Il Mercatino di Natale di Bolzano prende il via per la venticinquesima
volta il 26 novembre alle 17 e proporrà la collaudata formula di 80 espositori,
sette partner e tre stand gastronomici fino al 6 gennaio 2016.
Sarà un’edizione ricca di novità, a partire dall’inaugurazione, con la partecipazione delle quattro bande musicali cittadine e di cori italiani e tedeschi,
che per l’occasione festeggeranno con suoni e melodie tradizionali la
manifestazione più attesa e più importante di Bolzano.

Programma di contorno
La musica è come sempre una parte fondamentale del
mercatino: le melodie tradizionali dell’Avvento Alpino non
risuonano solamente dagli altoparlanti: saranno eseguite
dal vivo in tutti i fine settimana. Diverse ore di programma
distribuite su tutta la giornata accoglieranno ospiti e bol-
zanini nel magico mondo della musica tradizionale locale,
con costumi e suoni autentici, spesso tramandati solo at-
traverso la tradizione orale. Come di consuetudine i fiati
torneranno a suonare anche dal balcone di Palazzo Mercantile su via Portici, ogni sabato alle 17. Il 19 e 20 dicem-
bre il mercatino vedrà l’allestimento del presepe vivente,

per magia, le figure di legno diventeranno reali, accompagnate durante il pomeriggio dalle melodie di cantori e

Capodanno
Per festeggiare l’arrivo dell’anno nuovo verrà organizzata
una speciale festa di Capodanno nel centro storico. Un
susseguirsi di esibizioni live di band e dj in piazza Domenicani e piazza Erbe, spettacolari walking acts con tram-
poli e giochi di fuoco tra le due piazze e un emozionante
countdown di mezzanotte.
Green Event
Sostenibile, regionale e unico. Anche nel 2015 il Mercatino
di Natale di Bolzano si presenta con uno splendido abito
“verde”. Sempre più sinonimo di sostenibilità, regionalista
e genuinità, il mercatino ha ottenuto la certificazione
Green Event grazie al rispetto di parametri come l’utilizzo
di prodotti a basso impatto ambientale, il risparmio energetico e un’efficace gestione dei rifiuti.
Pacchetti vacanza “Magie d’Avvento”
In occasione del Mercatino di Natale gli alberghi di Bolzano proporranno pacchetti vacanza per un soggiorno
all’insegna della tradizione natalizia, che comprendono:

trägt in diesem Jahr aber Silber. Am 26. November um
17 Uhr wird die erfolgreichste Veranstaltung der Stadt
Bozen zum 25. Mal festlich eröffnet.

andere mehr. Mehr als ein Drittel der Produkte sind original Südtiroler Handarbeit.
Vor dem Bozner Rathaus wird wie jedes Jahr vom ersten
Advent bis zum 23. Dezember der Markt des Kunsthand-
werks abgehalten, an dem Aussteller aus der Region und
aus ganz Italien teilnehmen, die zum Teil auch vor Ort
ihrer Arbeit nachgehen.
Programm für die kleinen Gäste
Auch wenn der Christkindlmarkt Kinder mit seinen bun-
ten Farben, Lichtern, Gerüchen und Leckereien fasziniert,
sind ihrer Ausdauer doch Grenzen gesetzt. Am Musterplatz gibt es verschiedene Angebote für Kinder wie unter Aufsicht basteln und spielen. Zum Familienangebot
des Christkindlmarkts gehören natürlich auch ein kleiner
Spielplatz, der bewährte Kinder-Zug und das kleine Karus-
sell, romantische Kutschenfahrten durch die geschmückte
Altstadt oder Ponyreiten.
Die Lange Nacht der Museen
Bozen ist eine Stadt der Kultur, sechs Museen sind über
das Stadtzentrum verteilt und laden am 27. November
zur Nacht der Museen ein: das Archäologiemuseum mit
Ötzi, Museion, das Naturmuseum, das Merkantilmuseum
usw. Von 16 Uhr bis ein Uhr nachts laden sie zu einem Mu-

Es gibt Sammler, die stolz sind auf ihre 24 Christkindl-
markttassen, die sie von der ersten Ausgabe an Jahr für
Jahr gesammelt haben. Jetzt heißt es Platz machen im Re-
gal: Zum 25. Jubiläum gibt es nicht eine sondern gleich vier
neue Tassen, kreiert von Künstlerin Christine Gallmetzer.
Begleitprogramm
Kein Weihnachten ohne Musik und so werden auch in
diesem Jahr an allen Adventswochenenden Südtiroler
Musikgruppen in typischer Tracht und mit traditionellen
Instrumenten das alpine Weihnachten erklingen lassen.
An jedem Samstag werden um 17 Uhr vom Balkon des
Merkantilgebäudes Bläsergruppen spielen. Am 19. und 20.
Dezember erwachen die Holzfiguren der Krippe zu Füßen
des Weihnachtsbaumes wie durch Zauber zu Leben und
laden zum Krippenspiel ein.
Silvester
Feuerspiele, Walking-Acts, Livemusik und DJs werden an
Silvester die Altstadt Bozens sowie den Waltherplatz und
den Obstmarkt beleben bis zum Countdown, wenn eine
Minute vor Mitternacht die Sekunden zum Jahreswechsel
gezählt werden.
Green Event
Nachhaltig, regional und einzigartig – so präsentiert sich
der Bozner Christkindlmarkt auch in seiner Jubiläums-
ausgabe. Das Sortiment traditioneller Produkte aus der
Region, hergestellt nach umweltfreundlichen Methoden
und mit ebensolchen Materialien, der sparsame, verantwortungsvolle Umgang mit Energie sowie ein ökologisches Abfallprogramm haben dieser Bozner Großveranstaltung das Gütezeichen „Green Event“ eingetragen.

Gold is normally the colour of the Christmas festivities but this
year Bolzano’s Christmas market celebrates its silver anniversary.
Bolzano’s most successful event over the whole year opens its
doors on 26th November at 5.00pm for the 25th time!

No, these aren’t pieces of jewellery created for the
Christmas market but two new drinks made in
South Tyrol which will be on offer at all South Tyrol’s
Christmas markets. Ruby is non-alcoholic even if it
looks a bit like mulled wine. It has a distinctive taste
and is made made with apple, quince and aniseed.
Gold is mildly-alcoholic, a successful mix of cider
with quince and aniseed. Both are to be had at the
wine stall on the Bolzano Christmas market.
The long night of the museums
Bolzano is a city of culture with its six museums scattered
around the centre, all of which invite locals and visitors

are open between 4.00pm and 1.00am and until 8.00pm
there’s a family-friendly programme, with games, workshops and guided tours. Also the Christmas market stalls
will remain open till 10.00pm on this day.

There are many collectors proud of their collection of all
round eighty stalls will be open around the
Waltherplatz until 6th January 2016 and three
stalls will offer local gastronomic specialities
such as apple-strudel, Christmas biscuits, ap-
ple-fritters, mulled wine and apple punch.
Regulars will once again be treated to novelties, this
year featuring „Reading at Bolzano’s Christmas market“,
at which 12 successful authors will present their latest
works. Four music bands and choirs will accompany the
opening of Bolzano’s biggest event of the year.
The illuminations of the massive Christmas tree and the
rustic crib with its wooden shingles will again be the highlight of Advent on the Waltherplatz. As always, the mar-
ket stalls will be grouped around the Walther monument.
Christmas decorations made of wood and straw, hand-
painted baubles, beeswax candles, felt hats and slippers,
Christmas biscuits, musical instruments, Christmas cards,
wooden toys and much else besides will be on offer. Over
one third of the products are original South Tyrolean handicrafts.
From the first Sunday in Advent through to the 23rd December, the square in front of the old town hall will also
host an arts and handicrafts market, with craftspeople
from the region and all over Italy taking part, some of
whom will actually be creating their handicrafts on the
spot.
Special programme for our younger visitors
The Christmas market with its bright colours, lights, smells
and flavours will for sure fascinate children, but of course,

because the 25th anniversary will not see just one new
mug, but four – all created by the local artist Christine

