Vorwort
Willkommen zur Schweizer Präsenz
Seit mehr als 60 Jahren gilt die HANNOVER MESSE als das führende Technologieereignis, wo sich Anbieter, Forschung, Einkäufer
und Partner aus der ganzen Welt treffen. 2009 sind insgesamt 14
Leitmessen unter einem Dach vereint.
Die HANNOVER MESSE bildet für die Schweizer Zulieferer die
ideale Präsentationsfläche, um ihre Hightech-Lösungen und ihr
Know-how einem internationalen Publikum zu präsentieren, und sie
ist Platt­form, um die Schweiz als starken Forschungs-, Entwick­
lungs- und Innovationsstandort bekannt zu machen.
Seit mehr als 25 Jahren ist die Schweiz mit mindestens einem
«SWISS Pavilion» auf der HANNOVER MESSE vertreten. Auf der
diesjährigen Messe bildet der «SWISS Pavilion» im Subcontracting
wiederum den Leuchtturm der Schweizer Präsenz mit 18 Aus­stel­
lern. Daneben präsentiert sich ein zweiter «SWISS Pavilion» in der
Research & Technology mit 8 Ausstellern.
Die «SWISS Pavilion» werden unter der Trägerschaft von Osec in
mehrjähriger Kooperation mit SCHOCH Marketing und dem Swiss
Business Hub Germany organisiert. SMZ, der Verband Schweizer
metallverarbeitender Zulieferer, und Swissmechanic unterstützen
das Projekt.
Osec unterstützt Schweizer und Liechtensteiner Unternehmen beim
Auf- und Ausbau ihrer Auslandaktivitäten. Seit 2008 sind die
Leistungsaufträge der Export-, Import- und Investitionsförderung
sowie der Standortpromotion unter einem gemeinsamen Dach, dem
sogenannten «Haus der Aussenwirtschaftsförderung» gebündelt.
Nebst dem Hauptsitz in Zürich verfügt Osec über Zweigstellen in
Lausanne und Lugano in der Schweiz und weltweit über 16 Swiss
Business Hubs.

Foreword
Welcome to the presentation of Switzerland
Established sixty years ago, HANNOVER MESSE has developed to
the leading international showplace for industrial technologies,
materials and product ideas, where purchasing, suppliers, research
and partners meet. 2009, 14 flagship fairs are being featured under
one brand.
Hannover Fair is still one of the leading presentation platforms for
the Swiss subcontracting industry to present innovative high-tech
solutions and know how to international trade visitors.
Furthermore, it offers a great opportunity to present Switzerland as
a strong location for research, innovation and development.
For more than 25 years, Switzerland has been represented with at
least one «SWISS Pavilion» at Hannover Fair. Again, the «SWISS
Pavilion» in Subcontracting with 18 exhibitors is the light house of
Switzerland’s presence. Another «SWISS Pavilion» with 8 exhibitors is
located in Research & Technology.
The «SWISS Pavilion» is organised by Osec in cooperation with
SCHOCH Marketing and the Swiss Business Hub Germany. SMZ,
the association of Swiss metal working sub-contractors, as well as
Swissmechanic support the project.
Osec helps companies from Switzerland and Liechtenstein to develop
and expand their activities abroad. Since 2008, Osec is to become
the umbrella organisation for the promotion of exports, imports
and investments, as well as for the promotion of Switzerland as a
business location, making it «The home of foreign trade promotion». Beside of the headquarter in Zurich, local branches exist in
Lugano and Lausanne, and 16 Swiss Business Hubs world wide.

Das PSI stellt seinen neuartigen Domino-Ring-Sampler vor, ein einzigartiger und leistungsstarker Chip, der acht Signale gleichzeitig mit
bis zu 5 Megasamples pro Sekunde und einer Auflösung von bis zu
12 Bit misst. Dieser Chip ersetzt zusammen mit einem Standard-PC
und einer einfachen Software ein entsprechendes Oszilloskop zu
Kosten, die bis zu 90 % tiefer liegen können. Diese einzigartige Tech­
nik ist einsetzbar für beliebige Labor- und Industrieanwen­dun­gen.
The Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) is a multi-disciplinary research centre for natural sciences and technology. With its large-scale research
facilities it is a renowned user lab for the worldwide scientific community.
PSI is presenting its novel Domino-Ring-Sampler which is a unique
and powerful chip measuring eight signals simultaneously with up
to 5 billion samples per second and a resolution of almost 12 bits.
This chip together with a standard personal computer and dedicated software represents a complete and powerful oscilloscope at up
to 90 % percent lower costs than a state-of-the-art oscilloscope and
is useful for any laboratory and industrial application.
