Beim Bachelorstudiengang Management & Recht handelt es sich um ein qualitätsorientiertes, internationalen Ansprüchen genügendes
und interdisziplinär ausgerichtetes Hochschulstudium an der Schnittstelle zweier etablierter Wissenschaftsgebiete. Das auf einer
fundierten Bedarfsanalyse und der Entwicklungsarbeit eines ausgesuchten Experten/-innenteams basierende Hochschulstudium
bietet eine ausgewogene Kombination von managementorientierten und juristischen Schwerpunkten, welche jeweils mit starkem
Praxisbezug vermittelt werden.
Die Vermittlung einer hohen Fremdsprachenkompetenz, das optionale Auslandssemester, Fallstudien, Projektarbeiten und Praktika
fördern internationale Handlungskompetenz und eröffnen den Studierenden hervorragende Perspektiven.

The study program Management & Law is a quality-oriented, interdisciplinary higher education program designed
to meet international standards, and located at the interface between two established scientific disciplines. It is
based on an in-depth requirements analysis and the development efforts of a team of selected experts, and offers
a balanced combination of management-oriented and legal focal subjects hand in hand with a thoroughly practical
teaching approach.
Communicative competence in foreign languages, an optional semester abroad, case studies, project assignments
and practical internships encourage our students to widen their scope of action in an international environment and
offer excellent career perspectives.

Während sich in den Wirtschaftswissenschaften vor allem die betriebswirtschaftlichen und managementorientierten Fächer stark ent wickelt haben und eine zunehmende Verrechtlichung der Materie festzustellen ist, sind in den Rechtswissenschaften verstärkt wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Kompetenzen gefragt. Überlagert wird diese Entwicklung von einer starken Spezialisierung und Internationalisierung beider Wissenschaftsgebiete. Damit entsteht ein völlig neues, zukunftsorientiertes Aufgabengebiet an der Schnittstelle
von Wirtschaft und Recht, welches den Absolventen/-innen hervorragende berufliche Chancen eröffnet.
Die Absolventen/-innen dieses interdisziplinär ausgerichteten Studiengangs besitzen aufgrund ihrer bereichsübergreifenden Ausbildung

The past few decades have been characterized by a fundamental change in the education curricula of both the legal
and the economic sciences. Economics, particularly business administration and management-oriented subjects have
experienced a considerable development accompanied by an increasing juridification, whereas in law, economic
competencies are gaining in importance. This trend is eclipsed by a high degree of specialization and internationalization in both disciplines. As a result of these developments, an entirely new and future-oriented field of activity is
being created right at the interface between economics and law, offering excellent career prospects to graduates.
Owing to the strong emphasis on interdisciplinary education, graduates of this study program possess excellent
competencies both for addressing legal issues in an economic context and for developing business- and management-oriented solutions in a legal context. Graduates are therefore particularly equipped for a career in areas where
economic and legal issues are interrelated, and innovative and interdisciplinary approaches are essential.

The study program Management & Law comprises 6 semesters of 18 weeks each, providing courses totalling 112 semester credit units.
Winter semesters start in end of September and continue until February; summer semesters start in March and end in July.
Attendance is generally compulsory for all courses. During the 6th semester students will complete a professional internship of not less
than 13 weeks.
The language of instruction is generally German; individual courses and exams, however, may be given in other languages.
The main focus of the program is put on a sound education in business administration with a strong emphasis on commercial law, comprising especially knowledge of the latest developments in economics and law, an integral comprehension of entrepreneurial processes
and the development of profound management skills. Particular emphasis is put on creating an awareness of legal issues and contexts,
and on the interdisciplinary evaluation of problems from both a legal and an economic perspective.
Personality development and the acquisition of social skills are essential goals of the study program. Graduates have a good command
of communication, negotiation and presentation techniques, and of the organization of team processes. Project management, information and communication technologies and an excellent command of foreign languages are other major foci of the study program,
complemented by international aspects, case studies, project assignments and internships to guarantee excellent opportunities on the
job market for the graduates.

