The Fish That Can Wish
It is a dark night when the animals meet at the pond in the forest.
There is Peggy the giraffe, Gary the goat, Funny the fox, Rita the rat, Molly the mouse,
Fred the fly, Kitty the kangaroo, Dolly the dove, many ants and llamas.
The bear had invited them to his party.
“But you have to wear some clothes,” he had said.
They all want to go to the party, but they don’t have any clothes.
So they sit at the pond and cry. They are all so sad.
“I have no pullover,” cries the giraffe.
“I have no trousers,” cries the mouse.
“No jackets for us,” shout the ants.
Flippy, the fish, who lives in the pond, hears all this.
So he swims to the animals and says: “Friends, don’t be sad. I can help you.
I’m a fish that can wish. Now stand in a line and I’ll wish some clothes for you.”
He makes a big jump, calls “1 – 2 – 3, I’m a fish that can wish!” and away he is.
The animals look at each other and start to laugh. This is what they see:
the giraffe with a scarf,
the goat with a coat,
the fox with socks,
the rat with a hat,
the mouse with a blouse,
the fly with a tie,
the kangaroo with a shoe,
the dove with a glove,
the ants with pants and
the llamas with pyjamas.

Now they are so happy. They shout: “Thank you very much, Flippy!”
When Mr Bear sees them he laughs and says: “You look great!”
