganz
anderes“. Die Betrachter sind überwältigt von den präzisen geometrischen Kompositionen. Oftmals gehen die Betrachter davon
aus, dass Metall oder Leder verwendet wurden, doch verwende ich
Papier und Leinen.
Keine Scheren
Die Betrachter können nur schwer glauben, dass meine Objekte
nur aus einem Blatt Papier gefaltet wurden. Doch genauso arbeite
ich. Ich benutze keine Scheren oder Klebstoffe. Zum Beispiel
verwende ich anfangs ein Papier in der Größe 1m x 2m und falte
dieses auf eine Größe von 75x75cm. Eine Arbeit kann bis zu drei
Monate dauern, obwohl diese auf den ersten Blick - fälschlicherweise - sehr einfach aussieht. Die Faszination Materialen neu zu
formen und aus 2D-Formen 3D-Formen zu kreieren entstand
während meiner akademischen Ausbildung in Textildesign.

Painters and sculptors only need a few words to explain their art to
an audience. They are easily understood. This is more difficult for
artist like me who create folding art objects. Seeing my art exhibited
next to other work, people are often taken by surprise. It stands out
among paintings and sculptures. ‘Something completely different’.
People are struck by the precise geometrical compositions. Initially
they are fooled into taking paper and linen for metal or leather.
No scissors
People can hardly believe that my objects are folded from a single
sheet of paper. And yet this is exactly how I work. I don’t use scissors or adhesives. I may for example start with a sheet of one by
two meters and fold it back to approximately 75 x 75 centimetres.
One piece of work can take usually two to three months to finish
although they may look deceitfully simple at first sight.
This fascination started during my academic training in textile design and when I had my own business as a hat designer.

Zeljko Djurovic wurde am 12.Dezember 1956 in Danilovgrad,
Montenegro, geboren. Dort schloss er seine Schulausbildung ab.
Er graduierte an der Akademie der angewandten Künste in den
Bereichen Bildende Kunst und Malerei, wo er mit dem Masterabschluß sein Studium beendete. Mitglied der ULUS und der Ex-libris
Gesellschaft in Belgrad. Daneben ist er Mitglied der internationalen Gruppe Libellule, Frankreich. Derzeit unterrichtet er als
Assistenzprofessor für Malerei und Zeichnung an der Fakultät der
Philologie und der Künste in Kragjevac. Bisher hatte er mehr als
30 Soloausstellungen und nahm an mehr als 300 Gruppenausstellungen in Serbien und weiteren europäischen Ländern teil.
Er ist in mehr als 32 Büchern über Kunst zu finden. 2006 stellte er
im Salon Comparaison, Paris, Grand Palais aus sowie im Museum
Gruyeres im europäischen Zentrum für fantastische Kunst.
Seine Werke sind zu finden in: Nationalmuseum Belgrad, Abteilung Grafiken; Internationales Museum der fantastischen Kunst

Born in 1958 in Belgrade. Completed graduate studies at the
Academy of Fine Arts, University of Belgrade in 1984 and postgraduate studies at the same Academy in 1986. He has been
exhibited since 1982. Member of ULUS since 1985.
Director of Gallery “Beograd” in Belgrade, Serbia.
He had more than 20 solo shows and exhibited in numerous
group exhibitions in Serbia and abroad (Germany, Holland, France,
Macedonia). Was rewarded by Petar Lubarda Award – Academy of
Fine Arts, acquisition prize of the Ministry of Culture for the exhibition Perspectives XI-XII, acquisition prize of the Ministry of Culture
for the exhibition of the Independent Syndicates of Painting.
Works of Mihailo Petkovic are to be found in collections of National Museum and Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, in
public galleries and numerous private collections in Serbia and
abroad, as well as in Residency of Embassy of the Republic of
Serbia in Paris, France.
He does painting, prints and sculpture. Lives and works in
Belgrade.

