HOW TO LISTEN TO GOD CLASS
By: Rev. Ann F.R. Cutler
INTRODUCTION
3 Ways to Hear God’s Voice, The origin of thoughts,
biblically come in from 3 sources.
1.
2.
3.
Self – our mind perceptions, perceived by our
interpretations of situations by our 5 senses.
God didn’t make man to be a self-contained
being. We are God’s vessel and are to be
filled.
The holy spirit – Is our filling in our vessel. And
is what makes man’s heart sing with glory and
praise unto the Father for his goodness.
Demons - Until we are born again, and believe
Jesus Christ rose from the dead, we were filled
with disobedience, under his control and
working for Satan.
Spontaneous or flowing thoughts come from the spirit
world. Either they are Revelation from God or they are
thoughts that come from our use of our rational minds.
John 7:37-39 teaches us that the flow we sense within
is coming from the holy spirit. These are called
spontaneous thoughts.
If our thoughts are from
demons then our minds will reflect the purposes of
Satan. Condemnation, fear, lust, anger, lies and every
form of wickedness. Godly thoughts then will guide us,
3
direct us and help us to lift off our burdens and will
allow flowing pictures and words, from the Holy Spirit in
our reasoning process.
The way to tell if your
spontaneous thoughts are from God is to line them up
with God’s Word. If these spontaneous thoughts do not
line up with God’s truths then they aren’t coming from
God but from self or demons. These thoughts are easy
to recognize because our self thoughts will be based on
our sense knowledge, and demon thoughts will be
against God’s Word.
God is Spirit. God’s Spirit, the spirit of the Lord speaks
to my spirit which speaks to my Mind.
THE FOUR KEYS TO LISTENING TO GOD’S VOICE
ARE:
1.
2.
3.
4.
Quieting yourself down – Taking time in our
day to sit still and be alone with the Father
without any distractions.
Fixing your eyes on Jesus – This is the key on
Hearing from the Father.
Tuning to spontaneity – This means to allow
ourselves to be filled with his grace, and his
goodness.
And writing, or journaling.
Your Communion with God will become a flow of His
words springing forth from your heart. You will
experience a depth of relationship you never thought
possible!!
4
Rhema, or the voice of God is Spirit to spirit
communication –where the Holy Spirit, is in union with
our spirit, and speaks directly to you.
Thoughts from my mind are analytical. Dividing into
elemental parts or basic principles. Reasoning or
acting from a perception of the parts and interrelations
of a subject: Thoughts from my heart are spontaneous
coming or resulting from a natural impulse or tendency;
without effort or premeditation.
We can not manifest Rhema speaking in tongues and
interpretation of tongues, prophecy, or word of
knowledge or the word of wisdom if we are unable to
recognize his voice.
So we can say that hearing God’s voice is recognizing
that God’s voice is sensed as spontaneous thoughts
which light upon our minds. They suddenly happen.
They aren’t from reasoning them out. For example:
You have a problem. You don’t know what to do about
it. But you are busy and don’t have time to focus on a
solution. All of a sudden while doing something else a
flash of thought comes across your mind which would
solve the whole problem. That’s God speaking to you.
It didn’t come from your analytical mind and you
thinking about it, it came suddenly, as if out of no where
this was from your heart. God communicated to you his
solution for resolving your problem. Question. How do
we sense God? Have you ever read a passage in the
Bible and all of a sudden it just leaps off the page?
5
This is spontaneous flow. It becomes alive, it becomes
vivid you see it.
God can make His Bible come Alive To You like this all
the Time. II Timothy 2:15 tells us to study the bible
however, in the KJV, we are to be diligent to present
yourself unto God. So what does this verse really want
us to do. 20 times the Bible instructs us to study. The
word study isn’t as accurate as it could be. You will
only find it used 3 times in the Bible while you will find
20 times in the Bible the word Meditate. Meditation
then releases revelation while study releases
information. The word study according to the Dictionary
is the application of the mental faculties for the
acquisition of knowledge. The word Meditate means to
speak, pray in divine language, which means I am
praying in tongues, communication, roar or shout,
reflection or devotion. Many times as we are reading
the scriptures revelation knowledge will hit us and we
will shout. We are never told anywhere in the Bible to
reason. Reasoning is a function of Man’s brain, but
reasoning is not a function of God’s.
Question: Who made this great statement in History? I
want to know God’s thoughts the rest is just details.
Einstein said that. Einstein used the four keys to
transform the field of Science. If you study his life you
will come to understand how he used all 4 keys
presented in this class to get the theory of Relativity.
So how does God speak to my Mind?
6
We will practice rhema and develop the eyes of our
hearts.
We will see Visions which are mental images while we
are awake.
We will dream dreams while we are asleep that will give
us God’s wise counsel.
We will journal and experience a 2-way conversation
with the Father.
1. Quiet yourself down. And we are going to End this
Session tonight with learning How to be Still Become
still. Remove Inner Noise – Take charge or your mind
and begin removing all distractions from it. Think only
about what I am telling you to do right now. Drain
yourself of all the worldly things that happened to you
today. Think thought a about God, and peace and all of
God’s blessing in your life. Reflect on God’s Beauty
and goodness in your mind. Remind yourself of his
righteousness. Just start praying in tongues quietly to
yourself if you know how or in your understanding.
Bind your mind to the mind of Christ bind your will to the
will of God. Take some deep breaths in and out, drink
in his light, his life, his energy, feel his touch in your
spirit. Just calm yourself physically as though you are
ready to go to sleep this is what it is to be still to be
quiet. God home and put on some soft music, soak in a
hot tub, learn what it is to just let go of things and relax
7
with the Father. The greatest cargoes in life come in
over quiet seas.
MANIFESTATIONS OF HOLY SPIRIT
Practicing Rhema and Developing the Eyes of our
Heart Ephesians 1:18. When receiving Rhema we will
become inspired to give interpretation and prophecy in
Believers Meetings for exhortation and comfort,
encouragement and edification for our Brothers and
Sisters in the church. This is practicing rhema. As we
continue to practice rhema we begin developing our
other abilities such as word of knowledge, word of
wisdom and discerning of spirits. Finally the eyes of
our heart enable us to believe to bring about in God’s
love, grace and goodness believing, miracles and
healing to others.
Section 2 Rhema – Fix your Eyes Upon Jesus.
Picture your eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ walking
toward you, see a picture in your Mind of Him Keep that
image in front of your Face. Learn to Focus your
Attention on This Image.
There are 70 uses of the Word Rhema in the New
Testament and all refer to the “Spoken Word” or uttered
speech or uttered words.
1. That which is or has been uttered by the living voice,
thing spoken, Speaking A loud
8
2. Any sound produced by the voice and having
definite meaning
3. Speech, what one has said.
4. A series of words joined together into a sentence (a
declaration of one's mind made in words into words
and spoken, an utterance.
5. A saying of any sort as a message, a narrative.
Let’s look at some examples of rhema in the Word.
Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written,
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every
word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be
impossible.
Luke 1:38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of
the Lord: be it unto me according to thy word. And
the angel departed from her.
The amplified reads in verse 37 it reads: “ For with
God nothing is ever impossible and no word from
God shall be without power or impossible of
fulfillment.”
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing,
and hearing by the word of God.
9
Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation,
and the sword of the Spirit, which is the
word of God.
IPet. But the word of the Lord endureth forever.
And this is the word which by the gospel is
preached unto you.
God’s Rhema is Given to the Believers for the
Immediate Time and Situation: Forms of Rhema
Include: Witnessing, Undersheperding, Ministering,
Preaching, Teaching, Speaking in Tongues with
Interpretation and Prophecy.
Rhema is God’s Spoken Word - His spirit, speaks to
our Spirit which teaches our minds and gives us the
words to speak a loud to others.
As an Ambassador
Witnessing, God gives us Rhema to speak to his
people 2Cr 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for
Christ, as though God did beseech [you] by us: we pray
[you] in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. Witness
the Word which is the ministry of reconciling men back
unto God, getting them born Again and helping them to
receive the truth. We are God’s personal
representatives by way of Christ living and dwelling in
us.
10
As Undershepherders
John 10:11 I (Jesus Christ) am the good shepherd;
the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep . As
an Undersheperder we the good shepherds take care
of the flock of God. As undersheperders we go the
extra mile after people are born again and feed them
the Word with our Words. Rhema. God gives us just
the right words to speak to people’s hearts. The flock of
God are people who desire to love and do God’s
commandments who want to learn and grow and do the
right things in life. We as undershepherders nourish
them, teach them, warn them, train them, watch over
them, cultivate them, and inspire growth within them
and assist them in coming to their full maturity in Christ.
Once again in order to be an undershepherder we must
receive Rhema which is to be able to give a word fitly
spoken.
Teachers, Preachers and Apostles
Must Receive Rhema they must have Words on the tip
of Their Tongues to Speak To Peoples Needs and
comfort their hearts.
1Ti 2:7 Whereunto I am ordained a Preacher, and an
Apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, [and] lie not;)
an apostle is one who brings new light to a
generation. A teacher of the Gentiles in faith and give
you a full understanding.
11
2Ti 1:11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and
an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. As a
preacher, I Preach and Proclaim the Word, Line by
Line and Word by Word because God has entrusted
this responsibility to us. We establish the Word’s
credibility by proclaiming it word for word and line by
line.
