Worker, will discuss fun ways for the children in your care to continue learning through
the summer and to jumpstart the 2012-13 school year at the June 8 meeting. Contact Lori
Viera for more information and to request childcare during the meeting. Note: no meeting
on June 22 due to the June 29th Kinship Family Barbeque.
Feeling Fabulous After 50
Paul Moglia, Ph.D., Associate Residency Director at South
Nassau Communities Hospital, will discuss Controlling Overeating and Managing Exercise:
We Can’t Have One Without the Other. RSVP by June 13 at 914-377-6806. Please bring

Pool Party & Barbecue Westchester County Department of Senior Services and Programs
(WCDSPS) invites you to poolside party. The event is open to all relative caregivers and
the children in your home who are not in school. Admission and parking are free. Lunch is
available for $4; To order a lunch please called WCDSPS at 914-813-6380 or 914-6423 by

YOUTH PROGRAMS
Free Tutoring Volunteer college students who are enrolled in teacher training programs are
available to tutor youths living in kinship homes on Monday afternoons during June. Contact
Efrain Rodriguez to set up an appointment.
Minority Student Scholarships College scholarships sponsored by a range of companies
and organizations are available for minority students; contact Efrain Rodriguez.
Summer Employment for Youth Ages 16-24
New York Youth Works can assist with
finding summer employment and/or career preparation. Obtain applications at

Camp Morty Apply for a free week of sleep-away camp sponsored by the Westchester County
Department of Social Services in North Salem, NY. Activities include swimming,
boating/canoeing, sports and games, arts and crafts, evening campfire programs and leadership