Christmas without music is unthinkable and also this year
will see various South Tyrolean music groups in their traditional costumes performing during the weekends of Advent. Brass musicians will also perform every Saturday at
5.00pm on the balcony of the Mercantile building. On the
19th and 20th December the life-sized wooden statues of
the crib will magically come to life.
New Year’s Eve
Fire performances, walking-acts, live music and DJs will
enliven the Waltherplatz and the whole town-centre right
up to the countdown starting one minute to midnight.
Green event
Sustainable, locally-sourced and unique: these are the
features of Bolzano’s Christmas market also on its 25th
birthday. Traditional, regional products made in environ-
mentally-friendly ways, a responsible use of energy and
an ecological waste-disposal programme have earned the
Christmas market the ‚Green Event‘ award.

К 25-летию базара устроена новая инициатива - «Рождество
с книгами». Во время четырех недель Рождественского
кануна (Адвента) в Больцано приедут двенадцать писателей
- восемь итальянских и четыре, пишущих на немецком. Они
представят свои последние труды, вместе с редакторами
трех местных газет - по четвергам, пятницам и субботам
каждой недели. Также и по воскресеньям пройдут встречи
под названием «Журналист исповедуется».
Долгая ночь музеев и… шоппинга
В пятницу 27-го ноября вернется «Долгая ночь музеев»
с интересными выставками, экскурсиями, встречами,
лабораториями, музыкой, спектаклями. Шесть музеев
Больцано откроют свои двери - с 16 до 1 часа ночи.

игры, анимация, развлекательные и образовательные

праздник, с концертами музыкантов и дискотеками на
пьяцца Доменикани и пьяцца Эрбе, с хождениями на
ходулях, шутихами и фейерверками, и с обратным отсчетом
к полуночи.
Green Event
Экологично, регионально и уникально. Также и в 2015
году Рождественский базар облачен в «зеленый» цвет. Он
получил сертификат «Green Event» («Зеленое событие»)
благодаря использованию экологичных продуктов,
экономии электроэнергии и эффективной уборке мусора.
Турпакеты «Волшебство Адвента»
Для Рождественского базара гостиницы Больцано
предлагают особые пакеты - это три ночлега с завтраком
(прибытие в воскресенье, понедельник и вторник),

erschließen. Direkt unter dem Rittner Horn wecken zwei
akkurat beschneite Schlepplift-Pisten Erinnerungen an
die 60er Jahre, ein Genuss vor allem für jene Skifahrer, die
sich abseits des großen Rummels auf ihren Brettern ver-
gnügen wollen. 15 km Pisten, eine spannende Rodelbahn,

Boarder-Piste, Loipen und Rodelbahn ein Paradies für
jeden Wintersportfan, vom Anfänger bis zum Profi, für
Klein und Groß. Nur wenige Kilometer entfernt liegt das
Langlauf-Skicenter Lavazé mit perfekt gespurten Loipen
für jedes Niveau.
Von der Talstation gelangt man per Bus direkt ins Skige-
Carezza – Welschnofen
Dazumal-Fahrt über den tief verschneiten Ritten ein und
entfernt liegt das Skigebiet Carezza-Karerpass an den

Obereggen – Latemar
Das 1.550 Meter hoch gelegene Obereggen zu Füßen des

Bozen entfernt und sozusagen die Hauspiste der Bozner.
Ebenfalls im Eggental und nur 30 Minuten von Bozen
Hängen des Rosengartens. Ein von der Sonne verwöhn-
tes Familienskigebiet mit 15 Aufstiegsanlagen, eine davon
direkt am Parkplatz in Welschnofen. Über 40 km Pisten,

