2 Overview
THY Mobile application developed by Pozitron for Turkish Airlines is the most comprehensive mobile airline
application of the world. The application contains all the content presented in the www.THY.com web address.
3 Startup
Application starts with 2 splash screens and a load screen displayed successively.
6
First splash screen displays the logos of “Pozitron”.
Second splash screen displays the logo animation of “Türk Hava Yolları”.
Load screen is displayed with the logo of “Türk Hava Yolları”, and a progress bar indicating load progress titled
“Yükleniyor” (Loading).
After application has been loaded “Ana Menü” (the Main Menu) is displayed.

4 Main Menu
The main screen contains 7 submenus.
Each sub menu leads to their submenus.
Up and Down Arrows move the submenu selection from top to down.
Left Control opens another window consisting continue and close options.
Fire opens the selected submenu window.
Right Control launches a new window asking the user whether or not to exit the application.

5.1 Flight Planning
Screen
: “Uçuş Planlama” (Flight Planning)
Definition: This window contains information about the departure and the arrival locations
The departure location is entered in the above box.
The arrival location is entered in the below box.
Left Control launches three options:
1. “Devam” (Continue)
2. “Rezervasyonlarım” (My Reservations)
3. “Miles&Smiles ile Giriş” (Miles&Smiles Login)
Right Control launches the main screen.

“Devam” (Continue) launches the (Flight Planning Menu).
Left Control or Fire launches (Continue).
Right Control closes the pop-up window.

Screen
Definition: Let the user to choose between the airports at the departure and arrival locations and the type of
the ticket
Up and Down Arrows moves the selection from top to down.
Left and Right Arrows change the airports and the type of the ticket.
Left Control launches a new window containing three options:

3. “Çıkış” (Exit)
Fire selects the option from the new menu.
Right Control turns back to the previous flight planning menu.

Left and Right Arrows change the time interval of departure and arrival times.
Left Control launches a new window.

Right Control turns back to the (Flight Planning Menu).
Departure and Arrival dates are selected from the launched menu.
Left Control launches the (Flight Planning Menu 2).

Definition: Contains 5 different choices for passenger types:

4. 65+
5. Student
Left and Right Arrows change the number of passengers from the selected 5 choices.

: “Saatler” (Schedule)
Definition: Contains information about the schedule on the departure and arrival dates selected
Up and Down Arrows slides through the Schedule from top to down

: “Uçuşlar” (Flights)
Definition: Contains information about the flight number, departure airport, arrival airport, departure date and
time, terms of flight cancel and passenger type
Up and Down Arrows move the selection cursor from top to down.
Left and Right Arrows changes the passenger type when on the passenger type section
Fire ticks the acceptance of terms of flight cancel button.
Left Control launches a new window containing five options:

: “1. Yolcu Bilgileri” (1. Passenger Information)
Definition: Contains passenger gender, name, surname, date of birth and a message indicating that no more
name changes is available after this point

Definition : Contains information about each passenger’s name, social security number, address and the city
he/she lives in.
Left and Right Arrows changes the passenger name when on the passenger name section.

Definition : Contains information about country of the billing, zip code of the billing, the firm the passenger is

Definition : Main page of Check-In process
Fire launches the Check-In sub menus.

Definition : Contains passenger name, surname, e-ticket number and reservation PNR
Right Control turns back to the (Online Check-In) menu.

: “Mobil Check-In” (Mobile Check-In)
Definition : Contains Passenger Name and available flights for check-in
Fire selects the option from the screen.

Definition : Frequent Flyer Number is to be prompted and the ‘Terms and Conditions’ are to be selected.

Description : Flight Date, Number, Route and Class are shown.
Seat selection is to be completed. White seats indicate the empty seats.
User can move through the seats via up/down, left/right arrows.

7 Mobile Boarding Pass (MBP)
Screen
Definition : Includes a message indicating that the mobile check-in process is completed and if the user request
a Mobile Boarding Pass, she/he can choose between the available flights.
Fire selects the preferred flight
Right Control request a Mobile Boarding Pass.

Description : In order to request a MBP (Mobile Boarding Pass), the user has to select either to receive the MBP
via SMS or via E-Mail.
Cell Phone Number or the e-mail address is to filled in the required area.

Description : The brand of the cell phone to which the Mobile Boarding Pass will be sent is chosen.
Left and Right Arrows move the selection cursor from left to right.

: “Mobili Check-In” (Mobile Check-In)
Description : In order to send a notification for the mobile boarding pass, an e-mail address or a cell phone
number is entered in the text boxes available.

Definition : Departure-Arrival Main Menu
Fire launches the Departure-Arrival sub menus.

: “Şehire Göre Sorgula” (Search Based on City)
Definition : Search for flights based on city.
The user enters the departure and arrival cities in the text boxes, and the application shows the
flights based on entered cities.
Left Control launches a new window containing four options:

3. “Havalimanına Göre” (Based on Airport)
Right Control turns back to the (Search Based on City) menu.
