Needles: Size 7 US (4.5 mm) straight needles
Notions: scissors, tapestry needle
GAUGE
Gauge is not essential for this project
SCARF
Cast on 13 sts as foll: Pull out a length of
yarn and insert right hand needle into each
loop along top edge (edge without a thick
ribbon) working from back to front.
Row 1: *Insert right hand needle into front
leg of the first stitch on left needle from front
to back and wrap the next loop along the top
edge of the yarn around the right hand
needle. Pull loop through and slide stitch on
left hand needle off; rep from * to end.
Cont in this manner, working each row as for
row 1, until piece measures approximately
45”.
Bind off all sts as foll: knit 2 sts as in row 1,
pass first stitch over second stitch, * knit next
stitch as in row 1, pass first stitch over second
stitch; rep from * to end, fasten off last stitch.
Trim and weave in ends.
