Der Außenhandel Bayerns 2004
Bavaria’s Foreign Trade 2004
Die bayerische Exportwirtschaft stellte 2004 zum
elften Mal hintereinander einen Ausfuhrrekord
auf. Die bayerischen Ausfuhren nahmen 2004 gegenüber dem Vorjahr um 11,1% auf 118,0 Mrd. EUR
zu. Gleichzeitig erreichte auch die Exportquote der
bayerischen Industrie mit 44,9% einen neuen
Höchstwert — fünfeinhalb Prozentpunkte über der
bundesweiten Quote. Der Ausfuhrüberschuss
stieg im letzten Jahr um 4,3 Mrd. EUR auf den neuen
Höchststand von 22,9 Mrd. EUR. Diese Zahlen
belegen eindrucksvoll, dass die bayerische Produktpalette international gefragt und unsere Wirtschaft im globalen Wettbewerb gut aufgestellt ist.
The Bavarian economy achieved a new export record
in 2004 for the eleventh consecutive time. In 2004
the total exports of Bavarian goods increased by 11.1 %
compared to the previous year amounting to EUR
118 billion. At the same time the export quota of the
Bavarian industry went up to a new record value
of 44.9%, which is 5.5% above the federal quota. In
the past year the export surplus increased by EUR
4.3 billion to the new record level of EUR 22.9 billion.
These figures are impressive evidence of the international demand for the Bavarian product portfolio and
for the advantageous position of our economy in
terms of global competition.

THE MOST IMPORTANT MARKETS
REMAIN THE USA AND THE EU
Weltweit wichtigstes Abnehmerland für bayerische
Produkte waren 2004 erneut die USA mit einem
Anteil am Gesamtexport von 12,6%. Die Ausfuhren
dorthin nahmen — wohl hauptsächlich aufgrund
der Dollarschwäche — jedoch „nur“ um 5,8% auf 14,9
Mrd. EUR zu.
In 2004 the most important market for Bavarian products worldwide was once again the USA with a
12.6% share of total exports. However, exports to America increased by „only“ 5.8% to EUR 14.9 billion,
which was probably mainly a result of the weak dollar.
Neben den Mitgliedstaaten der Europäischen Union
In the past year there was a considerably larger increase in Bavarian exports to the EU partner countries,
including the new EU member states in Central
and Eastern Europe, namely by 9.6% to EUR 70.5 billion. This means that 59.7% of Bavarian exports
now go to the 25 EU partners. Once again the most important markets worldwide after the USA were the
EU countries Italy (+ 8.9%) and Great Britain (+7.5%),
followed by France (+ 8.4%) and Austria (+13.2%).
Aside from the EU member states, Russia and the CIS
as well as the reformed countries of Southeast Europe (+ 26% in total) and the Arab countries in North

Unter den Exporten dominierten auch 2004 Fahrzeuge, Maschinen und elektrotechnische Erzeugnisse
mit einem Anteil von insgesamt fast zwei Drittel
(64,8%). Auf Rang eins standen erneut die Fahrzeuge
(36,1 Mrd. EUR, +7,3 %), Rang zwei belegten die
Maschinen (21,2 Mrd. EUR, +21,3%) gefolgt von den
elektrotechnischen Erzeugnisse (13,4 Mrd. EUR,
+14,8 %).
Ein zweistelliger Anstieg der ausländischen Auftragseingänge in der bayerischen Industrie im letzten
Quartal 2004 sowie ein weiterhin stabiles Wachstum
der Weltwirtschaft im ersten Quartal des Jahres
2005 deuten darauf hin, dass sich die positive bayerische Exportentwicklung auch im Jahre 2005 fortsetzen wird.

Reaching a total share of almost two-thirds (64.8%),
motor vehicles, machines and electro-technical
products were once again the most important groups
of goods the Bavarian economy exported to foreign
countries in 2004. Motor vehicles were again in
first place (EUR 36.1 billion, +7.3%), machines in second position (EUR 21.2 billion, + 21.3%), followed by electro-technical products (EUR 13.4 billion,
+14.8%).
A double digit increase in foreign orders received by
the Bavarian industry in the final quarter of 2004
as well as a stable growth in the world economy in the
first quarter of 2005 indicate that the positive developments in the Bavarian export economy will continue again in 2005.

Erheblich stärker, nämlich um 9,6% auf 70,5 Mrd.
EUR stiegen im vergangenen Jahr die bayerischen Exporte in die EU-Partnerstaaten einschließlich der neu beigetretenen Länder Mittel- und
Osteuropas. Damit fließen mittlerweile 59,7% der
bayerischen Ausfuhren in die EU-25. Unter den
weltweit wichtigsten Abnehmerländern rangieren erneut die EU-Partner Italien (+ 8,9%) und Großbritannien (+ 7,5%) vor Frankreich (+ 8,4%) und Österreich (+13,2%).

Africa and the Near and Middle East (+ 20.6 %) are
the strongest growing export markets for the
Bavarian economy. Trade with nations in the Asia-Pacific Economic Region has also been above average.
Exports to these countries increased by 11.5% to EUR
15.3 billion. Exports to Japan picked up speed and
rose by 13.5% to EUR 2.7 billion. With an increase of
6.1% to EUR 4.2 billion, business with China, however, did not reach the double digit expansion rates
of the previous years.

zählen ferner Russland und die GUS sowie die Reformstaaten Südosteuropas (zusammen +26%)
sowie die arabischen Länder in Nordafrika bzw. Nahund Mittelost (+20,6%) zu den am stärksten
wachsenden Absatzmärkten für die bayerische Wirtschaft. Überdurchschnittlich entwickelt hat sich
auch der Handel mit den Ländern des asiatisch-pazifischen Wirtschaftsraumes. Die Exporte dorthin
stiegen um 11,5% auf 15,3 Mrd. EUR. Der Absatz nach
Japan gewann deutlich an Fahrt und nahm um
13,5% auf 2,7 Mrd. EUR zu. Das China-Geschäft blieb
dagegen mit einem Plus von 6,1% auf 4,2 Mrd.
EUR hinter den zweistelligen Expansionsraten der
Vorjahre zurück.

Der Freistaat Bayern hält zur Förderung