AS A MINISTER We are to help get people established
in their believing, we are to give them comfort, put them
in remembrance of the scriptures. When they blow it,
we are to nourish them with our words of believing with
good and sound doctrine. Again in order to carry this
out we must be receiving Words to Speak A loud.
Rhema.
Ministers can also be called elders, bishops, fishers of
men, fellow laborers, Lights, Men of God.1Th 3:2 And
sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God,
and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ, to
establish you, and to comfort you concerning your
faith:
1Ti 4:6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of
these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus
Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of
good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
1Th 3:2 And sent Timotheus, our brother, and
minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the
12
gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort
you concerning your faith:
As
ambassadors,
witnesses,
undersheperders,
teachers, preachers, apostles, ministers, fellow
labourers, elders, bishops, fishers of men, lights, men
of God we are to be an example to the believers, in
Word, Rhema, in behavior, in charity, in spirit, in
believing and in purity which is to be free from moral
guilt or fault, or contamination. 1Jo 3:18 My little
children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue;
but in deed and in truth. 1Ti 4:12 Let no man
despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the
believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in
spirit, in faith, in purity.
Our goal in Christian Outreach is to love people enough
to motivate them to respond to the Word of God. This
is the heart of Christian Outreach.
Others things Christ did in loving and winning people to
God’s Word, was counsel, heal, reprove, correct, and
forgave. The Words Christ spoke to others were
Rhema. At times the love of God meant blunt
confrontation and other times it meant giving great
compassion, sometimes he gave compliments to
establish people’s believing, at other times he just
prayed. Each situation called for a unique response
geared to the individual in need. Jesus Christ trained
himself to become acutely aware to people’s needs.
13
He believed to be at the right place, at the right time
with a heart to reach out to others in need with Rhema.
Other Forms of Rhema Include: Speaking in Tongues
with Interpetation or Prophecy Provides to Believers
Edification, Exhortation, and Encouragement to a More
Worthy Endeavor.
SPEAKING IN TONGUES. Speaking in tongues is
speaking in an unknown language to you, but maybe a
known language to some one else in the room.
Speaking in tongues is a language either from men in
the past, present, future or the tongue of an angel.
Speaking in Tongues has a two fold purpose. It is
perfect prayer with your Heavenly Father when you are
alone. But Speaking in Tongues with Interpetation is
Rhema. And it is to be done in the Church for it is a
message from God or For God to his People or a Word
of Phophecy is given, both are to be given to the
church. Both are God’s Rhema to the Church. It builds
up and edifies the body of believers that are present
and is a witness and sign to unbelievers that may have
entered the church. Both of these types of Rhema are
to be done decently and in order in the church for the
best witness.
When receiving Rhema we will become inspired to give
interpretation and prophecy in Believers Meetings for
exhortation and comfort, encouragement and edification
for our Brothers and Sisters in the church. This is
practicing rhema. As we continue to practice rhema we
14
begin developing our other abilities such as word of
knowledge, word of wisdom and discerning of spirits.
Finally the eyes of our heart enable us to believe to
bring about in God’s love, grace and goodness
believing, miracles and healing to others.
How to bring forth Rhema in a Believers meeting
through interpretation of tongues and prophecy.
GIVING GOD’S RHEMA
Hetros Reasons
Why we Speak in Tongues and Interpret or
Give A Word of Prophecy in the Body of Believers
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
Speaking in tongues with Interpretation
magnifies God.
Acts 10:46a For they heard them speak with
tongues, and magnify God.
Speaking in tongues with Interpretation or a
Word of Prophecy provides a way to give
witness that we are a joint heir with Christ.
Romans 8:17a Speaking in tongues with
Interpretation is a sign to unbelievers.
Speaking in tongues with Interpretation
recognizes and indicates the significance of
the work God has wrought in our lives. I
Corinthians 14:22a, Mark 16:17.
15
6.
7.
8.
Speaking in tongues with interpretation, or a
word of prophecy proves the resurrection and
ascension of Christ. Acts 2:32, 33.
Speaking in tongues with interpretation
provides a way to declare Jesus as our Lord. I
Corinthians 12.
Speaking in tongues with interpretation, or a
word of prophecy brings forth a message of
edification, exhortation and comfort to the
believers present. I Corinthians 14:13, 27.
Allos Reasons Why we Speak in Tongues
The benefits of speaking tongues personally:
1. Speaking in tongues edifies you.
I Corinthians 14:4a; Jude 20.
2. Speaking in tongues provides a way to speak
mysteries (or divine secrets) to (God). I Corinthians
14:2.
3. Speaking in tongues provides a way to speak the
wonderful works of God. Acts 2:11.
4. Speaking in tongues provides a way to pray
perfectly. Romans 8:26, Romans 26, 27.
5. Speaking in tongues provides a way to give thanks
well. I Corinthians 14:17.
5. Speaking in tongues provides a way to have God
Bear witness with our spirit that we are His children.
Romans 8:16
6. Speaking in tongues strengthens us with might in
our inner man. II Corinthians 4:16
16
7. Speaking in tongues gives rest to the soul. Isaiah
28:11,12, I Corinthians 14:21.
8. Speaking in tongues is a guarantee for our new
spiritual body in the future. Ephesians 1:13b, 14
9. Speaking in tongues produces the fruit of the spirit.
Galatians 5:22, 23.
10. Speaking in tongues provides a way to declare
Jesus as Lord. I Corinthians 12.
Speaking in Tongues personally is not Rhema but when
we choose to speak in tongues in the church and give
interpretation or a Word of Prophecy this is Rhema.
Speaking Rhema in the use of these manifestations
magnifies God. It brings him closer to us, and allows us
to see more of His greatness and majesty. It helps us
to know and be reassured of just how much he truly
loves us and cares about our lives.
It is enriching and helps us to build our faith even
stronger knowing that we can truly trust in him.
Speaking in Tongues with Interpretation or Prophecy
helps us to build a habit of operating holy spirit in our
lives that provides us with a solid foundation for the
operation for the rest of the manifestations.
As we practice Rhema in our lives we develop the Eyes
of our Heart it talks about in Ephesians 1:18 That the
eyes of your understanding being enlightened: that
ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and
what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the
17
saints. In other words we always have words ready to
speak to others who need our compassion, comfort,
prayer,
confrontation,
compliments,
forgiveness,
reproof, healing and counsel, exhortation, edification,
and encouragement.
Prov. 25:11 A word fitly spoken [is like] apples of
gold in pictures of silver.
Let us now look at I Corinthians 12.
Verse 1 Now concerning spiritual [gifts], brethren, I
would not have you ignorant.
Notice that the word gifts is initalics. What does that
mean? When the translators added a word when they
translated the Stephens Greek text to English which
became the King James Version ( or Authorized version
) of 1611, they italicized each word so that we would
know what came from the Stevens Greek Text and
what they added. Many times when they added a word,
it was accurate and helped to further understand the
bible.
In this case, the word gifts is entirely erroneous and
throws off the whole meaning of this verse.
The word spiritual is the Greek Word pneumatikos. It
means spiritual matters or things. The word gift which
was added by the translators should be scratched out
or erased because it never was a part of the bible.
18
If God does Not want us to be ignorant concerning
spiritual things or spiritual matters, then God wants us
to be aware and fully instructed. Yet,how ignorant
many of us have been regarding spiritual matters.
Verse 2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away
unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
Verse 3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no
man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus
accursed: and [that] no man can say that Jesus is the
Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
There are some Christians that not only don’t speak in
tongues, they say that it is devilish. Speaking by the
spirit of God is speaking ion tongues!! Yet in this verse
it says “that no man speaking by the Spirit of God
calleth Jesus accursed: and [that] no man can say that
Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.” Is God right
or is man right? God is always right!!!!!!!
Verse 4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same
Spirit.
Notice that the word gift in this verse is Not in italics. It
was part of the Stephens Text. The word gift in verse 4
is the Greek Word charisma.
19
It means:
1) a favour with which one receives without any merit of
his own
2) the gift of divine grace
3) the gift of faith, knowledge, holiness, virtue
God has been talking about spiritual matters, spiritual
gifts, and administrations in chapter 12 of I Corinthians.
Let’s go down to verse 7 in this same chapter.
Verse 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to
every man to profit withal.
The word gift is NOT in this verse. It says
manifestation. The Greek Word for manifestation is
phanerosis. This Greek Word is only used one other
place in the Bible. It is also in II Cor. 4:2. Manifest or
manifestation means to evidence or exhibit or a
revealing.
Verse 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of
wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same
Spirit;
Verse 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to
another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
20
Verse 10 To another the working of miracles; to
another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to
another [divers] kinds of tongues; to another the
interpretation of tongues:
Verse 11 But all these worketh that one and the
selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he
will.
Now I want to look at the word receive. There are two
Greek Words that are translated receive in the area of
the holy spirit or holy ghost. The two words translated
receive are dechomai and lambano.
DECHOMAI MEANS TO RECEIVE OBJECTIVELY.
LAMBANO MEANS TO RECEIVE SUBJECTIVELY .
Give illustration. Money in your pocket is dechomai.
Pulling money out of your pocket and spending it or
investing it is lambano. As Christians God has given us
a fortune spiritually when we get born again. We have
great power spiritually but we may not know it or we
may not know HOW to properly utilize this holy spirit
power. When we lambano we are utilizing the power
that God has given us. When we speak in tongues we
are utilizing ( lambanoing ) our God given ability.
