Wössner legt großen Wert auf hochwertige Furnierhölzer, die so verlegt werden,
dass ein natürliches Maserungsbild
entsteht. Das sieht man besonders bei
Tischplatten und Möbelfronten. Kompetente Spezialisten beweisen bei Auswahl,
Zusammenstellung und Verarbeitung
langjährige Erfahrung und handwerkliches
Feingefühl. Alle Hölzer stammen aus
Betrieben, die nachweisbar verantwortungsvoll Waldwirtschaft betreiben. Furnierverarbeitung ist eine bewährte Form,
Ressourcen schonend zu wirtschaften.
Beim Bau eines hochwertigen Möbels werden fast immer furniertes Material und
Massivholz kombiniert, je nachdem, welche Funktion am besten erfüllt wird.
Stühle werden massiv verarbeitet, Tischplatten werden furniert. Als Oberflächenschutz verwenden wir robuste Lacke, die
sich anfühlen wie geölt. Das Holz wirkt in
Optik und Gefühl natürlich samtig, bei unproblematischen Pflegeeigenschaften für
den Alltag. Die Farbtöne der Furniere sind
bei allen empfohlenen Modellkombinationen gleich.

use of high-quality veneer woods assembled so as to preserve the continuity of the
natural wood grain. You can see this in particular in our table plates and furniture
fronts. Competent specialists rely upon
their many years of experience and highly
developed aesthetic sense when selecting,
combining, and processing these beautiful
wood veneers. All of these woods are derived from operations certified to employ
sustainable cultivation and harvesting
techniques. This method of using veneers
is a proven means of conserving resources.

High-quality furniture almost always consists of combinations of veneers and solid
wood. In any individual case, the choice
depends upon which material best fulfils
the required function. Chairs are made of
solid wood, while table plates are covered
with veneers. To protect delicate surfaces,
we apply rugged varnishes with a pleasant,
oily feel. The wood thus retains its natural
grainy look and satiny feel – but acquires
extra protection against daily wear and
tear and is easier to care for. The available
colours are the same for all recommended
combinations of models.

Akzente setzen mit Lack / Paints/varnishes + special surfaces
Mit den glatten Oberflächen von Lacken mit intensiven Farben lassen sich im Zusammenspiel mit
Echtholzoberflächen wunderbare Akzente setzen.
Dadurch wird das natürliche Farbspiel von Holz betont. Dabei bieten sich sowohl Hell-Dunkel-Kontraste an als auch Kombinationen aus dunklem
Nussbaum mit Lack graphit. Für verschiedene
Tischauszüge bietet Wössner Tischplattenverlän-
gerungen in Stone Veneer Black Line®. Das Material ist echtes Steinfurnier aus spaltbarem
Schiefergestein. Stone Veneer ist hitze- und
kratzbeständig und deutlich resistenter als eine
holzfurnierte Fläche, sollte jedoch trotzdem
pfleglich behandelt werden.
When combining smooth surfaces painted in
intense colours and natural wood surfaces, it's
possible to achieve striking accents and to emphasize the natural interplay of colours of the
wood. In doing this, one can combine contrasting
light and dark pieces, or combine dark Walnut
with graphite lacquer. Wössner carries table plate
extensions in Stone Veneer Black Line® for various
different table extensions.
Geölte Holzoberflächen wirken besonders
natürlich und sind haptisch ein Genuss. Die Pflege
geht dagegen leicht von der Hand, wenn man
einige Angaben beachtet:
Oiled wood surfaces have an especially natural
appearance and are a pleasure to touch. There are
just a few simple tips one should note to keep
them looking fabulous for years to come:
 Losen Schmutz mit dem Staubtuch entfernen
 Verschüttetes sofort abwischen, am besten mit einem
nebelfeuchten Tuch. Etwas Neutralseife hilft. Sofort
trocken wischen.
 Staunässe unbedingt vermeiden
 Keine scheuernden oder scharfen Putzmittel
 Mit dem passenden Pflegeset Proterra (Hartöl) sollten die natürlichen Holzoberflächen regelmäßig nachbehandelt werden (erstmalig nach 3 Monaten). Das
Pflegeset gibt es im Möbelhandel oder direkt bei uns.
 Remove loose soiling with a dust cloth
 Wipe up spills as soon as possible - preferably using a
moistened cloth. A little neutral soap can be useful.
Wipe dry immediately.
 Pools of moisture should never be allowed to form
 Never use abrasive or harsh cleaning agents
 It is advisable that one use a suitable Proterra hard oil
care set to regularly re-treat natural wood surfaces
(the first time 3 months after your purchase). This care
set is commercially available - and from us, too.

