Needles: Size US 8 circular
needles or size to obtain gauge.
4 Stitch Markers.
Crochet Hook any size between F
and H
Gauge:
18 sts =4” on US size 8 in
stockinette stitch or size to obtain
approximate gauge
Cast on 14 sts.
Row 1: K4, pm, k2, pm, k2, pm,
k2, pm k4.
Row 2: K4, purl to last 4 sts, K4
(keeping
Row 3: (Increase Row) K4, sm, yo,
knit to next marker, yo, sm, k2, sm,
yo, knit to next marker, yo, sm, k4.
Row 4: K4, purl to last 4 sts, k4.
Bind off loosely.
Repeat rows 3 and 4 until the
center- 2 st -vein measures 17”
(approx. 194 sts).
Knit 6 rows garter stitch ending on
a WS row.
Finishing:
Weave in ends.
Fringe: Cut approx. 120 strands of fringe, each 18” long.
Attach 2 pieces of fringe into the long bottom V edge of the scarf using a crochet hook. Place
about 4 sts apart. Trim fringe.
