SLOPE: 270 m. from the chapel
APPROXIMATE TIME: 1 hour
and a half, one way.
START: parking Pineta.
Accessible all year except when
it snows; in this case, you need
snowshoes.
It can be accessed by two different ways.
1. By the path that crosses the
river Cinca and up towards the
Circus, across the bridge. There
are signposts that mark the route.
2. From the chapel Virgen de
Pineta, near the National Parador.

Water route
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: easy.
SLOPE: 50 m.
TIME: 1 hour round walk. Total
distance: 1.5 Km.
START: parking Ereta de Bies.
Accessible the whole year except
during periods of snowfall.
Leaving the parking Ereta de
Bies, walk to the old roman
bridge of San Úrbez, suspended
30m. high above the river Bellos.
Nearby is the hermitage build in a
rock dedicated to St. Úrbez.
Leaving the main road, on the
left, a path descends to the river
Bellós and the old bridge.
You pass along some viewpoints,
reaching the little river and watermill of Aso and some beautiful
waterfalls. Finally, we leave the
route and continue until the
parking.

DIFFICULTY:
short walk with steep.
TIME: 20 minutes.
START: indicator signal at the
access road to the canyon.
The Source of Los Baños is
located close to the entrance of
Añisclo Canyon.
An indication panel on the road
marks the beginning of the 278
steps, to facilitate the descent
which lead us to the source.
This source is well known for the
health benefits and is attended for
many years for a large number of
people, mostly suffering bronchial
conditions.
To take some effect, you should
drink the water for nine consecutive days.

5. Walk to the viewpoint
of Revilla
DIFFICULTY: easy.
TIME: 2 h.
START: above the village of
Revilla curve (1250m).
Very nice walk in spring.
Leave the car at the starting point
and take the left path, heading
west.
This path leads to the viewpoints.
There are three viewpoints, the
first one halfway and the other
two at the end of the route, very
close to each other. Here you will
have a nice view to the Gorges of
Escuain.
On the way back you can take
the indication to Revilla and you
will return to the village by the
Gurrundue cirque.

SLOPE: 100 m.
TIME: 1h one way.
Accessible all year except the
snowperiod.
START: the end of the parking
Ordesa.
At the end of the parking take
the path to Soaso.
You walk through the beech
forest, cross the ravine Cotatuero
until reaching the viewpoint of the
waterfall Arripas.
After seeing the waterfall continue
on the same path a little more,
gentle climbing, shortly after, you
see a detour indicated “Pradera”.
Take this path that is descending.
After a few meters take the curve
to the right which goes to the
bridge over the river Arazas and
waterfall Arripas.
Pass the bridge and soon you
see the viewpoint Bucardo. We
left uncrossed the bridge Cadiera
and finally cross the bridge of the
Senda de los Cazadores, heading
back to the meadow of Ordesa.

7. Walk through the
Otal Valley
DIFFICULTY: easy.
TIME: 2 h. 30‘
SLOPE: 300 m.
START: Romanesque bridge of
San Nicolás de Bujaruelo.
From the bridge of San Nicolás de
Bujaruelo (1.340 m.), on the left,
continue walking along the way, in
north direction.
In 20 minutes on the altitude of
1.370 m., you will see a source and
a crossroad. Take the path to the
right, that goes through the Valley
of Otal.
Looking NW we see the peaks of
Ordiso (2.320 m.) and Asperillo
(2.355 m.) On the North, you can
see the Vignemale - Comachibosa
(3.300 m.) and just before this
mountain, the Cervillonar.
In 1 hour, at the altitude of
1.620 m., we enter in the Valley of
Otal. It is a totally flat and treeless
valley. At the end of this alp you
can see the top of the mountain
Tendeñera (2.853 m.).
His flat and U-shaped structure
tells us that it was eroded by the
glaciers. We also see a natural
barrage of an old mountain lake.

Circular walk.
START: Corner of the parish
church of San Martín de Tella.
Accessible all year except when it
snows or blizzard.
Tella is located at 1.384 meters.
It is one of the most picturesque
villages in the Pyrenees with its tipical houses: stone, tile roofs, few
windows and chimneys decorated with frightening witches.
In Tella we find the nice walk of
the three hermitages, from different chronological moments.
The first, of San Juan and Pablo,
is Romanesque. The following
hermitage is Nuestra Señora de
Fajanillas and the third one is
the hermitage of the Virgen de la
Peña; all are framed in an exceptional landscape.
The legends say in this area is
where the witches come together.

The walk is circular and runs
along a well marked trail. The
hermitages are at different points
along the walk.

9. Dolmen megalíthic of Tella
Tella dolmen, also known as
Piedra de Vasar or Losa de la
Campa, is located the northwest
of Tella.
Just before reaching Tella, you will
see the indication.
Archaeologically is a megalithic
monument intended for funeral
use, collective burial. Consists
several slabs, bowing vertically
holding deck slab.
The entire assembly is covered
by a mound of stones or earth or
both (ritual element also necessary for the construction of the
monument).
In an excavation, bones and other
Megalithic utensils were found,
which are now in the Provincial
Museum of Huesca.

Plan towards Biadós.
Not recommended with bike or

ROUTE DESCRIPTION:
This is a botanical route that connects two old bridges. The trail
runs through a shadowed and
rich vegetation area.
At the entrance of the Pecadores
bridge there is a sign explaining
the history of his name and along
the way there are interpretive
panels of the flora.
In half an hour we reach the bridge Puente del Molino, from where
it is possible to complete the path
descending the riverbank about
2 km.
It is recommended to be careful
with children close to the places
where are deep ravines.

11. River road from Plan to

START: river area (in either
locations).
It can be done by bike and baby
car.
It is a quiet promenade that runs
parallel to the river and connects
the Villages Plan and San Juan
de Plan.

START: the entry of the village
Gistaín / Chistén.
It can be done with baby baby
car.
On the right side there is a road
surrounding the village and goes
ascending to the viewpoint, which
is a pleasant area with the Puyadase Cross and from here you
have a beautiful view of Cinqueta
river and the massif of Cotiella.

13. Lecina mill and the Hermitage
of San Martin
DIFFICULTY: easy.
TIME: 1 h.
START: from the village Bárcabo.
From Bárcabo follow the path
that leads to the dam. To the
right is the Verrala source. The
trail continues parallel to the
cut in the river where also is the
vestige of the old mill Lecina. If
we continue along the river road,
we reach the confluence with the
Choca Canyon and the Hermitage of San Martin.

Circular walk.
START: main square of Alquézar.
The hike is bounded by the walls
of the gorge of Vero River and
the trail is fitted with hanging
walkways and wooden stairs.
This walk allows us to go from
the historic village of Alquézar to
the inside of one of the gorges of
Vero, seeing different elements of
the water and the bridge Fuente
de los Baños.

15. Walk to religious military
group of Samitier
DIFFICULTY: easy-medium.
TIME: 2 h.
START: from Samitier.
The road that connects the village
of Samitier with its castle and the
chapel is a rugged path. Although
the doors of the buildings are closed, you can access the interior
by opening the fritters.
The route involves the ascent of
the hill by a clearly marked path. It
has several ledges until you reach
the top of hill. Here you have a
great view of the Pyrenees in the
background, the reservoirs and
the Entremón Gorge can be seen
from above and enjoy the incomparable tranquility and silence.

It is one of the largest reservoirs of Aragon, with 1,714 ha.
surface and with a total capacity
of 436.35 hm3, and a useful
capacity of 426 hm3.
The remains of the village Mediano are under the water. Of all
the buildings, the Romanesque
church is the only left standing
after the flooding of the area by
the water of the reservoir. Even in
times of high water level of the reservoir, the steeple of the church
emerges on the surface.

17. Hiking gorge Entremon
DIFFICULTY: easy, even though
are a few sections of the path,
that are very narrow and pass
parallel to the precipice without
guardrails.
TIME: 1 hour only one way.
HOW TO GET THERE: we
take the A 138 national road in
the direction of Barbastro. After
18 km you arrive in Mesón de
Ligüerre, where you have to take
the detour to the left towards La
Fueva. After 3 km you cross the
bridge over the reservoir of El
Grado. Behind the bridge there is
a small parking zone, where you
can leave the car. There are signs
that mark the route (Gorge of the
Entremon). This route is part of
the GR-1. There are also posters
on the ornithological wealth of the
route along the way.

