We will pick you up from Reykjavík and take the fast route to Langjökull glacier,
making a short stop at our rafting base camp and Gullfoss waterfall before
entering the Icelandic Highlands. When we arrive at our snowmobile glacier base
camp our specially trained glacier guides will show you how to safely operate
the snowmobiles before we go for a great one-hour tour on Langjökull glacier.
Langjökull is Iceland’s second biggest glacier; it is several enormous ice filled
volcanic craters, rimmed in by imposing volcanoes and set in the breathtaking
Icelandic interior. The views from the flanks of the Langjökull glacier are quite
staggering. The Glacier Ride is a scenic and fun glacier tour, available from
Gullfoss waterfall every day during summer.
Details:
Included: 1 hour snowmobile ride with two persons sharing a snowmobile
and snow gear. Duration: 3-4 hours, 6-7 hours with pick-up. Bring with you:
Warm and waterproof outdoor clothing and hiking shoes (we also have some gear
to lend on location). Age limit: 10 years as a passenger on the snowmobile.
Please note:
A valid driving licence is required to drive the snowmobile.
How to get there by car:
Meeting is at the Gullfoss Café upper parking lot (book in advance). Gullfoss
café GPS: 64°19’34.51”N, 20°07’54.23”W (WGS84). Guaranteed departures are
everyday at 12:00.

In einem Super-Jeep geht es direkt zum Gletscher
Langjökull, welcher ungefähr 2 Stunden entfernt ist. Sobald
wir am Gletscher angekommen sind, geben wir euch eine Sicherheitseinführung und erklären die Benutzung der Motorschlitten.
Wir gehen auf eine 1-stündige berauschende Motorschlittenfahrt
über endlos weite Schneeflächen. Diese Tour ist eine großartige
Möglichkeit die riesigen Gletscher Islands zu entdecken.
