October 2, 2013 Brand Requirements: COOLMAX® Socks and Tubular Knit Accessories Table 1. Brand requirements for COOLMAX® and COOLMAX® ECOMADE socks and tubular knit accessories. Minimum Qualifying INVISTA Fiber Content Allowable Fiber Blend Ratios COOLMAX® EXTREME socks and COOLMAX® ECOMADE EXTREME socks COOLMAX® ACTIVE socks and COOLMAX® ECOMADE ACTIVE socks 70% of garment by weight. 40% of garment by weight. 100% INVISTA qualifying fibers. 50% INVISTA qualifying fibers. Polyester fibers must be INVISTA specialty polyester. COOLMAX® EVERYDAY socks and COOLMAX® ECOMADE EVERYDAY socks Minimum 30% of garment by weight, typically achieved with an intimate blend of 50% INVISTA qualifying fiber. Intimate blends of 50% INVISTA qualifying fiber. Elastification No elastomeric yarn other than LYCRA® fiber may be present. Rubber is not allowed. Knitting Specification Qualifying fiber for COOLMAX® socks and tubular knits in every course. Trademark License Agreement A signed agreement must be on file before using INVISTA brands on packaging, POS, advertising, or other printed materials. Garment Qualification Garments must meet INVISTA quality standards for moisture management. (See: Quality Standards for COOLMAX ® Socks, Doc. Ref. P012.) Testing is free of charge at INVISTA labs. An INVISTA laboratory Notice of Approval (NOA) must be on file before using INVISTA logos on packaging. Package Identification Must display the applicable COOLMAX® socks and LYCRA® fiber logos prominently on package. Package should display INVISTA Notice of Approval (NOA) number wherever possible. Trademark Line Trademark Approval Content Labeling Brand Audit Use the trademark line: “COOLMAX® and LYCRA® are trademarks of INVISTA”. Use of INVISTA logos and trademarks must be approved by INVISTA before printing. The correct generic description for COOLMAX® fiber in content labeling is “polyester”. The COOLMAX® brand may be used as a fiber description, e.g., “40% COOLMAX® polyester”. Labeling must adhere to local government requirements. In addition to quality standards testing, compliance will be ensured by periodic retail audits. This product information is subject to change by INVISTA.
