Trauringe aus Titan - Faszinierend anders
Das Material
Reines Titan kommt in der Erde kaum vor. Es wird
aus den Mineralien Ilmenit oder Rutil gewonnen,
wobei der Herstellungsprozess so kompliziert ist,
dass Titan zehn Mal so teuer ist wie Stahl. Das
Hightech-Material spielt eine wichtige Rolle in der
Raumfahrt, im Flugzeugbau und Motorrennsport.
Eigenschaften
Weiß glänzend, leicht, dehnbar, korrosions- und
temperaturbeständig, ist es hervorragend für
anspruchsvolles Schmuckdesign geeignet.
Schmuckstücke aus Titan sind gleichzeitig leicht,
robust und elegant. Sie sind sehr angenehm zu
tragen, da sie schnell die Wärme der Haut annehmen. Außerdem sind sie absolut nickelfrei. Dadurch
eignen sie sich besonders gut für Allergiker.
Im Farbton ist das Metall etwas dunkler als Platin
und kann effektvoll mit einer Reihe weiterer edler
Metalle wie Gold, Silber oder Palladium kombiniert

werden. Die Oberfläche des Materials kann anodisiert
und PVD-beschichtet werden.