Das Bachelorstudium Management & Recht umfasst 6 Semester mit jeweils 18 Vorlesungswochen und sieht Lehrveranstaltungen im
Ausmaß von insgesamt 112 Semesterwochenstunden vor. Das Winter semester dauert von Ende September bis Februar; das Sommersemester beginnt im März und erstreckt sich bis Juli.
Es besteht grundsätzlich Anwesenheitspflicht in allen Lehrveranstaltungen. Im 6. Semester findet ein mindestens 13-wöchiges Berufspraktikum statt.
Die Lehrveranstaltungen werden überwiegend in deutscher Sprache abgehalten, einzelne Lehrveranstaltungen und Prüfungen können
jedoch auch in anderen Sprachen durchgeführt werden.
Der Schwerpunkt des Studiums liegt in einer fundierten betriebswirtschaftlichen Ausbildung mit zusätz lichem wirtschaftsrechtlichen
Fokus. Das Studium umfasst insbesondere die Beherrschung neuester wirtschafts- und ergänzender rechtswissenschaftlicher Erkenntnisse, ein ganzheitliches Verständnis von Unternehmensprozessen sowie die Erarbeitung profunder Managementfähigkeiten. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt gilt der interdisziplinären Behandlung von Problemstellungen aus juristischer und wirtschaftlicher Sicht.
Persönlichkeitsentwicklung und der Erwerb von Social Skills bilden ein wesentliches Anliegen des Studiums. Absol venten/-innen beherrschen Kommunikations-, Verhandlungs- und Präsentationstechniken ebenso wie die Gestaltung von Teamprozessen, Projektmanagement, Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien sowie Fremdsprachen. Internationale Aspekte, Fallstudien, Projektarbeiten und
Praktika runden das Bachelorstudium ab und sind Garanten für erstklassige Chancen auf dem Arbeitsmarkt.

THE PROGRAM ACCEPTS
1. Individuals with a university entrance qualification for a social, business or legal sciences study program
(e.g. school-leaving exam, appropriate university entrance equivalency exam, etc.).
2. Individuals without a university entrance qualification, but with relevant professional qualification, as long as one of the following
prerequisites is fulfilled:

successful completion of a three-year vocational middle school
•
successful completion of a dual education program in a relevant profession
Furthermore, individuals having relevant professional qualification without a university entrance qualification must also take examinations in German, English and Mathematics. The level of the exams is equal to those of the university entrance equivalency exam for
social, business and legal sciences study programs.

Applications for admission to the Management & Law study program must be submitted in the form of a standardized application form accompanied by the required documents within the period stipulated. There are 50 places
available each year.
If the number of applicants exceeds the number of places, admission is granted based upon the following criteria:
1. CAREER BACKGROUND 20%
The applicant’s professional background is considered on the basis of the submitted application materials. Particular attention is paid to education and certificates, general professional development and position (duties,
responsibilities, etc.) as well as academic and professional goals.
2. WRITTEN EXAM 30%
The written entrance exam tests the general knowledge of the applicants, as well as their knowledge of English,
Mathematics / Statistics and the Fundamentals of Business / Law.
3. INTERVIEW 50%
The interview is conducted by a commission and gives applicants the opportunity to present themselves personally, to expand on information provided in the application materials and to explain their academic and professional goals.
Applicants are informed as soon as possible regarding their admission. Applicants who are not admitted due to
the limited number of places are put on a waiting list and can – if they are still interested – be admitted if a place
becomes available.

Das kommissionelle Bewerbungsgespräch gibt den Studienbewerber/-innen Gelegenheit, sich persönlich zu
präsentieren, die in den Bewerbungsunterlagen angeführten Informationen näher zu erörtern und zu den angestrebten Studien- und Berufszielen persönlich Stellung zu nehmen.
Die Bewerber/-innen werden ehestmöglich über ihre Aufnahme verständigt. Bewerber/-innen, die wegen Platzmangels nicht aufgenommen werden können, werden in eine Warteliste aufgenommen und können – sofern
weiter Interesse an einem Studienplatz besteht – im Falle frei werdender Studienplätze nachrücken.
Für jeden Studienbeginn ist ein neues Aufnahmeverfahren erforderlich. Eine bevorzugte Berücksichtigung von
