erryway Mattress Company is the commercial division of
Brownies Mattress Direct which caters to the accommodation
industry throughout New Zealand. We work with a wide variety
of clients within the industry including hotels, motels, rest
homes, backpackers and university housing, as well as B&Bs and
boutique guest houses.
Ferryway Mattress Company specialises in manufacturing the
ultimate in quality, durable commercial mattress and base sets.
We have a range of flexible options available to deliver the best
sleep solution to suit your individual business needs.

more polished look and eliminate the need for a valance.
• Any finished bed height is achievable to accommodate existing
furnishings and bedding. Required height must be advised when ordering.

With our range of bed bug treated ticking options, you and your
guests can rest assured to have a happy, healthy night’s sleep.
Sometimes your guests may unknowingly bring more along
with them than just their luggage. Bed bugs have been known
to hitchhike on luggage or clothing and can pose the threat of
an infestation in your otherwise immaculate suites.
Bed bugs are blood-sucking human parasites that can be
found worldwide. The best method to prevent these creepy
crawlers from setting up residence in your establishment is
to furnish your rooms with mattress & base sets covered in
one of our bed bug treated ticking options.
We have two different bed bug treated ticking options BugBlock - FR (Fire Retardant) and BugShield®. Both ticking
options work by killing off all bed bugs introduced into the
bedding area within 48 to 96 hours therefore preventing an
infestation; bed bugs must have 3 minutes of direct contact with
the treated textile for successful eradication. These textiles show
an excellent degree of effectiveness particularly
because reproduction is successfully blocked
at an early stage.
BugShield® is a commercial grade
ticking that has been treated with
Permethrin which has been medically
tested and meets the strict OEKO-TEX®
Standard 100*, thus guaranteed skin-safe
and without hazardous substances.
BugBlock - FR is commercial grade
ticking that has a luxurious soft-knit feel
and has been treated with Sanitized® AM
23-24 which has been dermatologically
tested and meets the strict OEKO-TEX®
Standard 100* for classes I through IV.

Bed Legs
We offer a selection of bed legs to suit various height
requirements, flooring types and style.
All of our castors and glides have an 8mm metal thread. We
also have 50mm castors and glides available.
Bases Built to Last
• All of our commercial bases are made with sustainably
grown, kiln dried NZ Southland Beech – a very durable timber
which is a much stronger option than Pine.
• All of our commercial bases are both glued and stapled for
extra strength.
• We are so confident in the superior quality and durability of
our products, that all of our commercial bases have a Lifetime
Guarantee against squeaking and breaking.

a wide thread diameter (approx 38mm) and
range in height from 50mm up to 250mm.