Naturschönheiten mit lebendigem Charakter
Massivholz-Möbel sind von Natur aus
charmant! Die natürlichen Farbschattierungen des Holzes und die Vielfalt der
Strukturen machen den besonderen Reiz
aus. So wird jedes Möbel zum individuellen Schmuckstück. Die Hölzer werden
sorgfältig ausgewählt, wobei auf den
individuellen Charakter mit lebhafter
Holzmaserung und natürlicher Farbschattierung besonderer Wert gelegt wird.
Typisch für die Rotkernbuche sind die
interessanten Maserungen des Kernholzes.
Bei der Wildeiche betonen die Aststrukturen den massiven Charakter. Dunkler Nuss-
baum wirkt geheimnisvoll und bringt
helle Applikationen gut zur Geltung. Die
Eigenschaften von Massivholz als lebendigem Werkstoff verlangen besondere
Kenntnisse bei der Herstellung und bei der
täglichen Nutzung.

Verarbeitung:
Es werden alle Maßnahmen gegen Schwinden und Quellen des
Holzes bei der Verarbeitung berücksichtigt.

Eigenschaften:
Massivholz ist ein lebender Rohstoff und reagiert daher auf Luftfeuchtigkeit und Umgebungstemperatur wie ein Mensch mit
Frieren und Schwitzen. Farb- und Strukturveränderungen, kleine
Risse sowie Verzug können die Folge sein. Besonders bei dem
Holz Wildeiche sind, wie der Name schon sagt, kleine und größere Äste zu sehen, die je nach Temperaturschwankung naturbedingt Risse aufweisen können. Dies alles unterstreicht die
Natürlichkeit und den Charakter von Massivholzmöbel und ist
kein Grund zur Reklamation.
Trockenes Holz kann Luftfeuchtigkeit aufnehmen, wodurch sich
die Zellwände vergrößern und sich die Form des Holzes ändert.
Kann die Luftfeuchtigkeit nur teilweise eindringen, verzieht sich
das Holzstück.
Schwinden:
Feuchtes Holz gibt bei trockener Umgebung Feuchtigkeit ab, wodurch die Zellwände dünner werden. Da sich dadurch die Maße
ändern, nennt man diese Verkleinerung Schwinden.
Verzug:
Durch das Quellen und Schwinden kann es zum Verzug der
Massivhölzer kommen.

Leimholz:
Wössner verwendet nur geleimte Massivholzplatten mit Massivholzlamellen aus einem durchgehenden Stück. Die Massivholzlamellen werden stumpf miteinander verleimt. Die
einzelnen Lamellen zeigen natürliche Farbunterschiede.
Farbe/Struktur:
Kein Baum gleicht dem anderen, denn Klima, Standort und Jahreszeiten prägen den Wuchs. Individuellen Ausdruck erhält das
Holz durch Jahresringe, Splintholz und Maserungen. Sie machen
aus jedem Möbelstück ein Unikat.
Empfehlung:
Das optimale Raumklima liegt bei 45 - 55% Luftfeuchtigkeit und
22°C Raumtemperatur. Vermeiden Sie starke Sonneneinstrahlung, direkte Heizungswärme und zu trockene Raumluft.

