Cheer / Eaglets / Flag
The Eaglet Kickline and Eaglet Flag
Team have been working hard the
past two weeks as we put our second
complete show on the field. We
debuted our Homecoming Show away
at Lakewood and then fine-tuned it to
give our hometown crowd a fantastic
halftime show on October 2 for our
Homecoming Game. The crazy winds
didn't stop our high kicks and heart
stopping jump splits or twirls and sky
high tosses! Congratulations to
Kickline Eaglets of the week Jillian
Ferguson and Elizabeth Piskura and
Flag Eaglets of the Week Destiny
Crumb and Danielle Lajko.
We are prepping for our 3rd Show and
will also be traveling to Little Italy to
march in the Columbus Day Parade on
October 12! See you this Friday at
Amherst.

Eagles win!
9-23-15 vs Midview.
Freshmen: 16-25; 14-25.
JV: 25-10; 25-15.
Varsity: 25-17; 24-26; 25-27; 26-28
9-28-15 vs Westlake
Once again, Westlake did a fantastic job of hosting
the Pink, Volley for the Cure game last night. NOHS
was not short in spirit as they dressed not only in
their VTC t-shirts, but also matching, socks and
shoelaces; even Coach Howell donned a pink
bandana!
Freshmen tried out a new line up and you could feel
their growing pains; they are, however, growing
which is exactly what you expect from a freshmen
team. Even though they lost, their performance in
their second game was a great improvement. Stay
strong Freshmen—keep pushing!!
Eagles Sports Round Up
McCord came in to serve 9 straight points to win the
game 25-19. A little Déjà vu moment in the third
game; Eagles were losing 8-14 when Kenzie Zauner
served and the Eagles were able to pull ahead 1615. They built on their momentum as Westlake lost
theirs and fell to the Eagles 25-19. The fourth game
was an all in all team effort. The Demons and Eagles
were neck and neck until about point 15 when the
Eagles soared on and won the fourth game also 2519. If a strong player had to be named, it would have
to be Allison Smith. Allison is consistently an
excellent player; but tonight, she really seemed to
shine.
10-3-15 vs North Olmsted
Saturday was cold and rainy outside but the Lady
Eagles were hot inside the North Ridgeville gym!
It started with the freshmen putting on a great
match; the teams were evenly matched, there were
many nice long volleys ; it was probably the most
entertaining match of the season. Erica Christ and
Ana Cepero both had a way of finding Ridgeville’s
weak spots and made sure their hits were right there.
The JV team kept the momentum going taking the
Rangers in two sets. The freshmen weren’t the only
ones adept at sniffing out Ridgeville’s weak spots;
Sarah Murray’s weak spot radar was spot on during
her 7 point serving streak. It was also nice to see
Abby Nola back and hitting hard.
JV Eagles fall to Westlake in two games. Sarah Murray
did make some nice digs throughout the match.
Varsity Volleyball: North Olmsted d.
Westlake 22-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-19.
Varsity was an exciting match. Despite Kenzie
Zauner’s efforts to field the ball while lying flat on her
back, the Eagles lost the first game. They were
trailing in the second game 15-19 when Tanea
