During my regular walks around the city, I constantly notice another shop or two that is worthwhile being presented in guided. This time, I found the 8th district especially interesting. There is a lot happening in and around the Josefstädter Strasse. Scandinavian fashion has finally found its way to Vienna too, for instance at mala in the Josefstädter Strasse or at stor> in Strozzigasse. An absolute design highlight is also the newly opened himbeer & soda in Westbahnstrasse (1070), where one can find new, affordable product design objects that straddle the line between design and art. The Breite Gasse has finally awakened to life – or shopping – with its werkbank and Fjordlys. Vienna has always been one of the top cities in terms of quality culinary offerings. But even in this, one can see there’s room for more; for example, at the on Market or the Café Français. ... es dreht sich ums Rad ... it revolves around the bike The theme of the new guided – how could it be otherwise in ‘Vélo City’ – is the bicycle. As a sign of mobility and flexibility, the bike is a perfect match for guided, and vice versa. And what could be more ideal than a cycling tour of the city? A kind of ‘cycle chic’ has now finally arrived in Vienna. Of course, the total effect is much better with a pair of stylish biker jeans by the Gebrüder Stitch and a sporty but elegant top from ulliKo. Add to that a smart, roomy, laptop-friendly shoulder bag from ozelot in Lindengasse, and you’re ready to hit the pedals. But don’t forget the most important item: you can get a simple but comfortable bike at elektrobiker in Westbahnstrasse. Altogether, Vienna is becoming more liveable as a whole and guided reveals a segment of this wonderfully creative, multifacetted city.
