Volume IV Issue II Spring/Summer 2012 ILI Parent/Guardian Association We would like to invite every Independent Living, Inc. parent, guardian and immediate family member to participate in the Independent Living, Inc. Parent Guardian Association (ILIPGA). NEW! The purpose of the PGA is to advocate for clients of ILI, assist with raising funds to support client activities and needs, and a forum for support of parents/guardians of those with developmental disabilities. Suzette Jackson, one of our parents is leading the group and she has written a personal message inviting all of ILI’s parents and guardians to be a part of this special group. Dear Parents: I am Suzette Jackson and I am a mother of a special needs adult. I am a passionate person when it comes to the disabled/special needs children and adults. I recently saw my home town give an award to a local disabled man for being the Person of the Year. I felt so good for that man. He is what we as adults need to be. We need to be caring and helpful to all. I want to see our new Parent Group grow and be able to help all our clients. Please become involved with me and help show your support..
