Approx. 8,100 employees embody a new generation of
logistics. The Rail Cargo Group combines competence with
passion and develops customised rail logistics solutions
all over Europe. More than 110 million tons of freight are
transported between the North Sea, the Mediterranean
and the Black Sea in an eco-friendly, safe and reliable way.

Umweltfreundliche Bahn
Wer unsere Umwelt schützen will,
setzt mit dem System Bahn auf das
sauberste Transportmittel.
In Österreich trägt die Rail Cargo Group wesentlich zum
modalen Marktanteil der Bahn von über 30 % bei.
Mit jedem Waggon wird die Umwelt geschont. Denn der Güterverkehr
auf der Schiene verursacht der Umwelt 18-mal weniger CO2 – im
Unterschied zum Straßengüterverkehr. Aber nicht nur in Österreich ist
die Rail Cargo Group grün. Bereits 75 % unseres gesamten Transportaufkommens wird im grenzüberschreitenden Verkehr abgewickelt.
Eco-friendly railway
Those who intend to save our environment rely on the railway as the
cleanest means of transportation. In Austria, the Rail Cargo Group
contributes significantly to the railway’s modal market share of over
30 %. Every railroad car benefits the environment, because rail freight
transport burdens the environment with 18-times less CO2 than road
freight transport. 75 % of our entire transport volume is already handled in cross-border.
