Service. Participation in the Lord’s
Supper indicates unity in faith (1
Corinthians 10:16-21). Visitors
desiring to commune are asked to
first speak with the Pastor. Ushers
are available to arrange a meeting
prior to the service. Parents who
bring children to the altar to be
blessed during the Lord’s Supper, to
avoid spillage, please refrain from
giving
them
the
individual
communion cup after you have
communed.

proclaim the Gospel and to provide for our brothers and sisters in Christ in our congregation, community
and throughout the world. In this design, we see what is innate to our F2F1 (Faithful to the Faithful One)
Mission, Vision, and Strategy. In all we do, Christ is at the center, leading us, sustaining us, keeping us
focused on why Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church exists as a congregation.

THE ANNUAL YOUTH IN MISSIONS RUMMAGE SALE will take place June 14th from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
and June 15th from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. We are now accepting item donations in the classroom across
from the gym just inside the back school door. We will need volunteers to help with pricing and set up on
the 12th and 13th, running the sale and packing up afterward on the 16th. If you are interested in helping

SCHOOL NEWS:
PRAISE THE LORD! Mrs. Johnson received verification that our yearly NLSA (National Lutheran Schools
Accreditation) report was received and approved by the NLSA Commission with commendations. "The
commissioners were so impressed with all you have done to ...and introduce family focused activities
that create a positive family friendly environment."
CALLING ALL LADIES! Kantor Machemer is assembling a Ladies Chorus to sing for the Fifth Sunday

celebration on June 30 . This choir is open to all ladies of the congregation ages middle school through
100! There will be one rehearsal on Thursday, June 27 at 7:00pm to prepare for the service. If you
enjoying singing, please consider participating, even if you have not sung in a choir before! It’s a short,
one time commitment, the music will be easy to learn so that singers of all abilities will be able to
participate comfortably, and it will be a great way to get to know other women on our congregation.
Please consider helping us serve the Lord in this way! If you have any questions, please feel free to

JOB OPENING – LEAD DAYCARE PROVIDER – Lead care providers must have previous experience in a child
care setting and meet the State of Michigan qualifications. The hours for this position will vary with a

VOLUNTEER OPENING – THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES IS LOOKING FOR A GARDEN COORDINATOR – We are

BLOOD DRIVE RESULTS – For the May 23 blood drive, we had a total of 35 presenting donors, which
was a bit of a drop from last time. We did, however, have 8 people give double red donations, which was
a great showing considering the number of overall donors. We will take the summer off and host the next

drive on Friday, September 20 from 2:00 to 7:45 pm.
