Greetings of peace!
The Teachers Dignity Coalition (TDC) in coordination with the Save the ChildrenPhilippines will hold a National Seminar-Workshop on Positive Discipline on May 2124, 2014 at the Oblate Missionary Center, Mangga St., Mapayapa Village 1, Capitol
Site, Quezon City. This will also coincide with the National Council meeting of the
organization.
With the theme: "Positive Discipline-for the learners, for the teachers" the activity
which is endorsed thru DepEd Advisory 208, s. 2014 aims to:
1. equip the teacher-leaders with knowledge and skills on children's rights and the
principles of positive discipline;
2. develop the rights-abased classroom teaching and positive discipline approach
among the participants;
3. provide the teachers with information on pertinent issues of education sector and
to solicit more proposals for a better and improved education system.
This forum would gather some 80 teacher-leaders, school administrators ,and other
education personnel. A minimal registration fee of PI, 000,00 shall be collected from
each participant to defray the expenses for the NC meeting^ such shall be sourced from
the local funds or any available school funds, transportation expenses shall be
refunded by the Save the Children, provided that particfronts will submit the actual
bus of boat tickets. The secretariat shall book the flight of participants from Palawan,
Mindanao and Visayas (except for Samar). Taxis and other fares from house to
terminal to the venue and vise versa shall be the counterpart of participants. Thus,
those coming from the NCR shall pay for their own transportation.
In this light, we would like to formally ask your office to issue a memorandum
endorsing the official participation of selected teachers, employees and administrators
for this event and the registration and other transportation expenses be charged against
any available local iunds, SEF or LGU sponsorship.
Billeting and registration will start at 1 :OOPM of May 21 and the formal opening of the
program will immediately follow, check-out time will be at 1:OOPM of May 24 but
sessions may extend up to 4:OOPM. For inquiries, participants may communicate with
Mr. Allen Carl Bartolome at 0918-3566370 or Ms. Darlene Loro at 0949-7444499.
Attached is the list of expected participants we submitted to the DepEd Central Office.

The Teachers Dignity Coalition (TDC), in coordination with the Save the
Children-Philippines will hold the National Seminar-Workshop on Positive Discip/ine
from May 21 to 24, 2014 at the Oblates Missionary Center, Mangga St., Mapayapa
Village 1, Capitol Site, Quezon City. This activity will coincide with the National

The Seminar-Workshop aims to:
