1. Einführung
e-COUNT PagePRO ist eine Software/Softwaredienst zur Erfassung von Zählerständen im
Netzwerk befindlicher Drucker und Multifunktionssysteme. e-COUNT PagePRO kann auf
einem beliebigen Windows PC installiert werden. Aufgrund der notwendigen
Konfigurationen und Eingaben, während der Installation, muß der Anwender über
Administrationsrechte verfügen.
1.1 Zielsetzung
Die einfach und schnell anzuwendende Software reduziert den zeitlichen und personellen
Aufwand für die regelmäßige Zählerstandserfassung vertragsgebundener Drucker und
Multifunktionssysteme auf ein Minimum, da die Erfassung serverbasierend mittels e-COUNT
PagePRO erfolgt. Durch die einmalige Einrichtung und Lizensierung der Software wird
nachfolgend die zeitintensive Erfassung der Zählerstände vor Ort eingespart.
e-COUNT PagePRO kann das Toshiba Softwareprodukt EFMS nicht ersetzen, da
Funktionen wie erweitertes Reporting, Volumens-/Abteilungsauswertungen,
Cloningfunktionen, FirmwareUpdate usw. nicht zur Verfügung stehen.
1.2 Funktionen
Durch einen SNMP basierenden Netzwerk-Scan werden sämtliche Zählerstände (Druck,
Kopie und Scan) sowie Angaben zu Hersteller, Modell, MAC Adresse und Serien Nr.
ermittelt und per E-Mail für die Zählerstandserfassung versendet. Der Anwender kann dabei
frei definieren, welcher IP-Adressbereich und welche Daten erkannter Drucker und
Multifunktionssysteme übermittelt werden. Zusätzlich wird vom Anwender definiert, wann
eine regelmäßige Erfassung der definierten Systeme erfolgt bzw. die ermittelten
Zählerstände regelmäßig an den Fachhandelspartner übermittelt werden.

2. Installation der Software
2.1 Setup von e-COUNT PagePRO
Nach dem Entpacken des gezippten e-COUNT PagePRO Containers wird eine Windows
Setup Routine zur Verfügung gestellt.
Beim Start von e-COUNT PagePRO Setup.exe erscheint ein
Installation-Wizard, der automatisch in englischer Sprache startet. Dieser führt durch die
gesamte Installationsroutine. Nach erfolgreicher Installation, wechselt die Software
automatisch auf die im Betriebssystem aktivierte Sprache.
Die Lizenzvereinbarungen müssen für eine erfolgreiche Registrierung durch Klicken der
Taste [I Agree] bestätigt werden.

3. Lizensierung und Aktivierung von e-COUNT PagePRO
3.1
Erster Start von e-COUNT PagePRO
Die Konfigurationsoberfläche ist über das Windows Startmenu erreichbar. Der e-COUNT
PagePRO Manager kann nur mit administrativen Rechten gestartet werden, damit wird eine
"versehentliche" Fehlbedienung ausgeschlossen.
Nach erfolgreicher Konfiguration kann das UI (User Interface) geschlossen werden.
Der e-COUNT PagePRO Dienst zur regelmäßigen Erfassung der Zählerstände läuft im
Hintergrund weiter. Wird der Rechner, auf dem die Software installiert ist, neu gestartet,
wird der e-COUNT PagePRO Dienst automatisch mitgestartet.
HINWEIS:
Bevor Sie hier Ihre Daten für die Lizenzierung eingeben müssen Sie im
Bereich [Netzwerk] gewährleisten, dass Sie einen SMTP-Zugang zum
Versenden von Emails eingerichtet haben.

3.2 SMTP-Einstellungen im Bereich Netzwerk
Email Server (SMTP):
Der Kunde hat eine eigene Email-Lösung im Einsatz. Die Kommunikationsdaten werden wie
folgt eingetragen.
[Server]:
Name des Mailservers für ausgehende Mails, kompletter Domain
Name oder IP-Adresse ist erforderlich.
[Server erfordert Authentifizierung]:
In der Regel ist es notwendig, dies zu aktivieren, damit nur
authentifizierte User Mails versenden können.
[Port]:
Dies ist der TCP-Port, überwelchen kommuniziert wird. Bei
unverschlüsselt ist dies 25, bei verschlüsselt sind es entweder 465,
587 oder 995, dies wird vom Server vorgegeben.
[Benutzername]:
Benutzername bzw. Emailadresse des Benutzers.
[Passwort]:
Passwort des Benutzer.
[Testnachricht versenden]:
Testen, ob die vorhandene Konfiguration funktioniert.