Acts 8: 14 – 17
Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem
heard that Samaria had received
21
(dechomai ) the word of God, they sent unto them
Peter and John: Who, when they were come down,
prayed for them, that they might receive (lambano)
the Holy Ghost: (For as yet he was fallen upon none
of them: only they were baptized in the name of the
Lord Jesus.) Then laid they [their] hands on them,
and they received (lambano) the Holy Ghost.
Acts 10:38 – 47
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy
Ghost and with power: who went about doing good,
and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for
God was with him.
And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in
the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew
and hanged on a tree:
Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him
openly; Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen
before of God, [even] to us, who did eat and drink with
him after he rose from the dead.
And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and
to testify that it is he which was ordained of God [to be]
the Judge of quick and dead.
To him give all the prophets witness, that through his
name whosoever believeth in him shall receive (
lambano) remission of sins.
22
While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell
on all them which heard the word. And they of the
circumcision which believed were astonished, as many
as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also
was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they
heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God.
Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that
these should not be baptized, which have received (
lambano) the Holy Ghost as well as we?
Understanding the difference between dechomai and
lambano also helps you to understand rhema much
better.
God’s Rhema is Given to the Believers for the
Immediate Time and Situation: Forms of Rhema
Include: Witnessing, Undershepherding, Ministering,
Preaching, Teaching, Speaking in Tongues with
Interpretation and Prophecy.
Rhema is God’s Spoken Word - His spirit, speaks to
our Spirit which teaches our minds and gives us the
words to speak a loud to others. The more that all of us
manifest rhema, the more powerful, blessed and
victorious the believers will be in their daily lives.
I want to cover one more point before I close this
teaching. God is a God of love and order and peace.
23
I Cor.14: 33 and verse 40. These verse are in this
chapter which instructs us HOW to lovingly and
properly operate the manifestations of the spirit.
Speak in tongues out loud to the entire class. Ask them
what did they understand or benefit from my speaking
in tongues. Speaking in tongues by itself is for your
private prayer life. When we get together in church,
God tells us that everyone has to profit or benefit. So
when we speak in tongues in a worship service, it is
followed by interpretation. A word of prophecy is = to
tongues with interpretation without the tongue.
I want to close with this verse from I Corinthians 14:18.
I thank my God that I speak in tongues more than you
all.
WHY DREAMS?
It is actually very important to dream. Research has
proven that people who are deprived from entering the
dream phase of sleep (i.e. REM stage), exhibit
symptoms of irritability and anxiety. In one dream study,
volunteers were woken up right before they entered into
the dream state. Then they were allowed to fall back to
sleep. Again, right before they enter REM sleep, they
were woken up. This continued on through the night.
The volunteers slept the same amount of time as they
normally did. The next day, these volunteers went
about their day. They were observed to be disoriented,
24
depressed, crabby, and quick tempered. There was a
general impairment in their daily functioning. Some ate
more than usual. As this study continued on through
several nights, subjects became more and more
noticeably agitated. Deprivation of REM sleep causes
over-sensitivity, lack of concentration and memory loss.
This study shows the importance of dreaming and its
role in our well-being and health. Some researchers
believe that dreams help us tackle stress. It is clear that
dreaming help recharge the mind and revitalize the
body. Dreaming is a necessity.
Let's open up our Bibles to Psalms 16:7 I will bless
the Lord who counsels me: He gives me wisdom in
the night. He tells me what to do. 11 Thou wilt
show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness
of joy: at thy right hand there are pleasures for
evermore.
In the bible there are 220 references to dreams and
visions! Many of these references unfold an entire
story concerning a dream, with the resulting revelation
and action.
The following investigation involves
researching well over 1000 verses, as we seek to come
to a biblical undertstanding concerning dreams. The
words dream, dreamer and vision. We will discover that
“God grants the interpretation, therefore, we will learn to
present our dreams before God and rely upon Him to
unlock the meaning of our drams through communion
and journaling. It is obvious that God spoke through
the dream in every era from Genesis to Revelation, with
25
no indication that He would stop doing so. Therefore, it
is time once again for the Church to open Her ears and
begin listening to God as He speaks to us. As we
study, our prayer shall be, Lord, show us anything You
desire concerning dreams and dream interpretation.
God communicates with us during our waking hours,
but He also counsels us at night through our dreams.
Should we try to remember our Dreams? YES!
Is it Really Profitbale? YES!
Does it pertain to our lives in ANY way? YES!!
1.
2.
3.
4.
Your dreaming mind has access to information
that is not readily available to you when you
are awake. Your dreams may reveal your
secret desires and subconscious feelings.
In remembering your dreams, you will have an
increased knowledge about yourself, bring
about self-awareness and self-healing.
Dreams are an extension of how you perceive
yourself. They can be a source of inspiration,
wisdom, and joy.
Learning to recall your dreams may help you
become a more assertive person. In
remembering your dreams, you are expressing
and confronting your feelings.
Remembering your dreams can help you come
to terms with stressful aspects of your lives.
For many Dreams bring healing, guidance and
direction, growth, and wholeness into people’s lives.
26
Let's turn to Habukkuk:
In Habukkuk the prophet "saw" (emphasis added here).
Many prophets also spoke of the burdens and words
that the lord spoke within their hearts being formed in
visions or dreams.
Habakkuk 1:1 - THE burden which the prophet
Habakkuk saw.
Habakkuk 2:1 and 2:2 -I will stand my watch And set
myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He
will say to me, And what I will answer when I am
corrected . 2:2 Then the LORD answered me and
said: "Write the vision And make [it] plain on
tablets, That he may run who reads it.
God uses visions regularly to speak his words within
our hearts. See we live in a culture which idolizes
"rationalism" .. to believe that an ongoing visionary
encounter with the Living god is possible is almost a
total break with our culture. However, Christians like
you and me have never been afraid to be different as
long as they are sure they are standing on solid Biblical
grounds. Soo.. we are going to read some scriptures
that show the prominence vision has always had in the
prayer lives of others…
Vision = 1. dream 2 . vision 3. seer 4. look 5. eyes
Mandates = Authoritative instruction
27
Genesis 3:5-7 - For God knows that in the day you
eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be
like God, knowing good and evil." So when the
woman saw that the tree [was] good for food, that it
[was] pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to
make [one] wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She
also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then
the eyes of both of them were opened, and they
knew that they [were] naked; and they sewed fig
leaves together and made themselves coverings .
Acts 2 :17 - 'And it shall come to pass in the last
days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on
all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall
prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your
old men shall dream dreams.
Opened Eyes = unconcealed, visible
Genesis 21:19 - Then God opened her eyes, and
she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the
skin with water, and gave the lad a drink.
1 Samuel 3:1 - 3:15 Now the boy Samuel ministered
to the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD
was rare in those days; there was no widespread
revelation. Then the LORD called yet again,
"Samuel!" So Samuel arose and went to Eli, and
said, "Here I am, for you called me." He answered,
"I did not call, my son; lie down again." (Now
Samuel did not yet know the LORD, nor was the
28
word of the LORD yet revealed to him.) And the
LORD called Samuel again the third time. So he
arose and went to Eli, and said, "Here I am, for you
did call me." Then Eli perceived that the LORD had
called the boy. Therefore Eli said to Samuel, "Go, lie
down; and it shall be, if He calls you, that you must
say, 'Speak, LORD, for Your servant hears.
So Samuel went and lay down in his place. Now the
LORD came and stood and called as at other times,
"Samuel! Samuel!" And Samuel answered, "Speak, for
Your servant hears Then the LORD said to Samuel:
"Behold, I will do something in Israel at which both ears
of everyone who hears it will tingle. In that day I will
perform against Eli all that I have spoken concerning
his house, from beginning to end. For I have told him
that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which
he knows, because his sons made themselves vile, and
he did not restrain them. And therefore I have sworn to
the house of Eli that the iniquity of Eli's house shall not
be atoned for by sacrifice or offering forever." So
Samuel lay down until morning, [fn] and opened the
doors of the house of the LORD. And Samuel was
afraid to tell Eli the vision. Then Eli called Samuel and
said, "Samuel, my son!" He answered, "Here I am." And
he said, "What [is] the word that [the LORD] spoke to
you? Please do not hide [it] from me. God do so to you,
and more also, if you hide anything from me of all the
things that He said to you." Looking to See - To turn
one's eyes on - Scripture places great emphasis on
lifing up our eyes and looking to see.

Genesis 18:2
Isaiah 40:26
Acts 7:55
Seers - a person endowed with profound moral and
spiritual insight or knowledge; a wise person or sage
who possesses intuitive powers. Prophets were also
called Seers. They were people who saw in the spiritual
world the vision of GOD. The responsibility of a seer
included consulting and advising kings, exhorting the
people and delivering the Word of God to the people
and recording the Word of God.
2 Kings 17:13
2 Chronicles 33:18 - 19
5 types of Visions -( go to page 65 in book)
There are at least 5 types of visions. Each category is
equally valid.
A Dream or vision in the night Acts 16:9 and 10.
Second kind of vision is received while in a (trance)
solitary thought - Acts 10:10 -16.
Seeing outside ourselves with spiritual eyes Acts 7:5556.