Derzeit als freiberuflicher Maler tätig, wurde er 1984 geboren.
Lebt und arbeitet in Tartu. Tedresaar eignete sich sein künstlerisches Können an der Kunsthochschule Tartu und der Universität in Tartu an. Er ist schon ein bekannter Künstler, welcher
bereits bei vielen Solo- und Gruppenausstellungen beteiligt
war.
Tedresaar ist ein Maler abstrakter expressionistischer Kunstwerke. Daneben fertigt er auch großformatige Wandgemälde
in Außenbereichen an. Der Künstler Tedresaar ist von der Welt
inspiriert, welche für die meisten von uns unsichtbar ist – die
Energie, die Emotionen und die Psychologie in zwischenmenschlichen Bereichen.
Kustwerke, welche in dieser Austellung zu sehen sind, zeigen
eine Serie von Frauen “XXX” im expressionistischer Stil.

Freelance painter, born in 1984, works and lives in Tartu. Tedresaar has the artistic background from Tartu Art College and

Tedresaar is an abstract expressionist painter who also does
large scale outdoor murals. As an artist, Tedresaar is inspired by
the world that remains invisible to us – the spheres of energy,
emotions and psychology between people.

Valeria Bruno, geboren 1962 in Savona (Italien), deutscher und
italienischer Abstammung. Wohn – und Arbeitssitz in Celle
Ligure, SV. 1984 Abschluss an der Kunstakademie in Genua.
Seit 1987 Lehramt im Fachbereich Kunsterziehung am ‚O.Grassi‘ - Gymnasium in Savona. Ihre Arbeiten sind als Spuren –
Suche zu verstehen. Ihre Kompositionen sind durchwebt von
Träumen, Zeichen und Symbolen der Vergangenheit, die sich
mit Eindrücken der Gegenwart vermischen.
Die angewandte Mischtechnik ermöglicht ihrer Arbeit ein
progressives Experimentieren; bemerkenswert ist der Übergang von außergewöhnlicher Schwerelosigkeit bis hin zu
einer materiellen Dichte, die den Eindruck von Glas – oder
Keramikoberflächen hervorruft. Außerdem ist das ausgeprägte
Farbempfinden hervorzuheben.

Valeria Bruno, of Italian and German origins, was born in 1962
in Savona, Italy. She now lives and works in Celle Ligure, Italy.
She graduated in 1984 from the ‚Ligustica‘ Academy of Belle
Arti in Genoa.
Engaged, since 1984 as a teacher in high schools, she is
currently the professor of Drawing and Art History at the
Scientific Lyceum in Savona.
Valeria’s pictorial images are imbued with signs, symbols, lines
of poetry and written memoirs, which suggest dreams like
scenes and are the site of an ongoing experiment of mixed
techniques. The refined chromatic sensitivness in her works
alternate extreme lightness with material affects that sometimes recall glass surfaces and ceramics. Numerous collective and personal exhibitions both in Italy and abroad.
Hilke Kracke wurde in Niedersachsen geboren. Sie promovierte in
Heidelberg und Bologna.
Neben ihrer Arbeit als Biologin hat sie stets auch ihr Interesse an
der Psychologie und Malerei beibehalten.
In Genua schloss sie auch eine psychologische Ausbildung ab
und konzentriert sich seitdem hauptsächlich auf die Malerei, die
sie über Studien in Italien und in Deutschland an der Kunstakademie Bad Reichenhall und Kolbermoor weiter ausbaut.
Sie widmet sich der Farbe mit Unmittelbarkeit und Impulsivität, sucht nach dem Aufheben der Filter zwischen Impuls und
Leinwand, im Bestreben, Gedanken und Emotionen in spontanen
Gesten zu vereinen.
Gruppen- und Einzelausstellungen in Italien, Frankreich und
Deutschland seit 2009.
Sie lebt in Berlin und Arenzano, Italien, wo sie arbeitet und 2009
den Kunstverein Kunst&Arte gegründet hat.
Hilke Kracke was born in Lower Saxony, Germany. She was awarded a PhD from the University in Heidelberg and Bologna.

In Genoa she also completed her psychological studies and
since then she concentrates her activity on art, enriching this field

She devotes herself to colour with immediacy and impulsiveness,
in her painting she strives for the abolition of the filter between
momentum and canvas, trying to reconcile thoughts and emotions through spontaneous gestures.

Nevio Zanardi wurde in Genua geboren, wo er Cello am N.
Paganini Konservatorium studierte. und nun seit 35 Jahren
auch unterrichtet. 1977 gründete er den Verein „I Cameristi“
und ist seitdem dessen künstlerischer Leiter. Gegenwärtig ist er
der Dirigent des „Orchestra Giovani Solisti“, das im Jahr 2000
gegründet wurde und auch der künstlerische Leiter der „Accademia musicale Edward Neill“ in Genua.
Zusätzlich ist Zanardi auch Maler und Kupferstecher. Er wurde
ein Mitglied der „Associazione Incisori Liguri“. Als Maler nimmt
er oft Bezüge zur Musik, dem Hauptantrieb seiner Kunst. Er ist
ein „zyklischer“ Maler, der systematisch eine Reihe von Themen
mit einem musikalischen Auftakt gestaltet, er ist inspiriert von
Bruckner, Frescobaldi, Mahler, Mussorgskij, Paganini, Prokofiev,
Ravel, R. Strauss, etc.
Das Ergebnis ist ein dialektischer Prozess, ein virtuelles Spiel
des Nehmens und Gebens, eine Einheit von Musik und Malerei,
die sich gegenseitig in ihrem Ausdruck beflügeln.
Nevio Zanardi was born in Genoa where he studied cello at the
N. Paganini Conservatory and is teaching it for 35 years. In 1977
he founded the association “I Cameristi” and has remained the
artistic director ever since. He is currently the conductor of the
“Orchestra Giovani Solisti” founded in 2000, and the artistic
director of the “Accademia musicale Edward Neill” in Genoa.
In addition Zanardi is also a painter and engraver. He became
a member of the “Associazione Incisori Liguri”. As a painter he
refers to music, the primum movens of his art. He is a “cyclical”
painter, undertaking systematically a series of themes with a
musical beginning, in fact, he is inspired by Bruckner, Frescobaldi, Mahler, Mussorgskij, Paganini, Prokof’ev, Ravel, R. Strauss,
etc.
The result is a dialectical process, with this ideal „do ut des“, a
virtual match of giving and taking, a union of music and painting which reinforce mutual expressivity.

Antanas Obcarskas wurde 1958 geboren; er lebt und arbeitet in

Geboren 1972 in Bratislava, Slowakei.
1995 - 2001 studierte er an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste
in Bratislava (Prof. Jozef Jankovič) und 1998 an der Akademie der
Bildenden Künste in Prag (Prof. Karol Nepraš).
Er hat in den Jahren 2003 und 2012 Studienaufenthalte in Cité
Internationales des Arts in Paris absolviert. Der Künstler ist Mitglied
der Kunstvereine in der Slowakei und Deutschland. Seine Skulpturen präsentierte er in zahlreichen Ausstellungen im In- und
Ausland, in Frankreich, Italien, Österreich, Deutschland, Japan,
Serbien, Litauen, Lettland und Großbritannien. Robert Szittay
zählt zu den bedeutenden Persönlichkeiten der slowakischen
Skulptur-Szene. In seiner Generation gehört er zu den einzigartigen Erscheinungen nicht nur durch seine reine Neigung zu der
figurativen Bildhauerei, sondern auch durch die Verwendung von
formbaren Materialien wie Gips, Epoxid, Fiberglas und Bronze.
Sein Autorenprogramm konzentriert sich auf figurale Plastik vom
Porträt und Autoporträt, über expressive und anatomische Studien
des menschlichen Körpers bis zu den komplizierten multifiguralen
Kompositionen.
Geboren in Neutitschin (N. Jicin) in Mähren. Ausgebildet als
staatlich geprüfter Fernmeldetechniker. Darüber hinaus studierte er Druckgrafik an der Staatlichen Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart, wo er auch in der Atelier-Werkstatt des
Künstlerhauses Stuttgart arbeitete. Bei seinem Vordringen in
den dreidimensionalen Bereich entstanden eindrucksvolle Plastiken und Assemblagen, während er noch Malerei und Grafik
am Institut für Ausbildung in bildender Kunst und Kunsttherapie
IBKK in Bochum studierte. Im Jahre 1997 erhielt er von der
Stadt Isny im Allgäu eine Medaille für Ausstellung ,,Freude am
Gestalten“. 2003 machte er sich mit seinem Glas-Art-Atelier
selbständig. Seit dem ist er als freier Künstler tätig. Er ist Mitglied im Kunstverein Hochfranken und focus-europa. Ab 1982
zahlreiche Einzel und Gruppen Ausstellungen im In- und Ausland. Darunter in Waiblingen, Memmingen, Lindenberg, Prag,
Ostrau, Isny im Allgäu und Wangen im Allgäu, Hof, Wunsiedel,
Selb, Marktredwitz, Schirnding u.a. Er ist Dozent an der VHS
Selb, lebt und arbeitet in Asch (Tschechien).