Clearly visible from the road
C-138 from Barbastro to L’Ainsa.
Dominates the hill on which the
village stands. The views of the
region and the Pyrenees, from
the scaffold, are spectacular. The
village was a former muslim fort
named Abinyuyas. It was re-taken
by Sancho III “El Mayor”.
“LOS TITIRITEROS”
(THE PUPPETEERS)
The Pyrenean house puppets and
popular theater is the place where
the Puppeteers of Binéfar are
continuously representing their
creations and they offer visitors
an opportunity of leisure related
to the theatrical, musical and
festive culture of the Pyrenean
environment.

19. Muro de Roda
Located in a strategic location, is
a fortified village in the municipality of La Fueva, in the Sobrarbe
region. You reach Muro de Roda
along a track that is accessible
from Tierrantona also by 4x4. We
can also visit, taking advantage
of the rest of the time, the valley
of Fueva, with its many villages,
whose capital corresponds to
Tierrantona.

TIME: 2 h.
START: from the Monastery of
San Victorian.
From the back of the monastery
is a small wooden sign indicating
the start of the walk and sometimes you have to cross a small
stream.
The first part of the route runs
along the rocky slope of the
mountain and it is essential to be
very careful about the gap that
opens to the right.
After approximately 15 minute
walk, we will see the hermitage of
San Antonio.
The trail continues into the woods
and is indicated by the white and
yellow paint indicating the PR.
Almost at the end of the route
there are small ledges.

21. The Monastery
of San Victorian
The monastery of San Victorian
is located in one of the South
Eastern slopes of the mountain
Peña Montañesa, in the municipality of Los Molinos and a few
miles of Ainsa. It has its origins
in the eleventh century after the
monks of the Visigoth monastery
of Ashan, around Huesca, moved
to this place.
It has been recently restored by
performing a thorough cleaning
and reconstruction of the roof of
the church.
The monastic complex mainly
consists buildings from the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries.

Peña Montañesa (2.291 m.) is the
highest point of the mountain Sierra Ferrera in the Sobrarbe in the
province of Huesca. It is located
north of the village Ainsa.
To reach the starting point for this
mountain hike, we go to Ainsa, on
the crossroad we drive to the left
to Campo. We pass the village,
7 km. more and reach the village
Arro. We turn to the left (signaled)
to the monastery San Victorian,
15 km. above.
At 2 km. after passing the village
of Oncins, we will see the beginning of the path on the left side,
well indicated. We can leave the
car next to the old church Virgen
del Pilar and 1 km before the
Monastery of San Victorian.

23. Walk to Cover Cross
(Cruz Cubierta)
TIME: 15 minutes.
START: behind the castle of
Ainsa.
It can also be done by bike and
baby car.
After visiting the medieval village
of Ainsa, its old arcaded Plaza
Mayor, the streets, museums,
crossing the courtyard of the
castle of Ainsa, passing a wooden bridge which spans the moat
of the citadel, we reach a large
parking. Go to the right.
A wooden sign indicates “Cruz
Cubierta”. This circular temple
was built in 1655 to commemorate the battle of the Reconquest of
Ainsa and the Muslims.
Between 8 columns and surrounded by an ancient gate, lays the
stone representation of the Cross
on the oak, symbol of Sobrarbe
and first quarter Coat of Aragon.
It is a peaceful environment. In
summer, early in the morning or
sunset.

We can start on the campsite,
departing from the reception
following the path along the camping beside the river Cinca.
The houses are grouped around
the church of San Sebastián,
with its large tower. The village is
found around the Plaza Mayor.
It has two neighborhoods, San
Juan and San Sebastian. The
streets still retain their old names:
Herrería, Arboleda, Barranco, etc.
The local summer “fiestas” of
Labuerda are held on August
16, in honor of San Roque, while
winter “fiestas” are dedicated to
San Sebastián, January 20.