3.3 Lizensierung
Durch Klicken auf das Register [Lizenz] öffnet sich der Lizenzbereich.
1.) Der Installationscode wird bei der Software-Installation erstellt

5.) Lizenzanforderung senden…
Füllen Sie bitte alle Felder vollständig mit den geforderten Daten aus und betätigen
anschließen den Button [Speichern] und anschließend [Anforderung senden].
1.) Nach kurzer Zeit erhält der Kunde zunächst eine Bestätigungs-E-Mail für die LizenzAnforderung. Danach erhält der Kunde eine Antwort-E-Mail mit der Lizenzdatei in Form
einer .xml Datei. Diese ist lokal abzuspeichern (z.B. auf dem Desktop).

2.) Im Dialogfeld „Lizenzdatei Laden“ ist durch die Pfadangabe auf die Datei zu verweisen.
3.) Damit ist die Lizenzierung erfolgreich abgeschlossen.
Erhält der Kunde nicht innerhalb weniger Minuten eine Rückmeldung, ist der jeweilige
Toshiba Fachhandelspartner zu kontakten.

4. Benutzereinstellungen
4.1 Netzwerk
Über den IP Adressbereich wird definiert, in welchem Bereich im Netzwerk nach Druckern
und Multifunktionssystemen gesucht werden soll.
HINWEIS:
Für die erfolgreiche Identifizierung aller im Netzwerk befindlichen Ausgabesysteme muss das SNMP-Protokoll aktiv sein! Nur mit Hilfe dieses Protokolls
können die Ausgabesysteme im Netzwerk erkannt und ausgelesen werden.
[IP-Adressbereich]:
Durch Anwahl des IP-Adressbereiches wird der zu durchsuchende
Netzwerkbereich definiert.
[Hinzufügen]:
Die definierten IP-Adressbereiche werden mit dem Button
[Hinzufügen] in den Suchbereich aufgenommen. Diese werden
gespeichert und müssen beim nächsten Start der Software nicht
wieder eingegeben werden.
[Entfernen]:
Mit dem Button [Entfernen] können definierte IP-Adressbereiche
gelöscht werden.
[Import]:
Mit dem Button [Import] können definierte IP-Adressbereiche als Datei
importiert werden. Das Format der Textdatei sollte lauten:
192.168.2.1-192.168.2.254 10.0.0.34-10.0.0.34
Für einzelne IPs bitte vor und nach dem Bindestrich die gleiche IPAdresse eingeben.

[SNMP]:
Mit dem [Community-Name] wird das Kennwort für die Geräteabfrage
festgelegt. Standardmäßig ist hier [public] eingetragen. Dieser kann
über den Button [Entfernen] geändert werden. Es können mehrere
Kennwörter definiert werden. Dies kann erforderlich sein, wenn nicht
alle Geräte im Netzwerk das gleiche Kennwort verwenden.
4.2 Konfiguration
Insgesamt müssen drei verschiedene Zyklen eingestellt werden. Der erste Zyklus ist stets
die Gerätesuche. Hier wird definiert, zu welchem Zeitpunkt das Netzwerk durchsucht wird.
Die gefundenen Drucksysteme werden im Programm eingetragen. Der zweite Zyklus ist die
Geräteabfrage, hier wird definiert, wann die Zählerstände abgefragt werden. Diese Abfrage
basiert auf der vorherigen Gerätesuche. Der dritte Zyklus ist die Versendung des Berichtes.
Es wird ein Report generiert, welcher per Mail versendet wird.
Bei der Erstinstallation muss erst einmal jeweils ein Zyklus nach dem anderen durchgeführt
werden, um eine einwandfrei Funktion zu gewährleisten. Danach bitte die Zyklen nach
Vorgabe einstellen.
Zusätzlich muss beachtet werden, dass je nach Leistungsfähigkeit des Kundennetzwerkes
als auch in Abhängigkeit zu der Anzahl der abzufragenden Drucksysteme, es zu erhöhten
Verarbeitungszeiten kommen kann. Deshalb ist es vorteilhaft, die Abfrageintervalle nicht zu
eng zu definieren.
[Gerätesuche]:
Wann und wie oft wird das Netz nach neuen Systemen durchsucht
wird; die neu gefundenen Systeme werden dann automatisch mit in
den automatischen Zählerstandsbericht aufgenommen.
[Geräteauswahl]:
Nach welchen Systemen gesucht werden soll (z.B. nur ToshibaSysteme, keine Fremdprodukte)…
[Optionen]:
Mit dem Button [Entfernen] können definierte ID-Adressbereiche
gelöscht werden.