United Kingdom. Robert Szittay ranks among distinct figures of
the Slovak sculpture scene. His exclusive concern with the human
figure makes him an extraordinary representative of his generation. He uses plaster, epoxide, fibreglass and also bronze. His
art focuses on figural representations in sculpture, ranging from
portrait to self-portrait, through expressive and anatomical studies
of the human body to elaborate groups of figures.

that he studied graphic reproduction at the nat. academy of
fine arts in Stuttgart where he worked at the artist‘s workshop
of the House of Artists. With his approaches for the third
dimension impressive plastics and assemblages were formed
while he did a further education in graphics/painting at the institute for fine arts and art therapy IBKK in Bochum. In 1997 he
received a medal from the city of Isny, Allgäu, for his exhibition
“Freude am Gestalten”. 2003 he became a freelancer with his
glas-art-atelier and is working as an independent artist. He is a
member of the art association Hochfranken and focus-europa.

Their spiritual life, strains and tensions, entanglements, reactions
to other individuals, but also influences of their environment,
interpersonal. The mirror of experienced moments in the physiognomy of the individual, the influence from view of life and
attitude to life - not only the immediate surroundings but also the
condition of the sender - are, for me, an everlasting fascination.

Geboren im wunderschönen München im April 1963. Ausbildung in Gestaltung, Modegrafik und Malerei.
Mein Einstieg in das künstlerische Schaffen lief über die Modegrafik. In dieser Zeit habe ich meine Leidenschaft für das
Darstellen von Menschen entwickelt. Heute faszinieren mich
vor allem
Portrait und Akt, sowohl in der Malerei als auch als Skulptur.
Dabei fühle ich mich in die dargestellten Menschen ein und
gebe ihnen einen ganz bestimmten Ausdruck, eine Stimmung,
die
entweder zu einer bestimmten Situation oder zu der Person
allgemein gehört. Ich arbeite mit Öl, Acryl, Ton.
Darüber hinaus beschäftige ich mich intensiv mit vielfältigen
Aspekten des menschlichen Daseins, insbesondere Psychologie, Wahrnehmung und Gehirnforschung.

I was born in the wonderful city of Munich in April 1963. Studies in design, fashion design and fine arts.
I started my career as an artist studying fashion design. In these
early days I developed a passion to portrait people. I am still
fascinated by painting and sculpting portrait and nude today.
I try to empathize with my models, sense their mood and
emotional state to bring it to the surface in the portrait. My
aim is to capture a specific moment in their life, a trait of their
character or a typical gesture in my artwork. My paintings are
oil on canvas or wood, acrylic on canvas. Sculptures are done
in clay or bronze.
Beyond the aesthetic view on life I have always been very
much interested in all aspects of human existence – mainly
from a view point of Psychology, Perception and Neurology.

Artwork and way of working are both an expression of playfulness, which is the seed that allows pictures and meaning to
sprout. Various techniques of painting, printing and drawing

…meditativ erfühlte Ideen von Natur, im Grenzbereich von
Gegenständlichem und Abstraktion. Meine Intention ist das
Eintauchen in die Materie, die Suche nach der Seele hinter der
bloßen Oberfläche. Mich beschäftigen abstrakte Begriffe wie
Vergänglichkeit und Zeit, die Grundstimmungen unseres Seins,
Empfindungen und Gefühle. Inspirationsquellen für mich sind
die Natur, eigene Wahrnehmungen und Erlebnisse, Literatur
und Musik. Meine Bildsprache ist atmosphärisch sehr stark
mit Farbe und Licht verbunden. Die Umsetzung gestalte ich
sowohl in gegenständlicher als auch in abstrakter Malerei.