Rotkernbuche massiv
Im Gegensatz zur geölten Oberfläche bietet die Lackierung u. a.
einen erhöhten Kratz- und Fleckenschutz. Deshalb lackiert Wössner
mit speziellem Mattlack, der optisch und haptisch wie geölt
wirkt, jedoch mit besseren Gebrauchseigenschaften speziell für den
Essplatz.
Vermeiden Sie stehende Nässe (z.B. durch undichte Blumentöpfe
oder Vasen) sowie hohe Temperaturen (z.B. durch Kochgeschirr
oder Kerzenwachs).
Bei Tischen mit Auszugsplatten oder Einlegeplatten können
Farb- und Strukturunterschiede von Holzeinlegeplatte zu Holztischplatte auftreten, ebenso geringe Höhenunterschiede. Heiße
Töpfe nicht direkt auf die Tischoberfläche abstellen.
Pflege der Oberflächen
Trockenreinigung:
Die normale Trockenreinigung erfolgt mit einem weichen
Staubtuch.
Feuchtreinigung:
Geeignet sind z.B. Ledertücher (keine Microfasertücher); Tuch
mit Wasser anfeuchten, auswringen und nebelfeucht reinigen.
Reinigungsmittel:
Bitte beachten Sie bei den Reinigungsmitteln die Herstellerangaben zur Konzentration des Putzmittels. Scharfe Haushaltsreiniger oder scheuernde Substanzen sind ungeeignet. Das
Naturprodukt Holz nie über längere Zeit feucht oder gar nass
belassen, da es Wasser aufnehmen und dabei die Form verändern kann (Quellung). Deshalb stets nur feucht (d.h. mit ausgewrungenen Tüchern) wischen und pflegen. Test auf Verträglichkeit an einer unauffälligen Stelle des Möbels vornehmen.

Vivacious, naturally beautiful furniture
Solid wood furniture is naturally charming! The natural colour shades of the
wood and the variety of textures contribute to its special appeal. Every item of
furniture becomes an individual gem to be
treasured and admired. Experts carefully
select the woods with an eye to their in-
dividual character, including a pronounced
wood grain and a natural interplay of colours. In the case of red core beech,
the fascinating grain of the centre of the
wood is especially eye-catching. In the
case of Wild oak, it's the swirls and loops
that attract our attention. Dark walnut
exudes a certain mystery, and helps to
contrast lighter applications. The characteristics of solid wood – which is a living
material – demand special know-how during its processing and in its daily use.

Processing:
All measures to prevent shrinking and swelling of the wood are taken
during processing.
Swelling:
Properties:
Solid wood is a living material and thus reacts to air humidity
and ambient temperature like a person, by stiffening and sweating. Alterations in colour and texture as well as small cracks and
warping may result. As the name implies, especially in the case
of wild oak, knots of various sizes are to be expected, and these
knots can form cracks as the result of temperature variations.
All of these characteristics emphasise the natural character of
solid wood furniture and are no reason for concern or complaint.
Dry wood can absorb moisture. In doing so, the cell walls expand
and the wood warps. If the air humidity can only partially penetrate into the wood, the wood can change shape.
Shrinking:
Damp wood will dry out in a dry environment. In doing so, the
cell walls shrink in size. The dimensions of the wood are then
reduced.
Warping:
Solid woods can swell and shrink, resulting in warping.

Plywood:
Wössner uses only glued solid wood sheets consisting of continuous solid wood plies. The solid wood plies are butted up together when gluing. The individual plies display natural
variations in colour.
Colour/texture:
No one tree is identical to another. That's because the climate,
the location, and the season all influence tree growth. Woods
display individual characteristics in the form of annual rings,
sapwood, and grain. They make each stick of furniture unique.
Recommendation:
The optimal room conditions for furniture are a relative air humidity of 45 - 55% and a room temperature of 22 °C. Avoid
strong sunshine, direct heating from radiators, and overly dry
room air.

In contrast to oiled surfaces, varnished surfaces display extra
protection against scratches and staining. For this reason, Wössner
uses a special matte varnish with the look and feel of oil, but with
better characteristics especially for the dining area.
Avoid the pooling of water (e.g., due to leaking flower pots or
vases) as well as high temperatures (e.g., due to cooking utensils
or dripping candles).
In the case of tables with extension plates or insertion plates,
the wooden plates may vary in colour and/or texture from plate
to plate. Likewise, slight differences in height are possible. Do
not place hot pots directly onto the tabletop.
Caring for surfaces
Dry wiping:
Surfaces should normally be cleaned by wiping them with a
soft, dry cloth.
Damp wiping:
You can use, e.g., leather sponges (no micro-fibre cloths). Just
dampen the cloth with water, wring it out, and wipe.
Cleaning agents:
Please follow the instructions of the cleaning agent manufacturer
with regards to the concentration. Harsh household cleaners or
abrasive agents are unsuitable. Wood is a natural product and
should never be left in a damp or especially in a wet condition
for very long insofar as it will otherwise absorb the water and
warp and/or swell. For this reason, use only damp (i.e., wrungout) cloths when cleaning and caring for your furniture. We
recommend that you test the suitability of the agents on an
inconspicuous place on the furniture.