olzano capitale dello sci? Per chi non la cono-

sce la definizione non è sorprendente, visto
che siamo alla porta delle Dolomiti. Se l’ospi-
te consulta cataloghi e internet può restare
perplesso scoprendo come, pur nel cuore delle
Alpi, la città si trovi ad appena 265 metri di quota.
Eppure è proprio questo “regalo” della natura che ha fatto
di Bolzano una città ideale per una vacanza sulla neve ab-
binata ai vantaggi della città. In un arco di tempo che va
dai 25 a 60 minuti massimo, si può raggiungere ben quat-
tro prestigiosi comprensori turistico-sportivi: Obereggen-
Latemar, Carezza - Nova Levante, Reinswald-Sarentino e il
Corno del Renon, dai quali, dopo un’intensa giornata pas-
sata fra sci alpino, fondo, acrobazie e passeggiate, in pochi
minuti si può scendere fra le luci della città. Bolzano, 105
mila abitanti, una piccola-grande città con un’offerta che
ha poco da invidiare ai grandi centri urbani: shopping d’al-
to livello, gastronomia italo-sudtirolese, internazionale o
etnica, deliziosi bar ideali per l’“happy hour”, impianti per
tutti gli sport, piste ciclabili, cinque teatri, cinema, audi-
torium. … e il più famoso Mercatino di Natale dall’ultima
settimana di novembre al 6 gennaio.
Ma torniamo sulla neve.
Sarentino-Reinswald
La Val Sarentino, a soli 30 minuti da Bolzano, sorprende subito per un colpo d’occhio tutto diverso con il suo compren-
sorio invernale, che segna un passaggio repentino da un
ambiente urbano a un paesaggio di forte impronta rurale.
Si tratta di un’area che sale dai 1.000 metri circa del borgo
di San Martino a quasi 2.500 metri, ideale per sciatori,
snowboarder, slittinisti, fondisti e scialpinisti. La pista
“regina” per i discesisti provetti è la “Jochpiste” (ma
ci sono anche facili pendii per bimbi e principianti),
utilizzata per la Coppa Europa, con una pendenza del
58%. Meno impegnativa la “Reinswalder Wiesn” di 4,5 km,
una delle piste di slittino più lunghe dell’Alto Adige,
adattata con opportune misure, anche per romantiche
gite a piedi o in slitta sotto la luna piena.
Corno del Renon
Ed eccoci infine sul culmine del noto Altopiano del Renon,
la cima “Corno” a 2.270 metri d’altezza, piccola località

incontaminata per chi non ama la “pazza folla” . È raggiungibile entro un massimo di 45 minuti in auto, oppure con tutta calma, mediante vari mezzi tra cui anche un
suggestivo ultracentenario trenino elettrico e una moder-
nissima cabinovia con vista in “cinemascope” sulla conca
di Bolzano. L’offerta è completa: una cabinovia e 2 skilift,
15 chilometri di piste per sciatori e snowboarder, 2 piste
da fondo (nonché da ciaspole) per 40 km in totale, verso
la vasta distesa dell’Alpe di Villandro; inoltre, snow park,
parco giochi per bimbi, pista di slittino (2,5 km), sci alpini-
smo guidato, pattinaggio velocità su anello artificiale (a
Collalbo) oppure “libero” sulla distesa ghiacciata del lago
di Costalovara.
Obereggen -Latemar
È uno dei comprensori più vasti e il più vicino alla città,
in Val d’Ega a 20 minuti d’auto (1.500-2.500 m di quota)
ai piedi del Gruppo dolomitico Latemar, patrimonio
dell’Unesco, uno dei più prestigiosi centri invernali delle
Alpi per servizi d’eccellenza. Impianti d’avanguardia per
sci, slittino anche in notturna lungo i 48 km di piste con
18 impianti che portano anche al versante di Pampeago in
Val di Fiemme. Amanti della tavola e free-stylers si ritrovano nello snowpark per sfidarsi su kickers, halfpipes, bag
jump; aperta inoltre una pista da fondo per grandi e picco-
li, accoglienti gli hotel con piscina e wellness. Non manca
il “dopo sci” e la vita notturna nei caldi e accoglienti locali
animati da musica e ballo.
Carezza – Nova Levante
A 30 minuti d’auto, sempre in Val d’Ega, ecco il secondo

drag-lifts evoke a 1960’s atmosphere, great fun in particular for those trying to escape the big crowds. Apart from
the 15 km of pistes, there is also a toboggan run, a snow-
board-park, cross-country tracks and snowshoeing trails
connecting the Horn with the Villanderer Alm. The nearby
village of Klobenstein has a speed-skating ice-rink, while
for those who want to take it a bit easier there’s a lovely
winter-walk through the woods to the frozen Wolfsgruben See lake.
The village of Obereggen at the foot of the mighty Lateble along the recently-upgraded Eggental road and its
two long tunnels, so it really is just a stone’s throw from
Bolzano, making it the main skiing area for the townspeo-
ple. With its 48 km of perfectly-prepared pistes rising up to
2500 metres, its 18 lifts, a snowpark for snowboarders with
a half-pipe and cross-boarder piste, with its cross-country
trails and toboggan runs – it’s a veritable paradise for eve-

лыжных альпинистов. Лыжня-«царица» для опытных
горнолыжников - это “Jochpiste”, используемая и для
Европейского Кубка. Не так трудна “Reinswalder Wiesn”,
четыре с половиной км, одна из самых длинных колеей для
саней в Южном Тироле, пригодная и для романтических
катаний при луне.
Рог Ренона
Находящаяся на высокогорье Ренона, вершина «Рог»
(“Corno”), высотой 2270 м - прекрасное место для тех,
кто не любит толчею. Сюда можно добраться за 45 минут
на машине, или же разными видами общественного
транспорта, включая интересную старую электричку
и современнейший подъемник с видом на Больцано.
В комплекс входят подъемник, 2 лыжных лифта, 15
километров колеи для сноубордистов и лыжников, две
лыжни для беговых лыж (и для «снегоступов») длиною
40 км, кроме того, сноупарк, парк для детских игр, колея
для санок (2,5 км), лыжный альпинизм, конькобежный
спорт в Коллальбо или «свободные» коньки на льду озера
Косталовара.
Оберегген - Латемар
Самый близкий к городу, в Валь-д’Эга, в 20 минутах на
машине (1500-2000 м) у подножья Латемар. Передовые
лыжные структуры, санки, также и ночные: 48 км дорожек
с 18-ю установками, которые доводят до Валь-ди-Фиемме.
Любителей доски и free-stylers привечают в снежном

isogna sapere come arrivarci, nascosti come
sono nella piccolissima frazione di Prati di
Sarentino, Auen in tedesco. Raggiungibili in
macchina o nel caso della Skihütte anche a
piedi, con le ciaspole o con gli sci da scialpi-

per noi”, ricorda Heinrich Schneider, che gestisce assieme
alla sorella Gisela l’“Auener Hof”, ristorante aperto negli
anni Settanta dai loro genitori e oggi il più alto in Italia a
potersi fregiare di una stella Michelin, quota 1.614 metri

tre cappelli della rinomata guida Gault Millau e in più, nel
mondo dei gourmet, la loro relativa inaccessibilità oggi è
diventata un punto di forza e un elemento di fascino.
All’Auener Hof si può solo cenare optando per un menu a
nove o a sedici portate. Caratteristica particolare della cucina stellata e volutamente “a vista” di Heinrich Schneider
sono le erbe e i fiori che va a raccogliere tutti i giorni nel
bosco e sui prati attorno al suo ristorante. Gisela Schneider invece è sommelier e il locale vanta una lista di mille
etichette con una preferenza per piccoli produttori locali.
Attorno al ristorante “Terra” con la sua finestra sulla cucina
che è l’indiscutibile centro dell’Auener Hof, ci sono le otto
stanze e le due suite, la biblioteca e la piccola spa.

Chi si trova alle prese con una giornata grigia, umida e
fredda ha un sogno: un paesaggio invernale incontamina-

stretta bottega è minimalista, in fondo il
banco da lavoro, davanti il banco di vendi-
ta con vetrina incorporata, il tutto sotto
un soffitto a volta. L’orafa crea i suoi gio-
ielli ad hoc: “E‘ tutto nella mia testa“, dice.
“Mi siedo al banco e inizio.” Se poi dalle
sue mani esce un anello in filigrana, fatto
di un unico filo d’oro, un paio d’orecchini
con una pietra dura o una collana dipende dal materiale a disposizione e dall’ispi-

merk legt Pastalpina dabei auf das Einkorn,
was eine Urform des heutigen Weizens ist.
Zwar beschert das Einkorn nur geringe Er-
träge (wie der Name schon verrät, nur ein
Korn pro Ährchen), doch kann es durch seine
besondere Eiweißzusammensetzung eine
gute Alternative bei bestehenden Unverträglichkeiten darstellen.