…meditative felt ideas about nature – in the borderland of
objective and abstraction. My intention is the immersion into
the matter, the search for the soul behind the mere surface.
I am occupied with abstract notions like transience and time,
the basic moods of our being. Nature, own perceptions and
experiences, literature and music are the sources of inspiration
for me.
Robin wurde 1946 in Amsterdam geboren. Seine berufliche
Karriere als Malermeister und Restaurationsfachmann führte ihn
in viele Länder dieser Welt. Er restaurierte u.a. Kirchen, Synagogen
und Paläste – die längste Zeit verbrachte er mit seiner Familie in
Südamerika auf Curaçao (Antillen). Dort hatte er auch seine ersten
Ausstellungen als Künstler, der die Ansicht vertritt, dass Kunst von
Können kommt und nicht mehr länger von Provokationen und
Skandalen. So hat er seine künstlerische Entwicklung ganz der
klassischen, realistischen Malkunst verschrieben. Er lebt jetzt mit
seiner 2. Frau in der Oberpfalz/Bayern und leitet seit 2010 eine
Malschule in Marktredwitz, die mehr und mehr Anerkennung und
Zulauf findet.

Robin was born in 1946 in Amsterdam. His professional career as
painter/conservator led him to different countries worldwide. He
restored e.g. churches, synagogues and palaces and spent most
of the time with his family in South America on Curaçao (Antilles). There he had his first exhibitions as an artist, who holds the
view that art comes from skills and no longer from provocations
and scandals. He has committed his artistic development to the
classical, realistic art of painting. He lives with his second wife in the
Oberpfalz/Bavaria and manages an art school in Marktredwitz since
2010, that gains more and more recognition and interest.

Auf der Suche von Stimmungen im Raum und in der Zeit
bearbeite ich – von der Natur ausgehend – in abstrahierender Weise verschiedene Themen. In den letzten drei Jahren
beschäftigte ich mich damit, wie kann ich Musik in Farben und
Formen ausdrücken.
In meinen farbintensiven Acrylbildern, und auch in meinen Lithographien, können die Betrachter Rhythmus, Schwingungen
oder die komplexe Vielschichtigkeit und tiefe Emotionalität der
Musik durch das Medium der Malerei erahnen und erspüren.
Als bildende Künstlerin arbeite ich vorrangig in den Bereichen
Malerei, Lithografie und geklöppelte Kunst.
Studium an der Faber-Castell-Akademie, Mitglied im Bund Fränkischer Künstler und Focus Europa. Zahlreiche Ausstellungen in
Deutschland und der Tschechischen Republik.
With nature as a guiding principle, I am searching for different
moods in space and time to be abstractly reflected in my work.
For the last three years I have been discovering ways to express
music in colours and shapes.
In my vividly colourful acrylic paintings or lithographs, the
beholder will experience the sensation of rhythm and vibration
or the complex, multi-layered or deeply emotional features of
music.
Working in fine arts, I am primarily focused on painting, lithography and lace art.

Nach der Ausbildung in verschiedenen Keramik-Werkstätten
hat sich Angela Weigls Arbeitsweise anfangs auf Steingut und
Steinzeug konzentriert. 2001 kam sie erstmals mit Raku, einer
traditionellen japanischen Brenntechnik, in Kontakt, die immer
mehr in den Mittelpunkt ihrer Arbeiten rückte. Ton, Rauch, Glasuren und Oxide, verbunden mit den verschiedensten Materialien wie Glas, Holz, Metall, Draht usw. sind voller Emotionen
und charakterisieren ihre Objekte..

After training in various ceramic workshops Angela Weigl has
initially focused on working as earthenware and stoneware. In
2001, she first came in contact to Raku, a traditional Japanese
firing technique, which more and more became the focus of
their work. Clay, smoke, glazes and oxides, combined with
different materials such as glass, wood, metal, wire, etc. are full
of emotions and characterizes her objects.