[Zeit]:
Für die Zeitangabe ist immer eine 4-stellige Angabe zu machen z.B.
09:30 oder 17:15
[Geräteabfrage]:
Aktivierung der Übernahme von Adressänderungen und automatische
Abfrage ( Gerätename, Seriennummer, Standort, …).
[Speichern]:
Speichern der vorgenommenen Einstellungen
[Schließen]:
Das Schließen des UI ( User-Interface) beendet die Ansicht, nicht
jedoch den Dienst zur Erfassung der Zahlerstände.
Toshiba empfiehlt für die Gerätesuche und Geräteabfrage einen wöchentlichen Intervall.
4.3 Berichte
[Empfänger Email-Adresse]: Die Empfangsadresse eingetragen.
[Zyklus]:
Definition, in welchem Zyklus die Berichtserstellung erfolgen soll.
[Berichtsformat]:
Der Zählerstandsreport wird im XML-Dateiformat generiert.
[Betreff der Email]:
Der Zählerstandsreport wird inkl. eines Zeitstempels gesendet.
[Geräte /Zähler anzeigen]:Gerätedatenbank mit Erfassungsdatum, Datum der letzten
erfolgreichen Abfrage, Fehlerhafte Abfragen und weitere Optionen.
Toshiba empfiehlt einen wöchentlichen Zählerstandsbericht generieren zu lassen.

HINWEIS:
Aufgrund der digitalen Zählerstandserfassung und des jeweils genutzten
Betriebssystems kann nicht ausgeschlossen werden, dass nicht alle
vertragsgebundenen Drucker / Multifunktionssysteme zum Zeitpunkt des
Scans erfasst werden. Hierfür kann es folgende Gründe geben:
Drucker / Multifunktionssysteme sind zum Zeitpunkt der Erfassung ausgeschaltet
oder werden gewartet (keine Netzwerkverbindung)
Individuelle Netzwerkkonfigurationen (Switche, Router, Firewall) oder die genutzte
Betriebssystemkonfiguration verhindern eine Erfassung der Ausgabesysteme.
Kommt es somit zu Differenzen bei der Zählerstandsabrechnung (fehlende Zählerstände
vertragsgebundener Drucker / Multifunktionssysteme), kann ein verkürzter Abfrageintervall
Abhilfe schaffen. Generell kann der Kunde zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt nochmals separat
aufgefordert werden, entsprechende Zählerstände zu übermitteln. Diese sind dann
gegebenenfalls manuell zu erfassen bzw. zu übermitteln.

4.4 Benachrichtigungen
Aktivitäten können zusätzlich protokolliert werden, in dem man diese als Email versendet.
5. Update von e-COUNT PagePRO
Wenn ein kostenfreies Update der Software zur Verfügung steht, ist die alte Version
zunächst zu deinstallieren über die Systemsteuerung -> Programm entfernen. Mit der
Installation der neuen Version bleiben die Lizensierung und die individuelle
Konfiguration aber erhalten.
6. Fehlerbehebung
6.1 e-COUNT PagePRO Lizenzschlüssel wird nicht übermittelt:
Die Sicherheitseinstellungen für den Eingang von E-Mail´s verhindern die Übermittlung
des Registrierschlüssels. Erhalten Sie nicht innerhalb weniger Minuten eine
Nachricht überprüfen Sie bitte Ihren SPAM-Posteingang.
6.2 e-COUNT PagePRO Manager startet nicht:
Überprüfen Sie, ob der Dienst gestartet ist

6.3 e-COUNT PagePRO ermittelt keine Scan-Ergebnisse:
Prüfen Sie die Einstellungen für die Scan-Optionen. Es ist sicher zu stellen, dass das
SNMP-Protokoll für alle zu überwachenden Drucker/Multifunktionssysteme aktiv ist.
Ein Anti-Virus Programm oder eine Firewall kann unter Umständen eine erfolgreiche
SNMP-Kommunikation mit den Ausgabesystemen verhindern.
6.4 e-COUNT PagePRO Fehlersuche:
Log Einträge der Windows eigenen Ereignisanzeige. Sehr nützlich zur Überwachung der
korrekten Funktion und Fehleranalyse im Supportfall.