Spontaneous unsought inner picture - To tune into
Spontaneity we must develop the eyes of our hearts
Turn to: Ephesians 1:18 -the eyes of your
understanding being enlightened; that you may know
30
what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of
the glory of His inheritance in the saints.
The Bible speaks of having our spiritual senses
strengthened through use. There are several things we
can do to strengthen our ability to see in the Spirit.
One of the easiest ways to allow our vision to get better
for spiritual purposes is to enter into a bible story.
Similar to #4 except that it is received while seeking
the Lord in Prayer or Worship, Seeing in prayer (# 5
above).
Another time for seeing in the spirit is during prayer.
SEVEN FOUNDATIONAL PRINCIPLES FOR
INTERPRETING DREAMS
Most dreams are symbolic (including biblical dreams),
so view them the same way you would view a political
cartoon. Throw the switch in your brain that says, "Look
at this symbolically. "
You can learn the art of communicating symbolically by
playing the game "Pictionary" or "Bible Pictionary."
1.
The symbols will come from the dreamer's life,
so ask, "What does this symbol mean to me?"
or, if working on another's dream, ask, "What
does this symbol mean to you?" For example,
31
Joseph was a shepherd, and he dreamed of
sheaves and sun, moon and stars bowing
down (Gen. 37:1-11). These images surround
a shepherd boy who lives in the fields.
Nebuchadnezzar, a king, dreamed of statues
of gold (Dan 2:31 ff), which surround kings who
live in palaces.
2.
The dream generally speaks of the concerns
which your heart is currently facing. So ask,
"What issues was I processing the day before I
had the dream?"
For example, Paul was wondering where to
go next on his missionary journey and had a
dream of a Macedonian man motioning for
him to come on over (Acts 16:6-11).
3.
Nebuchadnezzar was thinking his kingdom
would go on forever (Dan. 4:28-33) and he had
a dream of a tree being chopped off at the
roots (Dan. 4:9-27). Once you know the
thoughts that were on the dreamer's heart
when he fell asleep, it is much easier to draw
out the meaning of the dream'.
4.
The meaning of the dream must be drawn from
the dreamer. Realize you know nothing about
the dream, but through dependence upon the
Holy Spirit and the skillful use of questions, you
32
can draw the meaning of the dream out from
the heart of the dreamer.
As for these four children, God gave them
knowledge and skill in all learning and
wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all
visions and dreams (Dan. 1:17).
5.
Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water;
but a man of understanding will draw it out
(Prov. 20:5).
6.
The dreamer's heart will leap and "witness"
and say, "Aha!" when it hears the right
interpretation, so never accept an
interpretation that does not bear witness in the
dreamer's heart.
Dreams reveal but do not condemn. Their
goal is to preserve life, not to destroy it (Job
33:12-18).
7.
Never make a major decision in your life based
only on a dream without receiving additional
confirmation from the other ways that God
speaks to us and guides us (peace in our
hearts, the counsel of others, illumined
Scriptures, God’s still small voice, prophecy,
anointed reasoning, etc.
33
DISCERNING DREAMS ABOUT YOURSELF
At least 95% of your dreams will be about you, your
inner self, your current situation, your relationships.
Your dreams come from your heart and will express the
things that are important to your heart. The most
common area your spirit will reveal will be your
emotional, heart struggles and sanctification issues,
expressed symbolically. Body and health issues are
also important to your spirit, so they may be revealed,
again in a symbolic way. Your relation¬ships to other
people are important to your heart, so these may be
conveyed in signs and symbols. And the circumstances
and events that surround your life, ministry or vocation
are also important to your heart, so these may be
portrayed symbolically in your dreams. Because the
vast majority of dreams are about your inner self, begin
the process of interpreting your dream with the
assumption that it probably is about something you are
or should be dealing with in your own life right now.
Isolate the feeling of the dream first. How did you feel
upon first awakening? Was your heart pounding in
fear? Were you confused, frustrated, angry, rejected, or
threatened? Did you feel loved, excited, happy, or
content? Did you feel exposed, unprepared, or
disappointed? What was the overall emotion that the
dream evoked? In what aspect of your life are you also
feeling this emotion? If it is not immediately obvious to
you, ask the Lord to reveal it to you.
34
Look at the action of the dream next. Ask the Holy
Spirit to show you the symbolism other action. For
example, if the symbol in your dream is that your car is
going backward, ask, "In what way do I feel that I am
going backward, that I am not moving forward in this
area of my life?" If someone else is driving your car in
the dream, ask, "In what way is this person driving or
controlling my life (e.g., my reactions, attitudes,
behaviors) at this time?" or "How is the characteristic
that this person symbolizes controlling me?" (See the
section below on the symbolism of people in your
dreams.) If you are falling, ask "In what way do I feel
like I am falling, losing ground, or out of control in my
life at this time?" If you are soaring, ask, "In what way
or what area of my life do I feel like I am flying, that I am
rising above my problems or my abilities?" If you are
being chased, ask, "How and why do I feel like I am
being pursued or hunted?" If you are naked, ask, "In
what way do I feel like I am exposed and vulnerable?" If
you dream of dying, ask, "What is dying within me?"
(This may be a good thing, for perhaps you are dying to
pride, or to self, or to workaholism.)
Remember, actions in the dream are to be viewed
symbolically. If your dream wanted to really show you
that you were going to die, it would picture that event
symbolically.
For 'example, just a few days before his assassination,
President Lincoln dreamed of a casket. Once you have
used the feeling and action of the dream to identify the
35
aspect of your life that it is revealing to you, the rest of
the symbols will be much easier to identify.
The people in your dreams often represent
characteristics within you. You can determine what
facet of yourself they are representing by simply asking,
"What is the dominant personality trait of this person, as
I know him?" The answer will tell you what aspect of
yourself you are dreaming about.
For example, your heart may want to show you the
entrepreneur, the hospitable host, the administrator, the
class clown, the spiritual leader, the laid back one, the
workaholic, etc. that is within you by the appearance in
your dream of an individual who epitomizes that kind of
person to you. Your pastor may be the spiritual part of
you: a president or king may symbolize other leadership
qualities within you: a policeman, judge, or dictator may
be the authority figure in you: people in uniform (nurses,
waiters, choir members) may represent your desire to
conform.
It is also possible that the person’s name may be the
point that the dream is trying to bring out, especially if
that name is spoken within the dream. Dreaming of a
friend named Charity or Joy or Grace or Joshua or
David may be your heart’s way of calling your attention
to the qualities that are seen in the meaning of the
name. Or the name may actually sound like the
message the dream is trying to convey. For example,
dreaming of Sharon might be your heart’s way of
36
pointing out an area in which you should be sharing
something you are not, or should not be sharing
something you are. One person reported dreaming of
friend names Anita Cook and finding the interpretation
to be I need to cook. It is also possible that the Lord
Himself or one of His angels may meet you in the
dream.
Animals often represent your emotions. Ask, "What
emotion might this animal be symbolizing to me?" This
will depend on your geographical home, your personal
experiences, your knowledge of the Bible, and your
own culture. For example, a bull might be anger (an
"angry bull"); a fox, craftiness; a cat, curiosity; a dove,
peace; an eagle, freedom; a snake, subtlety; a lion,
royalty, and so on. Keep in mind that in the Bible, a lion
is used to represent both Christ (the lion is used to
represent both Christ and “the Lion of the tribe of
Judah) and satan (as a roaring lion seeking whom he
may devour).
Therefore, you must maintain your
dependence upon the Holy Spirit to reveal what the
animal represents in your specific dream.
When you face the animal representing your emotions
in your dream rather than running from it, you may find
that the animal changes into a different one. It is good
to face your emotions.
Numbers in dreams generally represent the identical
number in real life. However, the number will probably
37
be linked to something which needs to be interpreted
symbolically. For example, when Joseph dreamed of
eleven stars, the eleven was literal but the stars were
symbolic and actually represented his brothers. Joseph
was dreaming about his eleven brothers (Gen. 37: 111). Likewise, the cup bearer's dream of three branches
stood for three days (Gen. 39: 12), and for the chief
baker, the three baskets represented three days (Gen.
39:18). In Pharaoh's dream, the seven cows were
seven years (Gen. 41 :26). So expect the number to
mean that exact number of something. It will take
prayer, discernment and the revelation of the Spirit
(confirmed by the leap in your heart) to determine what
it means.
Continue to move through the dream, seeking
revelation on symbol after symbol, until you sense in
your spirit that the interpretation is complete.
Occasionally you may have dreams that relate to more
than your personal, inner life. If you have examined the
dream carefully, in full reliance upon the Holy Spirit to
bring the interpretation, and you cannot see how the
symbols of the dream apply to you, seek the input of
your spiritual counselors. They may be able to see your
blind spots and recognize the message your heart is
trying to give you.
If your counselors agree that the dream does not apply
to your inner life, you may then consider the possibility
that it is a dream for or about others. One indication
38
that this may be a dream for another rather than you is
if you are an observer of the action of the dream, rather
than a participant.
DREAM INFO - TYPES OF DREAMS
Daydreams - Daydreaming is classified as a level of
consciousness between sleep and wakefulness.
Studies show that we all have the tendency to
daydream an average of 70-120 minutes a day. It
occurs during our waking hours when we let our
imagination carry us away. As our minds begin to
wander and our level of awareness decreases, we lose
ourselves in our imagined scenario and fantasy. Click
here for a more in depth look at daydreams. False
Awakening Dreams are where you thought you were
awake and going about your morning routine of getting
up, brushing your teeth, eating breakfast and going to
work only to wake up "again" and realize that was just a
dream. That sensation is referred to as a false
awakening.
Lucid Dreams - Lucid dreams occurs when you realize
you are dreaming. "Wait a second. This is only a
dream!" Most dreamers wake themselves up once they
realize that they are only dreaming. Other dreamers
have cultivated the skill to remain in the lucid state of
dreaming. They become an active participant in their
own dreams, making decisions in their dreams and
influencing the dream's outcome without awakening.

Inner Healing Dreams
Over the past several years I have experienced a
nightmare which I’ve never understood and have felt
emotional trauma as a result of its continuous
reoccurrences. Finally out of frustration I prayed God
would help me understand the nightmare and bring
healing to my life in this area or stop these awful nightly
occurrences. As a result of that prayer, God has
brought much healing to my life and helped me to
understand the value of dreams and God’s desire to
bring healing, guidance, wholeness and balance to my
life.
Nightmares - A nightmare is a disturbing dream that
causes the dreamer to wake up feeling anxious and
frightened. Nightmares may be a response to real life
trauma and situations. These type of nightmares fall
under a special category called Post-traumatic Stress
Nightmare (PSN). Nightmares may also occur because
we have ignored or refused to accept a particular life
situation. Research shows that most people who have
regular nightmares have had a family history of
psychiatric problems, bad drug experiences, people
who have contemplated suicide, and/or rocky
relationships. Nightmares are an indication of a fear
that needs to be acknowledged and confronted. It is a
way for our subconscious to make up take notice. "Pay
attention!" We all have had nightmares at various
parts in our lives. They are quite normal. But what is
exactly a nightmare and why do we have them?
40
Nightmares are a subcategory of dreams. The
distinction of a nightmare is its frightening and/or
emotional content. You tend to wake up in fear in the
midst of a nightmare. Because of its frightening nature,
you tend to remember your nightmares and the vivid
details. They have a bigger impact upon your waking
mind and its images stay with you throughout the
day. One reason for nightmares may be a way of our
unconscious to get our attention about a situation or
problem that you have been avoiding. It is time to take
notice and confront a problem or situation. Nightmares
serve an important purpose in showing you what is
troubling you from within you deeper levels. Discussing,
analyzing, and understanding your nightmares can lead
to a solution for some problem, internal conflict or
personal difficulty. Most dreams contain messages that
serve to teach us something about ourselves.
Unfortunately many a times we forget what we dream
about as we go about our daily routine. With recurring
dreams, the message may be so important and/or
powerful that it just will not go away. The frequent
repetition of such dreams forces you to pay attention
and confront the dream.
The dream is trying
desperately to tell you something. Such dreams are
often nightmarish or frightening in their content, which
also helps you to take notice and pay attention to them.
Recurring Dreams - Recurring dreams repeat
themselves with little variation in story or theme. These
dreams may be positive, but most often they are
nightmarish in content. Dreams may recur because a
41
conflict depicted in the dream remains unresolved or
ignored. Once you have found a resolution to the
problem, your recurring dreams will cease. Recurring
dreams are quite common and are often triggered by a
certain life situation or a problem that keeps coming
back again and again. These dreams may recur daily,
once a week, or once a month, but whatever the
frequency, there is little variation in the dream content
itself. It usually points to a personal weakness, fear, or
your inability to cope with something in your life - past
or present. The repetitive patterns in your dream can
reveal some of the most valuable information on
yourself. It may point to a conflict, situation or matter in
your waking life that remains unresolved or unsettled.
Or some urgent underlying message in your
unconscious is demanding to be understood. Following
are some tips in overcoming your recurring dreams. 1.
In understanding your recurring dream, you must be
willing to accept some sort of change or undergo a
transformation. 2. You must be willing to look within
yourself and confront whatever you may find no matter
how difficult it my be. 3. You must be able to look at the
dream from an objective point of view. Try to get pass
the emotional and reactive elements of the dream and
get down to the symbolic images. Many times dreams
are masked by elements that are disturbing preventing
you to delve any deeper. This is a defense mechanism
that your unconscious may be putting up. 4. Be patient.
Do not get discourage if these dreams still recur even
after you thought you have come to understand them.
5. Learn to accept yourself truly and fully. Often times,
42
once you discover what your recurring dream is trying
to tell you, these dreams will change or altogether
disappear.
Healing Dreams - Healing dreams serve as messages
for the dreamer in regards to their health. Many dream
experts believe that dreams can help us avoid potential
health problems and help us to heal when we are ill.
Our bodies are able to communicate to us through our
dreams to "tell" us that something is not quite right with
our bodies even before any physical symptoms show
up. Dreams of this nature may be telling the dreamer
that he/she needs to go to the dentist or doctor.
Signal Dreams - Signal dreams help you how to solve
problems or make decisions in your waking life.
Epic Dreams - Epic dreams (also known as Great
Dreams or Cosmic Dreams) are so huge, so
compelling, and so vivid that you cannot ignore them.
The details of such dreams remain with you for years,
as if your dream was last night. These dreams possess
much beauty and contain many archetypal zymology.
When you wake up from such a dream, you feel that
you have discovered something profound or amazing
about yourself or about the world. It feels like a lifechanging experience.
Prophetic Dreams - Prophetic dreams, also referred to
as precognitive or psychic dreams, are dreams that
seemingly foretell the future. One rational theory to
43
explain this phenomenon is that our dreaming mind is
able to piece together bits of information and
observation that we normally overlook or that we do not
seriously consider. In other words, our unconscious
mind knows what is coming before we consciously
piece together the same information.
The simplest method for interpreting a dream for
yourself or others:
The best way to interpret a dream is to start with the
first symbol and try to interpret that. Then go on to the
next symbol, and so on. Continually ask the question,
“In what way am I experiencing this symbol in my life at
this time? Continue to move through the dream,
seeking revelation on symbol after symbol, until you
sense in your spirit that the interpretation is complete.
Beginning with the first event/element of the dream and
continuing to the last one, listeners then ask questions
like the following:
What is the dominant trait of that person?
What emotion does that animal represent to you?
In what way are you experiencing the event described
in the dream in your life at this time?
Are you an observer or taking an active part?
If you can not come up with an answer to any of the
above questions, Remind yourself to get peaceful and
to be still, to fix your eyes on Jesus, and tune to
44
spontaneous thoughts, rather than analytical thought
moving from your mind to your heart.
Religion tries to get to God through developing
theologies, and stirring up our emotions, however, God
wants our hearts, and to get our hearts, he comes to
man through direct encounters, with His voice, Rhema,
Speaking in Tongues with Interpretation and Prophecy.
Dreams release divine creativity.
And many
discoveries and inventions have come through dreams.
"Summary/close with this the Importance of Our
Dreams:
God has chosen to communicate with mankind through
dreams. He guides and counsels us through our
dreams. He establishes covenants with us through our
dreams. He grants us gifts in our dreams. He utilized
dreams from Genesis to Revelation, and declared that
He would continue to use them in the last days. When
you total up all the dreams and visions in the Bible, and
all the stories and actions which come out of these
dreams and visions, you have about one-third of the
Bible, which is equal to the size of the New Testament!
Dreams are a central way God has chosen to
communicate with us, and thus they must be given
great weight!

FUN FACTS:
One-third of your lives is spent sleeping.
In an average lifetime, you would have spent a total of
about six years of it dreaming. That is more than 2,100
days spent in a different realm!
57
Dreams have been here as long as mankind.' Back in
the Roman Era, striking and significant dreams were
submitted to the Senate for analysis and interpretation.
Everybody dreams. EVERYBODY! Simply because you
do not remember your dream does not mean that you
do not dream.
Dreams are indispensable. A lack of dream activity can
mean protein deficiency or a personality disorder.
We dream on average of one or two hours every night.
And we often even have 4-7 dreams in one night.
Blind people do dream. Whether visual images will
appear in their dream depends on whether they where
blind at birth or became blind later in life. But vision is
not the only sense that constitutes a dream. Sounds,
tactility, and smell become hypersensitive for the blind
and their dreams are based on these senses.
Five minutes after the end of the dream, half the
content is forgotten. After ten minutes, 90% is lost.
The word dream stems from the Middle English word,
dream which means "joy" and "music".
Men tend to dream more about other men, while
women dream equally about men and women.
Studies have shown that our brain waves are more
active when we are dreaming than when we are awake.
58
Dreamers who are awakened right after REM sleep, are
able to recall their dreams more vividly than those who
slept through the night until morning.
People who are giving up smoking have longer and
more intense dreams.
Toddlers do not dream about themselves. They do not
appear in their own dreams until the age of 3 or 4.
If you are snoring, then you cannot be dreaming.
Nightmares are common in children, typically beginning
at around age 3 and occurring up to age 7-8.
In a poll, 67% of Americans have experienced Deja Vu
in their dreams, occurring more often in females than
males.
Around 3% of adults suffer from sleep apnea. This
treatable condition leads to unexplained tiredness and
inefficiency.
VISION
Now we are going to work on the area of study that
deals with Visions.
God works in our dreams.
He allows us to have dreams, why not, HE made us. He
can do anything HE Wants, right? Yes but does HE,
God choose to anything HE wants? No, he gave US
59
Free choice will, our freedom of Will. So he can not
force us but allows US to learn and to understand.