Italien. Lehrauftrag für Kunsterziehung am Caspar-Vischer-Gymnasium Kulmbach. Lebt und arbeitet als Maler, Zeichner und Grafiker in
Presseck. Regelmäßige Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen im In- und
Ausland. Vertreten u.a. auch in der Bayerischen Staatsgemäldesammlung München. Zahlreiche öffentliche und private Verkäufe.
Vom Realen zum Übersetzten
Günther Wolfrum lädt mit seinem Werk ein zu einer künstlerischen
Entdeckungsreise, zum Erkunden des Motivs. Gewohntes und Vertrautes neu zu sehen, sich mit unbekannten Blickwinkeln zu nähern
und seinen Blick zu öffnen.

so der gedankliche Hintergrund Günther Wolfrums.
Günther Wolfrum, born 1948 in Naila/Upper Franconia, he studied at
the technical college for design, Pforzheim, at the school for applied
arts, Basel, and at the academy of fine arts in Nuremberg. Master
student. Study trips to France and Italy. Teaching assignment for art
education at the Casper-Vischer-high school in Kulmbach. Lives and
works as painter, illustrator and graphic designer in Presseck. Regularly solo and group exhibitions in Germany and abroad. His works
are presented in the Bavarian State Painting collections (Staatsgemäldesammlung) in Munich. Numerous public and private sales.
From reality to translation: Günther Wolfrum invites with his work to
an artistic expedition, to the discovery of the motif, to see the used
and the familiar anew, to approach to the nearer and to his view
from an unknown angle of sight. “Woven to the underground fortified losing itself surfacing finding itself as colour, form to the whole
unity” such is theoretical background of Günther Wolfrum.

Seine Arbeiten sind eine Art Lebensgeschichte von Stationen, Situationen und Frustrationen. Sie sind Gedanken über das Dasein
– vom Einzelnen bis hin zur Gesamtheit – und manifestieren sich
zu Traumbildern, die dann aus seiner schwarzhumorigen und
satirischen Sichtweise heraus oft zu Albtraumbildern werden.
Er sieht sich nicht als Maler oder Grafiker, Zeichner oder Texter,
sondern ist Autodidakt in verschiedenen Disziplinen, die er meist
in einem Werk verknüpft und kombiniert.
Deshalb bezeichnet er sich selber als BILDERMACHER
Seine erste künstlerische Phase war in den 70er Jahren. Danach
folgte eine 20jährige Schaffenspause, bedingt durch Familie und
Broterwerb. Seit der Jahrtausendwende widmet er sich wieder
der Kunst. Er sagt von sich selbst: „Ich konnte meine alte Liebe
einfach nicht aufgeben. Es musste so sein.“
Mitglied bei focus-europa e.V. und beim Kunstverein Hof. Ausstellungen u.a. in Arenzano/Ligurien, Krakau, Vilnius, Mende/
Frankreich, Hof, Münchberg, Giechburg/Bamberg, Kulmbach,
Schirnding, Coburg, Erlangen, Emsdetten, Neu-Isenburg.
His works are a kind of life story with stopovers, situations and
frustrations. They symbolize thoughts of human existence – reaching form individual to universal – and become dream images
that turn to nightmare visions out of a perspective of black
humor and satire.
He does not claim himself to be a painter or graphic artist, but is
an autodidact in various disciplines, which are mostly linked and
combined in his works.
Therefore, he labels himself a “PICTURE MAKER”.
His first artistic period was in the 1970s. After that, a period of 20
years followed which paused his creative activity due to family
and living. Since the turn of the millennium he again dedicated
himself to art. He says about himself: “I just could not give up my
old love. It had to be like that.”
He is a member of focus-europa e.V. and at the Kunstverein Hof.
Exhibitions: i.a. Arenzano/Liguria, Krakow, Vilnius, Mende/France,
Hof, Münchberg, Giechburg/Bamberg, Kulmbach, Schirnding,
Coburg, Erlangen, Emsdetten, Neu-Isenburg.
