School of Community Health and Policy Undergraduate Nursing Program Application
School of Community Health and Policy Undergraduate Nursing Program Application GENERAL NURSING PROGRAM ADMISSION INFORMATION Admission to the Baccalaureate Nursing Program is Highly Competitive! Candidates with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher, who have completed all required coursework (General Education/University Requirements and Prerequisite Nursing Courses) and who have submitted their application packet to the Nursing Program Admissions Committee by the April 14, 2014 deadline will be considered for admission into the Fall 2014 program. All admission decisions will be based on the information submitted at the time of application. Note: If a student’s completion of all required coursework falls in the FIRST summer session prior to fall enrollment and space is available, consideration may be given for a late decision. The review of applicant records from all institutions attended is a comprehensive process which includes the review of GPA, courses, grades, recommendations and personal career statement. Incomplete application packets will not be considered for admission. You must assure that transcripts from all schools attended must be on file at the MSU Transfer Center. Because the number of available placement slots is limited, all candidates who meet the minimum requirements may not be accepted into the program. All applicants with completed submission packets will be notified of the decision via their Morgan e-mail no later than June 20, 2014. Students completing coursework at MSU during the first summer session will be notified of the committee decision by July 18, 2014.