GOD wants for us to learn from HIS Word, we are to
STUDY it. Rightly Dividing it. God also has other
means for us to learn from HIM, through Dreams, and
Visions.
There is no reason NOT to expect GOD to continue to
speak to HIS People Through Dreams and Visions.
especially because HE told us.
ACTS CHAPTER 2
16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet
Joel; 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith
God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your
sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your
young men shall see visions, and your old men shall
dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and on my
handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit;
and they shall prophesy:
JOEL CHAPTER 2
27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel,
and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and
my people shall never be ashamed. 28 ¶ And it shall
come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit
upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall
prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your
young
men
shall
see
visions:
60
29 And also upon the servants and upon the
handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
Dreams and Visions are inseparably linked with the
moving of the out pouring of the HOLY SPIRIT in the
last days. In this great latter-day outpouring of the Spirit
upon the Church we can expect that Dreams and
Visions will be restored to Gods People.
When I speak of Dreams and Visions, I am not referring
to personal daydreams, but rather to SEEING the
Moviement of God in the Spirit with the eyes of my
heart.
Prophets were called "Seers" Men and Women who
saw in the spirit the movements of Almighty God.
1Sam 9:9
(Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to enquire of
God, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer:
for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime
called a Seer.)
There are TWO worlds and two sets of eyes. Paul
prayed that the eyes of the Ephesians hearts might be
enlightened so that they would know the spiritual world
aware of and responsive to the HOLY Spirit’s actions,
then we too must use our spiritual eyes.
Eph. 1:17-18
17. That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of
61
glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and
revelation IN the knowledge of him: 18. The eyes of
your understanding being enlightened; that ye may
know what is the hope of his calling, and what the
riches of the glory of HIS inheritance in the saints.
As I pray, I fix the eyes of my heart upon Jesus, seeing
in the spirit the dreams and visions of Almighty God.
We have already alluded to this principle in the previous
paragraphs; however, we need to develop it a bit
further. Habakkuk said, "I will keep watch to see," and
God said, "Record the vision" (Hab. 2:1,2).
HABAKKUK CHAPTER 2
1 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the
tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me,
and what I shall answer when I am reproved. 2 And the
LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and
make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth
it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at
the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait
for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
It is very interesting that Habakkuk was going to
actually start looking for vision as he prayed. He was
going to open the eyes of his heart, and look into the
spirit world to see what God wanted to show him. This
is an intriguing idea.
I had never thought of opening the eyes of my heart
62
and looking for vision.
However, the more I thought of it, the more I realized
this was exactly what God intends me to do. He gave
me eyes in my heart. They are to be used to see in the
spirit world the vision and movement of Almighty God. I
believe there is an active spirit world functioning all
around me.
This world is full of angels, demons, the Holy Spirit, the
omnipresent God, and His omnipresent Son, Jesus.
There is no reason for me not to see it, other than my
rational culture, which tells me not to believe it is even
there and provides no instructions on how to become
open to seeing this spirit world.
Eph 6:12. For we wrestle not against flesh and
blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The most obvious prerequisite to seeing is that we need
to look. Daniel was seeing a vision in his mind and he
said, "I was looking...I kept looking...I kept looking"
(Dan. 7:1,9,13-14).
Daniel 7:1
7:1. In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon
Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his
bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the
matters. 7:9. I beheld till the thrones were cast down,
and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was
63
white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure
wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels
as burning fire.
7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the
Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came
to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near
before him.
7:14. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and
a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages,
should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting
dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom
that which shall not be destroyed.
Now as I pray, I look for Jesus present with me, and I
watch Him as He speaks to me, doing and saying the
things that are on His heart. Many Christians will find
that if they will only look, they will see. Jesus is
Emmanuel, God with us. It is as simple as that. You will
see a spontaneous inner vision in a manner similar to
receiving spontaneous inner thoughts. You can see
Christ present with you in a comfortable setting,
because Christ is present with you in a comfortable
setting. Actually, you will probably discover that inner
vision comes so easily you will have a tendency to
reject it, thinking that it is just you. (Doubt is satan’s
most effective weapon against the Church.)
However, if you will persist in recording these visions,
your doubt will soon be overcome by faith as you
recognize that the content of them could only come
from Almighty God.
64
God continually revealed Himself to His covenant
people using dreams and visions. He did so from
Genesis to Revelation and said that, since the Holy
Spirit was poured out in Acts 2, we should expect to
receive a continuing flow of dreams and visions (Acts
2:1-4). Jesus, our perfect example, demonstrated this
ability of living out of ongoing contact with Almighty
God. He said that He did nothing on His own initiative,
but only that which he saw the Father doing, and heard
the Father saying (Jn. 5:19,20,30).
5:19. Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily,
verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of
himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what
things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son
likewise.
5:20. For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him
all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him
greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
What an incredible way to live!
Is it actually possible for us to live out of the divine
initiative as Jesus did?
A major purpose of Jesus’ death and resurrection was
that the veil be torn from top to bottom, giving us
access into the immediate presence of God, and we are
commanded to draw near (Heb. l0:19-22). Having
therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the
holiest by the blood of Jesus, 10:20. By a new and
living way, which he hath consecrated for us,
65
through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 10:21. And
having an high priest over the house of God; 10:22.
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance
of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil
conscience, and our bodies washed with pure
water.
Therefore, even though what I am describing seems a
bit unusual to a rational twentieth century culture, it is
demonstrated and described as being a central biblical
teaching and experience. It is time to restore to the
Church all that belongs to the Church.
Because of their intensely rational nature and existence
in an overly rational culture, some will need more
assistance and understanding of these truths before
they can move into them.
If your answer is yes, go on to "B" below.
If your answer is no, you must discover why you have cut
off the visionary capacity. Generally people have done so
for one of two reasons: 1) to avoid the sin of lust, or 2) to
cut off an unpleasant reoccurring visual scene. If you have
done either of these, you need to repent for rejecting and
ignoring your visual ability, and pray for God to heal and
restore it. You must then receive prayer counseling ministry
to heal the issue(s) that led to this decision. Ask yourself:
"Was there ever a time in my life that I was able to see
visions? If so, at what point did I cut it off? Why?" Pray:
"Holy Spirit, please show me any event or any reason I
have cut off the visionary capacity in my life." Tune to
66
flowing thoughts, and respond to what you are receiving by
applying the appropriate prayer ministry (e.g., repentance,
inner healing, deliverance, renouncing of ungodly vows to
no longer see).
If you can see your living room couch, then go on to the
following:
Can you picture Bible scenes? If so, then do so each time you
meditate on the Word. This is a way of strengthening the eyes of
your heart.
Can you see Jesus in the biblical scenes? If not, then pray
and find out why you have cut off vision of Jesus. This is
usually because of teaching by the Church that it is wrong to
visualize Jesus because it is a graven image. Repent and
state the opposite, which is that the Bible teaches that we are
to fix our eyes upon Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith
(Hebrews 12:1,2).
HEBREWS CHAPTER 12
1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with
67
so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every
weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and
let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our
faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured
the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the
right hand of the throne of God.
OVERCOMING BLOCKS AND HINDRANCES TO
HEARING GOD'S VOICE
For most of us in a 20th-century rational culture, the
greatest miracle of all is to learn to hear God’s voice,
clearly, plainly, and on an ongoing daily basis.
Christians often debate whether this is even possible.
However, those who have tasted communion with God
know that not only is it possible, it satisfies the deepest
longing of both the human heart and God’s heart. For
this reason we were created, to fellowship and
commune with our Creator. Therefore, it is with arms
wide open and faces aglow with the joy of His Son’s
light that we embrace the warmth of His
companionship.
Truly, the Morning Star has risen within our hearts and
the prophetic word becomes clear to us (II Pet. 1:19).
We have also a more sure word of prophecy;
whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light
that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the
day star arise in your hearts:
68
However, some days we still experience strong, stormy
gales that hinder our access to fellowship with the
Father. In this article we want to talk about some of
these storms, and discuss ways they can be tamed by
the power of His Spirit and a knowledge of His ways.
First of all, there is a basic approach laid out in the
Bible for those who would draw near to God. It is found
in the tabernacle experience. The one who wants to
experience God in the Holy of Holies (one’s spirit) must
learn to live this tabernacle experience, which begins
with the gate of salvation. We enter this gate with
thanksgiving, clothing ourselves with the white raiment
of righteousness which Christ has provided for us (Ps.
100:4; Is. 61:10).
We then come immediately upon a brazen altar, where
we offer our lives as a living sacrifice, holy and
acceptable unto God (Rom. 12:1). We do this not only
at the point of salvation, but also as a daily experience,
as we awaken each morning.
Next, we come before the laver, where we are washed
with the washing of the water of the Word (Eph. 5:26).
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing
of water by the word, As we look intently upon the
Word, we allow it to cleanse our lives, purifying our
actions. Therefore, the pattern of regular Bible
meditation becomes a part of our daily approach to
God.
69
Then we enter the holy place, the realm of our souls,
and God deals with our minds, wills and emotions. First
we go to the table of showbread, a place where the
priests ate together around a table. This represents the
fellowship we enjoy in the family of God as we partake
together of God’s provision. As the grain is ground fine
to make the bread, so our wills are ground fine as we
fellowship with other believers. As we allow this process
to happen, choosing to allow our wills to be ground fine
within the bond of unity of the fellowship to believers,
we are prepared to go ever further into the depths
(heart) of God.