findet auch das „Regiokorn“ Verwendung.

in Alto Adige, oggi si raccolgono, infatti, ben
240 tonnellate di Regiograno.
Tutte le fasi di produzione della pasta sono

The ‘Pastalpina’ manufactory uses different types of grain to make exquisite pasta
and grissini, the pencil-sized sticks of crisp
bread found in every Italian restaurant.
Pastalpina’s wholemeal pasta is made ex-
clusively with organic, freshly-milled grains.
The flour used is regionally-sourced, in
part from high up in the mountains, using
durum wheat, buckwheat, spelt and rye.
Pastalpina also uses einkorn, a primitive
form of wheat which has a low yield (as
its name implies, just one corn per ear),
but due to its special protein composition,
it’s a good alternative for people with intolerances to other forms of wheat.
Also ‘regiokorn’ is used in the making of
Pastalpina pasta, a cereal grown exclusively
in South Tyrol, primarily in the Vinschgau,
Pustertal, Eisacktal and Badia valleys. The
last decades saw a constant decline in the
local cultivation of cereals, but thanks to
the TIS Innovation Park’s ‘Regiokorn’ project,

Robert Pan nasce infatti come scultore, uscito dall’Acca-
demia delle Belle Arti di Urbino. Da giovane ha iniziato a
lavorare con cera, vetro e oro fino ad arrivare alle resine.

Lo studio è anche spazio vitale. Una roulotte airstream color alluminio, oggetto cult degli anni 50, è la stanza per gli
ospiti. In un angolo ci sono divani, un letto, un frigorifero
americano e un lavandino.
E perché gli Stati Uniti? Perché Miami? „Una simpatia diventata amicizia e poi ragioni tecniche”, spiega Pan. “Ho
bisogno del calore per poter lavorare bene le resine.” Ecco
che allora Pan lavora da ottobre a giugno a Miami e in
estate nel suo studio di Bolzano. Anche quello non proprio

che emanano la forza del colore e della materia. Belle anche da toccare. In America Robert Pan collabora con due
gallerie importanti ed è presente in entrambe le grandi
fiere dell’arte: New York e Miami.
E anche per quanto riguarda l’american way of life, Pan ha
trovato la sua dimensione. “Si dice che gli americani sia-
no superficiali; per me questa sorta di indeterminatezza
corrisponde ad una grande libertà. Mi sento libero nell’anonimato.” Vive in modo appartato a Miami così come fa
anche a Bolzano. Si sente radicato a Bolzano ma usa Mia-
mi, un vero melting pot di diverse culture, per procurarsi
nuovi stimoli. Una città che non potrà però mai sostituirsi
a Bolzano. Volutamente Pan ha chiesto solo un “visto 01”, il
lasciapassare che dà diritto agli artisti di vivere e lavorare
negli Stati Uniti per tre anni. Cosa verrà dopo sarà questione solo di ispirazione.

The art studio in Miami is also where he lives: there’s a

living-room, with a sofa, a bed, a washbasin and an American fridge in the corner ...
Why the USA and why Miami? “My liking for the city
developed into a friendship, but there are also technical
reasons, as I need the warmth to work with resins.” So

materials, and to establish new contacts.
It wasn’t long before he was successful. Pan’s layered
works of art speak an international, an inter-continental
language. Blue. Red. Orange. White. And everything in
between. Intensive. Bright. Smooth. Hands-on. He works
for two large art-galleries and his work is to be found at
the two important American art fairs: Miami-Art and New
York Art, and is networked with many large art collections.
And the American way of life? “People say Americans are
superficial – but I feel well in this non-comittal detachment. I feel free. He lives a bit reclusively in both Miami
and Bolzano. But somehow Miami is different. “My roots
are in Bolzano but I seek new impulses and that is what
a melting-pot like Miami has to ofer.” A city that will not
take the place of Bolzano. Pan has an O1 artist’s visa. He
can live and work there for 3 years. What happens afterwards only time will tell.
