l „Wiener Übereinkommen aus 1961“: Hier wurde der internationale diplomatische Austausch völkerrechtlich geregelt
und vereinheitlicht. Fortan existierten juristisch fixierte Normen und Regeln für den diplomatischen Verkehr.
l 1967 hatte Österreich den Vereinten Nationen (UNO) ein Internationales Zentrum angeboten. 1979 wird das Vienna
International Center eröffnet. 1987 nimmt daneben das Austria Center Vienna seinen Betrieb auf.