Next, we stop at the golden lampstand, made of beaten
gold representing the cultivating of divine nature, and lit
by oil, representing the illumination of the Holy Spirit. As
we examine the Word under the illumination of the Holy
Spirit, we find revelation knowledge pouring, the Maker
of heaven and earth. As a fragrant aroma ascended
perpetually fro into our souls, transforming our lives and
taking us even deeper into the presence of God (II Cor.
3:18).
3:18. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass
the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image
from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
We then move to the altar of incense, where we learn to
offer continuous praise and worship unto the Most High
God , so our praise and worship ascends perpetually
before the nostrils of the Lord (Ps. 141:2).
70
We have learned to be worshipers. Through revelation
knowledge, we have seen that the Most High rules in
the affairs of man, and we have learned to worship Him
everywhere, in everything (Dan. 4:17). This matter is by
the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the
word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may
know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men,
and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over
it the basest of men.
We have learned to worship in spirit and in truth (Jn.
4:24). God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must
worship him in spirit and in truth.
DIRECT FELLOWSHIP
Now we are ready to ascend directly into His manifest
presence, fixing our gaze upon His glory and speaking
face-to-face and mouth-to-mouth with the Most High
God. Oh, what a privilege! Oh, what glory! To stand and
fellowship directly with the Lord of heaven and earth
Himself!
The veil has been rent, the way has been opened,
through the atoning blood of Christ Jesus our Lord and
Savior (Heb. 10:19,20). It is in this manner that God
has prepared a way for us to enter before Him and
fellowship with His Holy Spirit. The way is clearly
established in the Old Covenant and torn open for all to
71
partake in the New Covenant.
Now, when storms and gales hinder our access before
the King of Kings, we can go back and re-walk the path
which He has prepared for us. We can ask: Am I
singing in thankfulness for the robe of righteousness
which He has allowed me to put on? Do I see myself
wearing it? Do I see myself cleansed and spotless
before the King? Well Do YOU? GOD Says YOU ARE
!!!
Have I laid down my will in all matters this day, and
sought only the will and purposes of the Father in all
areas? Are we allow God to give us directions or are we
taking off in what ever direction we feel like?
Am I being washed daily by the constant application of
the Word of God in my life? Are you READING the
Word ? To yourself quietly out loud to yourself? In the
Morning and before you go to sleep? Is my heart full of
love for those in the body of Christ, with whom I live?
Have I closed off my heart to any Christian brother or
sister? Have I allowed my will to be ground fine before
my brothers? Am I prayerfully pondering the Word and
waiting before the Holy Spirit, allowing revelation
knowledge to illumine my life? Thats the be still part.
Am I a constant worshiper? Has all grumbling been
replaced with worshipping in my life? Do I dwell only on
that which is pure, good, honest? One way to be in
constant prayer is by Speaking in Tongues. Quietly to
yourself Do I stand, fixing my gaze on the manifest
72
glory of Almighty God, receiving His spontaneous
ideas, visions, and feelings?
Usually, I find that if I walk through the tabernacle
experience, any block I may have as I approach God in
prayer is erased. If not, God has provided a fine-tuning
dial in Hebrews 10:22: "Let us draw near with a sincere
heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts
sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies
washed with pure water."
In this verse are found four more keys for removing
blocks to effectively hearing the Master’s voice. The
first key is that we must have a sincere heart. There
can be no hypocrisy, no double-mindedness, no
halfheartedness. Only total, pure, childlike dedication to
the desires and purposes of Almighty God. Secondly,
we must have a full assurance of faith. In other words,
we cannot doubt that there is a river flowing within us.
We must believe that the spontaneous bubbling that
wells up within us as we seek God in prayer is actually
God speaking to us and flowing within us (Jn. 7:38,39).
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out
of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 7:39. (But
this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on
him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet
given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
If we do not have a fullness of faith, if we doubt that He
is "Immanuel," God with us, then we will cut off the flow
of His Spirit.
73
Therefore, we must believe that He is a Rewarder of
those who earnestly seek Him, and receive in faith that
which is flowing within us, trusting that indeed it is the
Spirit of Almighty God (Heb. 11:6).
If it is not, then Christianity is a lie. However, I am
persuaded that it is the truth. Thirdly, we must have our
hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience. If there
is sin, it must be brought before the cleansing flow of
Christ’s blood and removed as far as the east is from
the west (Ps. 103:12). Then it must be forgotten, as all
of our attention is turned upon our Maker. All nagging
unrest must be brought before the purifying blood of
Christ for removal. Then the heart is free to soar into
the heavens with God. Finally, we must be cleansed
with the washing of water of the rhema word, or the
voice of God (Eph. 5:26). Those things which God is
speaking to us must be acted upon and obeyed, or our
ability to go on with God is destroyed.
When I come before God in prayer, I begin by quieting
myself in His presence.
I have four questions found in Hebrews 10:22 — Is my
heart sincere, honest, and committed?
Am I free of reservations as I approach God?
Do I have a full assurance of faith that He is within me
and welling up through my spirit (which is joined to Him
use the eyes of my heart to see Him present with me.
74
I tune to the inner river (i.e. spontaneous flow), and I
begin writing down and recording the flow that is welling
up within me. (See this pattern in Hab. 2:1,2.) If I am
stuck and some block seems to be hindering my ability
to hear God’s voice and see His vision, I review the
above questions concerning living the tabernacle
experience. Often as I go through this checklist, I
identify the block and remove it. I Cor. 6:17) In addition,
I must ask whether I have been obedient to the
previous words which God has spoken to me.
These two patterns, the tabernacle experience, and the
fine-tuning dial of Hebrews 10:22, (when coupled with
the example of Hab. 2:1,2) offer ready access for most
of us almost all of the time, so we can readily hear
God's voice within our spirits, and write down the
spontaneous flow of thoughts, visions and feelings
which bubble up within us as we seek the face of God.
Thus, we find that many of the most common blocks
and problems to hearing the voice of God are removed
as we follow these biblical patterns.
Once we begin recording the things we sense God
speaking to us, we may still find errors, or "supposed
errors," in our journals. This can come from many
things. I will list very briefly only a few of the most
common situations.
One problem is that when we pray, we often fix our
eyes on the thing we are praying about, rather than on
Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. Therefore,
75
the answer comes back from the thing, rather than from
our Lord. The solution to this problem is to be very
careful to fix our eyes on Jesus (Heb. 12:2), rather than
on any thing, or person, or issue. If we are bringing a
person or issue to God in prayer, then we should
actually see ourselves presenting this before Him and
watch what He does or says concerning it. Then the
spontaneous flow will be more pure.
POSITIONING
A second issue is that some of God’s commands are
simply positioning moves and are never meant to be
fully carried out. Instead, God re-directs us in
midstream. An example of this may be seen in Genesis
22, when God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son.
However, as Abraham began to act in obedience to this
order, God changed it, telling him not to sacrifice his
son. Now, was Abraham’s first word from the Lord
wrong? No, God was simply positioning Abraham in
order to fulfill one of God’s goals for his life. Once the
test was completed, God discontinued the action
midstream with new orders.
I find this happens often in my journal. Many orders are
simply positioning moves, both for me and for others.
A third, and final, problem which we will discuss is the
problem of improper interpretation. It is very easy to
interpret the words of your journal to say what you think
76
they mean, rather than simply seeing them for what
they are. Often, as I have gone back to my journal,
thinking my journaling had been wrong, I have been
amazed to see that the actual words of the journaling
were fulfilled. It was my privet interpretation of these
words that was not correct. Let us be careful to hear
that which the Lord is speaking.
NOW Who wants to start seeing Visions from GOD ?
Well we first have to get peaceful and still. Clear your
mind. Keep your mind on the image of JESUS. He is
standing before GOD. HE was seated on the Right
hand of GOD. So that image may have Jesus to YOUR
left.
PRAYER: GOD, we give all praise and glory t o you
Father, we come to you with peaceful thankful
hearts. Help us heal our eyes of our hearts to have
clear picture of you. Show us the vision that YOU
want us to see. Help our understanding to grow
with each new vision through out our day. Father I
thank you for touch each heart here tonight. I thank
you for healing each heart body and soul. I thank
you Father for your loving touch to come to each
person here. That we can all come to know you to
be able to be closer to you day by day. In all of
these things I give thanks in the name of Jesus
Christ. Amen.
Now we want to just spend a few minuets, being quiet
and peaceful.
77
Take your pen and paper and as you have an image
come to your mind, write down what image is. Then go
back and ask God to show you another image, ask God
to bring you to where you can be able to see what HE
wants to show you. Allow God to help you move in that
direction.
Breath softly, in and out. Allow GOD to talk with you
through your spirit, from God Thee Holy Spirit. { allow
approx 10 min for this point of the session. }
ISAIAH CHAPTER 1

concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah,
Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
ISAIAH CHAPTER 2

Judah and Jerusalem.
ISAIAH CHAPTER 6

sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train
filled the temple.
2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six
wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he
covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
ISAIAH CHAPTER 13
The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz

did see.
HABAKKUK CHAPTER 1
The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see.
Daniel 8:1-3
8:1. In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a
vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after
that which appeared unto me at the first.