25. Walk to San Vicente
de Labuerda
This walk starts from the campsite. Before reaching the village, is
the Romanesque church of San
Vicente de Labuerda.
In addition, this church is near the
place where the relics of
St. Visorio were found.
ITINERARY: Leaving the campsite, towards the Hotel, at the other
side of the road take the path that
goes through the woods, towards
San Vicente.
Approximately 2 h.

The village of Ainsa, declared
a National Monument in 1965,
is located in a privileged place.
Surrounded by large natural areas
like the National Park of Ordesa
and Monte Perdido and the National Park of the Canyons and Sierra
de Guara.
In the old village you can visit
the castle dating from the 11th
century, the Plaza Mayor dating
back to the XI and XII century and
the church of Santa María, the
11th century. Its streets, with old
and renovated houses composing
the wonderful setting of the old
medieval town of Ainsa.
Do not forget the two rivers, Cinca
and Ara, who are passing through
the village and both ending in the
lake Mediano.
ITINERARY: Leaving the campsite, towards the Hotel, we take
the road to Cruz Cubierta and
continue, reaching the castle and
the old town.

27. Walk to the Chapel
Los Palacios
TIME: 30 minutes (one way).
START: Ara River Bridge, at the
fork of the road Barbastro- Guaso/ Natural Park Sierra de Guara.
Accessible all year, preferably in
spring.
Looking ahead, we see that
in the middle of the two roads
starts a path that will lead us to
the hermitage Los Palacios. The
views of Ainsa, its old town and
the Pyrenees are magnificent.
To reach the shrine, you have to
take a detour to the left.

DIFFICULTY: easy.
TIME: a little over an hour.
Circular route.
START: Cinca river between the
bridge and park. You can do this
walk with baby baby car.
From the starting point, the path
runs flat and parallel along the river Cinca. After walking about 15
minutes, turn to the right, which
is signposted and leads us to the
hermitage. The road then joins
the road to El Pueyo de Araguás.
When you reach the road, go to
the right with a steep descent
that brings us back to the park
Ainsa.

29. Walk to the Castle
of Boltaña
TIME: 20 minutes one way.
START: old village of Boltaña.
From the old village of Boltaña,
follow the sign indicating the way
to the castle, situated on top of a
hill. Is reached by following a nice
path slightly muleteer inclined.
It is a Romanesque ruined castle
which was built in times of Sancho el Mayor.
This walled dominates the new
part of the village of Boltaña, with
excellent views.
The walk is very nice and easy.
In summer, early morning or
late afternoon because it is very
sunny.

DIFFICULTY: easy but not
recommended for very young
children.
TIME: 20 to 30 minutes.
START: from the viewpoint of
Jánovas (N-260) or from the path
at the entrance of the village.
The walk runs along a path leading down to the river.
Cross the river by a wooden suspension bridge. When you reach
the edge of the other bank, there
is a short climb which brings us
closer to the village.
After taking a walk through the
deserted streets, the return is
made along the same path.
This tour is not recommended
for very young children because
the suspension bridge might be
a hazard.

The Puértolas gorges
There are seven bathing places in
the river Cinca, between the mile
markers 59 and 63 of the A-138.
The access is easy and marked
with information panels.

The Vajrayana Dag Shang
Kagyu Buddhist Center is a
spiritual retreat center located
near the small village of Panillo,
30 kilometers from Ainsa, in the
direccion of Tierrantona and then
to Panillo. Tibet has moved to
this part of Huesca Pyrenees. The
temple presents ideal conditions for meditation and spiritual
tranquility, due to its isolation and
beautiful views of the first Pyrenean foothills where it is located.

33. The Sanctuary of Torreciudad
The sanctuary of Torreciudad
is dedicated to the Virgin Mary
and located in Torreciudad, in the
county of Ribagorza, Huesca. It is
located on top of a mountain on
the left bank of the Cinca River,
near the dam of El Grado. The
name comes from an old watchtower in the Arab period, whose
ruins are located a few meters
from the old chapel. Architecturally, it is spectacular building.
