Once part of the palace that is now the Musee de Marrakech, this luxury Moroccan
villa was renovated in Art Deco style and decorated with period artefacts and
memorabilia. The Marrakech Medina is a mediaeval walled city, and this rental villa is
located in the heart of the old town in a district with top attractions and the Ben Yussef
Madrassa. The world famous Jemma Al Fnaa square is just a twelve minute walk - if
you can resist the vibrant shops along the way! Easily accessible on foot you will find a
labyrinth of souks, intermingled with palaces and ancient monuments, galleries and
museums, cafes and restaurants. A short taxi ride from the Medina lays the new town
of Guiliez.
A former home of vaudeville star, actress and civil rights pioneer Josephine Baker, the
private villa for rent is a celebration of the human spirit. The open 'Bhou' style
Moroccan sitting room can accommodate 19 people, and the ground floor dining room
has a spectacular feature fireplace. The dining room has full length mirrors and
doubles as a dance space. Best of all is the Riad's hammam and massage suite, the
ultimate Marrakech treat just a few short steps from the comfort of your room. You can
experience your very own private candlelit sauna. Enjoy the smells of the traditional
Moroccan soaps and oils while being tended to by your personal hammam lady. The
kitchen has an alcove seating area where you can watch Moroccan cuisine being
prepared.
You will love the familiarity of the villa with seven guest rooms all with en suite
bathrooms. All rooms can be double or twin; most can be triples making the villa