7. Lizenzvereinbarung
The following End User License Agreement defines the terms of use between TOSHIBA TEC
Germany Imaging Systems GmbH (including its employees, agents and sub-contractors)
and any user of the TOSHIBA TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH e-COUNT Page
application ("Product").
If enabled the e-COUNT Page Pro application will automatically generate and send a report
e-mail to the email-address the Dealer who is servicing the MFP (“Dealer”) has given to you
and that you entered into the free text field. You will receive a copy of such report e-mail to
any e-mail address defined by you. The report e-mail will contain the customer ID assigned
to you along with meter readings and device information such as vendor, model, MAC
address, serial number, date of counter collection ("Data") collected from the printers and/or
MFPs within your network that have been selected for reporting.
The application requires registration by e-mail at [email protected]
regardless of whether you have acquired the product from TOSHIBA or a Dealer.
Data that you will provide to Toshiba TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH during
registration will be stored and used. These Data will be kept confidential. Toshiba TEC
Germany Imaging Systems GmbH does not and will not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer
personally identifiable information that you provide during registration and will treat such
Data in accordance with applicable data protection provisions.
End User License Agreement
Product: e-COUNT Page Pro application
This License Agreement is made between you (either an individual or an entity) and
TOSHIBA TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH having its principal place of business at
Carl-Schurz-Str. 7, 41460 Neuss, Germany with respect to the Product. Installation of the
Product constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions of this Agreement. If you
do not agree with this Agreement, do not install copy or use the Product.
1. Grant of License
TOSHIBA TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH grants to you a limited, perpetual,
personal, and non-exclusive license to install and use the Product on one (1) computer. You
may not use the Product on more than one computer in the same network.
You will not make any copies of the Product other than a single back-up copy for archival
purposes.
If the Product is labeled as "Not-For-Resale" or "NFR", then, notwithstanding any other
sections of this Agreement, you may only use the Product for demonstration, verification or
testing purposes.
If the Product is labeled as "Upgrade", you must be properly licensed to use the Product
listed by TOSHIBA TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH as being eligible for the upgrade

in order to use the Product. The Product labeled as "Upgrade" replaces the Product that
formed the basis for your eligibility for the Upgrade.
2. Restrictions
You may not sublicense all or part of the Product, or any right granted hereunder, to any
third party. You may, however, transfer your rights under this License Agreement on a
permanent basis provided that you transfer this Agreement, all copies of the Product and all
documentation related thereto without retaining any copies, and the recipient agrees to be
bound by the terms of this Agreement. Any transfer of the Product must include the most
recent update and all prior versions.
Furthermore, the recipient must be expressly advised that the Product is intended to be
used with Toshiba multifunctional devices and/ or printers only.
3. Reverse Engineering
You agree that you will not attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, modify translate or
disassemble the Product in whole or in part, unless expressly permitted by mandatory law.
4. Intellectual Property Rights
The title and intellectual property rights in and to the Product and accompanying written
materials will remain the exclusive property of TOSHIBA TEC Germany Imaging Systems
GmbH and/or its suppliers, and you will not acquire any rights to the Product and
accompanying written materials, except the license expressly set forth herein.
5. Limited Warranty
The Product is supplied "as is". TOSHIBA TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH warrants
that the Product can be reasonably operated and is free of business critical bugs. However,
Toshiba TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH does not warrant that the Product (a) will
carry no errors; (b) will meet any specific requirements not expressly warranted or (c) will
work properly when used concurrently with any other hardware or software.
Except as expressly provided herein TOSHIBA TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH
makes no other warranties, either expressed or implied, regarding the Product, its
merchantability, or its fitness for any particular purpose and the entire risk as to the quality
and the performance of the Product rests with you.
If Toshiba TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH breaches the above warranty it may, at its
discretion, remedy any failure of the Product by providing you with program corrections
and/or instructions as to how such failure may be avoided during regular use. If the Product
has been provided to you free of charge and any remedy of a failure is unreasonably
onerous for Toshiba TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH then Toshiba TEC Germany
Imaging Systems GmbH may elect that you discontinue the further use of the Product.
Toshiba TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH shall have no liability to remedy a failure of
the Product if such failure arises as a result of (a) use or handling of the Product otherwise
than in accordance with the manuals, including but not limited to Operator's Manual, User's
Guide, and/or incorrect or careless handling or use of the Product; (b) any cause which
prevents the Product from operating or functioning correctly which arises from or is
attributable to either acts, omissions, events or accidents beyond the reasonable control of
TOSHIBA TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH including without limitation acts of God,

