Rund 600.000 Euro lässt sich das Unternehmen diese Maßnahmen kosten und setzt damit bereits im dritten Jahr in Folge auf die Anschaffung
zukunftsweisender Produktionstechnik.
This is the third year in succession that the company has invested in
cutting-edge production technology – this time to the tune of around
600,000 euros.
Die Einrichtung einer zusätzlichen Sortier- und Verpackungsanlage verschafft dem Betrieb dabei Vorteile bei der Optimierung der Produktionsabläufe sowie im logistischen Bereich. Der Einsatz von zwei Seitendruckanlagen eröffnet Korzilius neue Möglichkeiten bei der Dekoration von
Treppenstufen, Balkon- und Stufenschenkeln.
The installation of an additional sorting and packaging line results in optimised production flows at the plant while also providing for improvements
in the area of logistics. The deployment of two side-printing systems
opens up new possibilities for Korzilius with regard to decorative finishes
for stairs and attached angles for balconies and steps.
Erste Ergebnisse dieser jüngsten Investitionen wird Korzilius bereits im
September auf der diesjährigen Fliesenfachmesse „Cersaie“ in Bologna
sowie im Januar 2013 auf der „BAU“ in München präsentieren.

Was bedeutet extrudiert?
Bei der Herstellung extrudierter Fliesen wird eine plastisch formbare Masse – bestehend aus Ton, Mineralstoffen, Schamotte und Wasser - als fortlaufender
Strang durch eine Art Schablone in die gewünschte
Form gepresst (extrudiert) und anschließend auf entsprechende Länge geschnitten.
Was sind „rektifizierte“ Fliesen?
Bei Korzilius werden die Kanten der extrudierten Fliesen nach dem Brand exakt auf Maß geschliffen
(rektifiziert). Diese Fliesen können
dann passgenau verlegt werden
– für ein optisch schönes, besonders schmales Fliesenraster.

In extruded tiles, precise grinding after firing – so-called
„rectifying” – eliminates the dimensional tolerance
caused by shrinkage. Installations with particularly

whatsoever.

What does extruded mean?
In the manufacture of extruded tiles, a plastically
mouldable mass – consisting of clay, minerals, fireclay
and water – is pressed (extruded) into the desired form
by forcing it through a die in a continuous ribbon and
then cut to the required length.
What are “rectified” tiles?
At Korzilius, the edges of extruded tiles are accurately
ground to size (rectified) after firing. These tiles can
then be laid precisely to create a visually attractive tiling
arrangement with particularly narrow joints.

Tonkrügen begann, später mit Tongeschirr
und Steinzeugröhren fortgesetzt wurde,

Hersteller der Tubadzin Gruppe an, die zu
den größten polnischen Keramikherstellern gehört.
Korzilius has been producing ceramics
since 1846. It initially produced stoneware jugs and went on to manufacture
earthenware and clay pipes. In the 1950s,
the course was set for the future when
the company commenced the production
of tiles. Since 2008, the German manufacturer has been part of the Tubadzin
Group, which is one of the largest Polish
ceramic manufacturers.
Die besondere Qualität der Korzilius-Fliesen ist unter anderem in ihrer speziellen Produktionsmethode
begründet: Korzilius stellt nach dem Verfahren des

The special quality of Korzilius tiles is, in part,
due to its special production method: Korzilius
uses the extrusion method of production. The
clay is wet-processed and shaped. This offers
various advantages over dry-pressed products:
the pore structure of the tiles ensures high frost
resistance whilst the structured reverse side
bonds particularly well with the mortar bed. This
method can also be used to produce trims such
as attached angles, steps and corners.

„koraDryFloor“: Neues System zur Trockenverlegung

“koraDryFloor”: new system for dry-laying large-format floor tiles in indoor areas
–> The special feature of this development
is an approximately 2 mm thick layer of cork on the
underside of the tiles, which also protrudes 1.5 mm
over the edges. During installation, the tiles grip
the floor tightly and can be laid closely together
without spacers. Only the ceramic surface has to be
grouted (using a dispersion or epoxy-resin based
joint compound). Within just a short period of time,
the floor is usable again. – At the same time, the
cork layer ensures that the tiles are acoustically and
mechanically uncoupled from the substrate. The
footfall sound is reduced and the floor feels pleasant
to walk on.“koraDryFloor” also reduces the transmission of stress from the substrate and thus
prevents cracking.

Lärm oder Verschmutzungen
möglichst klein gehalten
werden sollen.

–> Die Besonderheit dieser Entwicklung:
Eine etwa zwei Millimeter dicke und an den Rändern
1,5 mm überstehende Korkschicht an der Unterseite der Fliesen. Sie saugt sich bei der Verlegung fest
an den Boden und wird ohne Fugenkreuze dicht an
dicht verlegt. Verfugt werden muss letztlich nur die
keramische Fläche (mit Fugenmasse auf Dispersions- oder Epoxidharz-Basis). Nach kurzer Zeit ist der
Boden anschließend wieder begehbar. – Gleichzeitig
sorgt die Korkschicht für eine akustische und mechanische Entkopplung der Fliesen mit dem Untergrund.
„koraDryFloor“ reduziert außerdem die Übertragung
von Spannungen aus dem Untergrund und verhindert
damit Rissbildungen.

Die Fliesen werden durch einfaches Anheben wieder
entfernt, ohne dass der Untergrund und der keramische Belag Schaden nehmen.

Belegt werden können mit dem „koraDryFloor“-System unterschiedlichste Untergründe. Voraussetzung
ist lediglich, dass sie fest und eben sind.
