Two other smaller meals maybe taken during the day to maintain physical strength, but these two meals together should not equal a full meal in quantity. Fasting obliges all those who have reach the age of 18 and continue to oblige until age 59. Those not specifically obliged to fast are encouraged to join in the discipline of fasting to the extent that they are able. “Abstinence” prohibits individuals from eating meat on a particular day. Abstinence obliges all those who have reached the age of 14 and continues to oblige throughout their entire life. Those not specifically obliged to abstain from eating meat are encouraged to join in this discipline to the extent that they are able. February 7, 2016 Je- sus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men." When they brought their boats to the shore, they left everything and followed him. Lk 5:10-11 Entonces Jesús le dijo a Simón: "No temas; desde ahora serás pescador de hombres". Luego llevaron las barcas a tierra, y dejándolo todo, lo siguieron. - Lc 5, 10-11 Readings for the Week of February 7, 2016 Sunday: Is 6:1-2a, 3-8/Ps 138:1-5, 7-8/1 Cor 15:1-11 or 15:3-8, 11/Lk 5:1-11 Monday: 1 Kgs 8:1-7, 9-13/Ps 132:6-10/Mk 6:53-56 Tuesday: 1 Kgs 8:22-23, 27-30/Ps 84:3-5, 10-11/ Mk 7:1-13 Wednesday: Jl 2:12-18/2 Cor 5:20--6:2/ Ps 51:3-6, 12-14, 17/Mt 6:1-6, 16-18 Thursday: Dt 30:15-20/Ps 1:1-4, 6/Lk 9:22-25 Friday: Is 58:1-9a/Ps 51:3-6, 18-19/Mt 9:14-15 Saturday: Is 58:9b-14/Ps 86:1-6/Lk 5:27-32 Next Sunday: Dt 26:4-10/Ps 91:1-2, 10-15/Rom 10:8-13/ Lk 4:1-13 Las lecturas de la semana del 7 de febrero de 2016 Domingo: Is 6, 1-2. 3-8/Sal 138, 1-5. 7-8/1 Cor 15, 1-11 o 15, 3-8. 11/Lc 5, 1-11 Lunes: 1 Re 8, 1-7. 9-13/Sal 132, 6-10/ Mc 6, 53-56 Martes: 1 Re 8, 22-23. 27-30/Sal 84, 3-5. 10-11/ Mc 7, 1-13 Miércoles: Jl 2, 12-18/2 Cor 5, 20--6, 2/ Sal 51, 3-6. 12-14. 17/Mt 6, 1-6. 16-18 Jueves: Dt 30, 15-20/Sal 1, 1-4. 6/Lc 9, 22-25 Viernes: Is 58, 1-9/Sal 51, 3-6. 18-19/Mt 9, 14-15 Sábado: Is 58, 9-14/Sal 86, 1-6/Lc 5, 27-32 Domingo siguiente: Dt 26, 4-10/Sal 91, 1-2. 10-15/ Rom 10, 8-13/Lc 4, 1-13