war, riot, civil commotion, malicious or deliberate damage, fire, flood, or storm, natural
calamity, earthquakes, abnormal voltage or other disasters; (c) use in any operating
environment or with settings other than those recommended by TOSHIBA TEC Germany
Imaging Systems GmbH; or (d) use of the Product with hardware, goods or software which
TOSHIBA TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH has not directly or indirectly supplied.
6. Limitation of Liability
Unless otherwise stated in this Contract, the contractual and non-contractual liability of
Toshiba TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH is based on the relevant statutory
provisions.
For damages caused by intent or gross negligence or under applicable product liability acts
Toshiba TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH shall be liable irrespective of the legal basis.
For damages caused by simple negligence Toshiba TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH
is only liable
(i) for damages resulting from death or personal injury; and
(ii) provided that you have paid for the Product, for damages resulting from the breach of
essential contractual duties (cardinal duties); in this case, the liability of Toshiba TEC
Germany Imaging Systems GmbH is limited to foreseeable damages that are typically
associated with this kind of agreement. An essential contractual duty is a duty whose
compliance is of particular importance for achieving the contractual purpose..
All other claims of you based on contract or tort are excluded. For this reason, Toshiba TEC
Germany Imaging Systems GmbH is not liable for consequential or indirect damages, for
loss of profits or other financial loss of you. To the extent to which the liability of Toshiba
TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH is excluded or limited, this shall also apply in
respect of the personal liability of its employees, representatives and agents.
For the avoidance of doubt, TOSHIBA TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH shall not be
liable for any loss, cost, expense, claim, or damage whatsoever caused by any of the events
described in the last paragraph of section 5 above.
In any event, TOSHIBA TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH's sole obligation or liability
under this Agreement, regardless of the nature of the events that resulted in such an
obligation or liability, shall not exceed the purchase price originally paid for the Product. The
liability according to the Product Liability Act shall remain unaffected.
7. Unintended Usage
You acknowledge that the Product is neither intended nor warranted for usage in system
that requires extraordinarily high quality and/or reliability or a malfunction or failure of which
may cause loss of human life or bodily injury ("Unintended Usage"). Unintended Usage
includes nuclear facility, airplane navigation or communication system, mass transportation
system, traffic control system, weapon system, medical instruments.
8. Term
This Agreement shall remain in effect on a perpetual basis. If the Product has been provided
to you free of charge then TOSHIBA TEC Germany Imaging Systems GmbH shall have the

right to terminate this Agreement immediately if you fail to comply with any term or
condition of this Agreement. Within one (1) month after termination, you shall return the
Product and accompanying written materials to TOSHIBA TEC Germany Imaging Systems
GmbH, together with all copies in any form. Any further rights of Toshiba TEC Germany
Imaging Systems GmbH shall remain unaffected thereby.
9. Export Control
This Agreement involves products and/or technical data that may be controlled under
export control laws and regulations of the United States, Australia, Japan and any other
country. You agree to comply with such applicable export laws and regulations, and shall
not, directly or indirectly, export or re-export Products or any part thereof, any information,
technical data, or any direct product thereof, to any destination or country restricted or
prohibited by such laws and regulations, unless properly authorized by the appropriate
government authorities.
10. Severability
If any provision of this End User License Agreement is held by a court of competent
jurisdiction or an administrative authority of either international or national jurisdiction to be
void, invalid or unenforceable, the remaining portions of this Agreement shall remain in full
force and effect. In such a case the parties hereto will cooperate in the substitution of the
void, invalid or unenforceable provision by a provision that most closely approximates the
economic intent of the invalid or unenforceable provision.
11. Governing Law
This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws
of Germany excluding the applicability of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for
the International Sale of Goods. Exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising out of
or in connection with this Agreement shall be the place of business of Toshiba TEC
Germany Imaging Systems GmbH.
