Liebe Musikliebhaber und GENUIN-Freunde,
Dear Music Lovers and GENUIN Friends,
das Jahr 2013 ist für uns ein ganz besonderes: Wir feiern unser
10-jähriges Bestehen als Klassik-Label!
Einige werden sich sicherlich wundern: „Erst 10 Jahre?“ –
vor allem in Anbetracht der mehr als 250 CD-Veröffentlichungen.
Dass uns dies trotz der allgemein anhaltenden Krise am
CD-Markt gelungen ist, erfüllt uns mit großer Freude und
zugegebenermaßen auch mit ein wenig Stolz.
Bei unserem Start im Jahr 2003 war unter unseren Musikern
„der ersten Stunde“ einer, der schon damals zu den am
längsten aktiv musizierenden Künstlern gehörte. Und dass
dieses legendäre Genie noch immer zu unseren jährlichen
Höhepunkten zählt, ist für uns – damals wie heute – ein richtiges
Wunder: Paul Badura-Skoda wird auch in diesem Jahr wieder
CDs bei uns veröffentlichen, diesmal kommt er mit zwei
brandneuen Schubert-Einspielungen vom Dezember 2011
zu Wort.
Die Anrede „GENUIN-Freunde“ über diesem Text war übrigens
sehr bewusst gewählt: Vor einem Jahr haben wir im Internet
unsere Präsenz auf Facebook gestartet und freuen uns seitdem
über eine stetig steigende Zahl an digitalen Freunden. Dort
informieren wir Sie immer aktuell über spannende Projekte
und interessante neue CDs, häufig begleitet durch Fotos oder
kleine Videofilme.
Da wir aber als Musikbegeisterte trotz allen virtuellen Fortschritts
sinnliche Menschen sind, bleiben wir unserem sehr reellen
und „analogen“ Katalog mit seiner ansprechenden Optik und
angenehmen Haptik treu. Wie gewohnt offerieren wir Ihnen
auf den folgenden Seiten unsere musikalischen Schätze:

The year 2013 is a very special one for us: We are celebrating
our 10th anniversary as a classical music label!
Some of you are certainly asking yourselves: “Only 10 years?” –
especially considering the more than 250 CDs we have issued.
That we have managed to do this despite the continuing
general crisis on the CD market is very pleasing, and we must
admit that we are also a little proud of the fact.
When we started our label in 2003 one of the musicians
who “was there from the first moment” he could already look
back on one of the longest performance careers. And that
this legendary genius still numbers among our yearly highlights is a genuine miracle for us – as much then as today:
Paul Badura-Skoda will issue CDs again this year too, this time
presenting two brand new Schubert discs recorded in
December 2011.
Incidentally, we deliberately chose the greeting “GENUIN
Friends” to begin this letter: A year ago we launched our Facebook
page on the Web and have been pleased by the ever-growing
number of digital friends. There you can get the latest
news about exciting projects and interesting new CDs, often
accompanied by photos or short videos.
Despite all the virtual progress, as music enthusiasts we are
sensual beings and remain true to our very real and “analogue”
catalogue with its appealing appearance and touch-andfeel. As usual, on the following pages we offer you our musical
treasures: once again you will find new and old, the
familiar and as yet unheard, traditional works as well as true
discoveries!