8:2. And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I
saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the
province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by
the river of Ulai.
8:3. Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold,
there stood before the river a ram which had two horns:
and the two horns were high; but one was higher than
the other, and the higher came up last.
Daniel 4:5 I saw a dream which made me afraid,
and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of
my head troubled me.
Daniel 7:1-2 In the first year of Belshazzar king of
Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head
upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told th e
sum of the matters.
7:2. Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by
night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven
strove upon the great sea.
79
Journaling – Means to simply write out our prayers to
God and our questions and what I believe His response
is to me. It is a diary of my two-way dialogue with him
Journaling is our Yada Time. It is a time of loving
fellowship in prayer with our Father. It is a loving
sharing between my Heavenly Father and Myself. It is
an intimate relationship we can now share with our
Father through our Savior. God’s heart desire is for us
to ginosko him. God wants us involved with him in a
close intimate growing relationship. This is eternal life
and why he wanted us, so that he could have a deep
intimate love relationship with us. He longs to love us.
He loves us with unfathomable love and he longs to
express his love to us. Just as a man loves his bride
upon his wedding day our God loves us as Christ loved
the church who gave himself for us. We spend time
with our Father not only when we have a need or a
question but because we just want some time with him
to know him. He wants us to come to him because we
love him.
So how do we Listen to God? by quieting down and
listening, fixing our eyes upon Jesus, tuning to
spontaneous thoughts, allowing flow to fill our minds,
and by writing. We tune to spontaneity. While I am in a
faith mode and filled with flow I write it all down.
Habakkuk 2:1-3 We allow the Father to fill us with his
truths and answers. I will stand upon my watch, and
set me upon ththe tower, and will watch to see what he
will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am
80
reproved. 2 And the Lord answered me, and said,
Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he
may run that readeth it. 3 For the vision is yet for an
appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:
though it tarry, wait for it: becuae it will surely come, it
will not tarry. The instructions as to how to do this is in
Hebrews 10:19-22 We have confidence to enter the
holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living
way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that
is, His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the
house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in
full assurance faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean
from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with
pure water. This is how we are to approach our Father.
The Benefits of Journaling
Releases us to enjoy a new dimension with our Lord.
Journaling helps us with our attitudes and getting them
straight.
Helps us to get to know God personally, by becoming
friends.
Helps us to focus on his truths about issues rather than
our own.
Helps us to calm down and manifest his peace and see
his perspectives.
81
Helps me to overcome boredom and helps me to keep
my mind on him and not all the negatives around me.
Journaling Releases God’s Creativity within us.
It helps to strengthen our relationships with others.
Journaling Releases Anointing for Business. Ever
heard of Brainstorming? Many times God gives us
Brillant ideas.
Journaling many times can bring about Inner Healing in
our Lives. It can release us from hurts from our pasts
by understanding God’s perspectives.
Understanding How to Journal . We tune to Vision.
We fix our eyes on Jesus and then we tune to vision.
Tuning to Vision allows me to see, to look in as I would
do in reading the scriptures, I look in to my heart which
raises my faith and opens up inner flow. As we tune
ourselves to this inner flow within God’s voice fills us
with his spontaneous thoughts which is my union with
his spirit. When we are trying to journal we have to not
allow ourselves to become distracted by outside things,
but rather within is where God speaks to me, his spirit,
talks to my spirit, which communicates to my mind.
Understand that Journaling does not replace my need
for the Body of Christ. If we aren’t fellowshipping within
the body of Christ as often as we should be we need to
test our journaling especially with our Counselors. I
82
should never assume that my journaling gives me the
complete revelation of God on an issue. Journaling is a
tool in which to know my Heavenly Father in a closer
and deeper way.
This is where our knowing the scriptures helps us
because you will be able to discern what words are
from Him and when the deceiver is trying to deceive
you. God’s words to you will always be along the lines
of edification, which builds you up in strength,
exhortation, he will be trying to communicate to you
encouragement and helping you to be on a higher level
of thinking to a more worthy endeavor, or giving you
comfort and assurance, and confidence in yourself and
in him, or instructive.
How to Test our Journaling and Why we do This: We
do this because we know the 3 Avenues in which we
receive voices.
Ourselves, Satan, or from God.
Therefore, we need to test our journaling to be sure that
our journaling we are receiving is from God and not
from ourselves, or Satan. We can know the counterfeit
if we simply weigh our responses with the Word of God.
Is our journaling, Instructive, Comforting, Edifying and
Exhorting Us. Does our Journaling fit with the goodness
of God? Is it peaceable? Does it benefit yourself and
others? While I am in a faith mode and filled with flow I
write it all down. I concentrate on doing only that
activity. When I am finished then I test it all In
journaling we test our writing by lining it up with God’s
truths and accuracy.
Is it in harmony with the
83
scriptures? Make it a point to choose to have at least 3
good believer friends in your life who will be glad to
advise you and give you wise counsel and who will give
you input about your journaling. Thank God for bringing
people into your life whom you would respect to do
such, and they center their lives around the Father who
can discern the purposes of God. There is safety in a
multitude of counselors. If our journaling is not lining up
with God’s truths then we need to determine what we
were fixing our eyes upon.
This is usually always
where the problem lies.
This is why it is important to understand God’s
Paradigm.
A spirit anointed paradigm can be used to confirm that
your journaling is correct.
1. Iluminated scriptures.
2. Iluminated thoughts in my mind
3. Iluinminated Witness in the heart.
4. Iluminated Counsel of others. My 3 counselors
5. Ilumined Understanding of life's fruit. Is there a job in
Ohio.
6. God's inner voice through dreams, visions, prophecy
and journaling.
The key to making major decisions in our lives is
balancing the six pillars. All six pillars have to line up.
Balancing these six pillars varies. Relationships.
Llluumined scriptures forgive everything against
everyone. Let it go. Look at their heart. Forget their
84
actions. Show love and grace. Seeking specific
directive guidance. Should I get married. Peace in my
heart, the counsel of others, annointed reasoning. This
is why we seek others around us to help us with our
journaling. God will be consistent through all six pillars
of the Leader’s Paradigm before I make a major
decision. If they all line up then I am spared from
making major mistakes.
If you don't do this you will push journaling right out of
your life. God is your divine lover and we share
together. Spiral bound notebook can be used, or use
your computer, or use a recorder. You can do two
things at time. Most men can only usually do 2 things
at a time. Send to your spiritual counselors on all major
decisions and on all things you are unsure about. Do
submit. We think we are self made. Don't be prideful
submit your journaling for wise counsel. Keep your
journal secluded and use codes if necessary. Private
material do not open. Hide your journal. Journals are
private. Never force people to share their journal in
front of the class. Don't push people to share if they
don't want to. Spelling is not important, or grammar just
keep in the flow. Picturing helps you in flow. Thinking
causes you to go to the left side of your brain. So try
not to think and stay in the flow picturing.
God will cause you to focus on hope, faith and love they
abide into eternity. Hope, Faith and Love fuels of our
spiritual tanks. We have to tank up on hope, faith and
love. Have a good knowledge of the bible. Read on
85
your own time. Write down something to begin, ask the
Lord what he wants to share with you today. Journal at
least 21 days straight to really get use to
journaling. Then you can journal whenever you are
inspired. Skip a line to separate you and me. Reread
your journal entry. It will help you to see yourself if you
are obedient. Read the journal when it is full and
review it, and write a summary. Faith works when we
are to vision the risen Christ. Don't ask God for dates.
Usually they are wrong. We can not get accurate dates
from God often. Mature prophets can do this but don't
worry about it.
Warning. We are to do Restrictive Journaling and not
predictive guidance. Restrictive journaling focuses on
these 4 things. Prophecy edification, exhortation and
comfort. Predictive guidance and we are not to journal
about this stuff. It is predictive. Predictive guidance
situations. Predictive guidance questions would be like.
Am I going to get married?
Understanding the Counterfeit, Automatic Writing
compared to Journaling. A spirit controls your hand to
write. You by the freedom of your will hears, and then
writes as you choose to do so.
Look at their heart. Forget their actions. Show love
and grace. Seeking specific directive guidance.
Should I get married. Peace in my heart, the counsel of
others, anointed reasoning.
86
This is a left brainer talking. Precise data, anointed
reasoning. Lean upon your strongest gift. The principle
that all prophecy and journaling is conditional upon
man's response. Principle is everything God says is
conditional upon man's response. I have healed your
body. Thank you Lord. I receive it in faith. What do we
do next? Testify, confess it. Ask God if there are any
conditional things you want me to do to activate my
healing. Exodus 15:26 I the Lord your God is your
Healer. If I do give ear be able to listen, and do what is
right in his sight. Give heed to his commandments.
And keep his statues. Peace. Fruits, veggies and
water your skin will glow. If I act on that counsel I
believe people will do things.
JOURNAL QUESTIONS: EXERCISE . – Journal 21
days straight, Remember to Tune to Spontaneity and
Wait for His answers. Allow his flow to work within you.
Flow are effortless thoughts and pictures within our
hearts.
Lord what time do you think it is best in my day to
journal with you? Lord you know me and you know
when I am the most alert and receptive? Show me what
time of the day is best for me to do this.
Lord what do you want to say to me about journaling?
How important is it in my life?
87
Lord I love you what would you like to speak to me
right now?
How do you see me Lord?
What do you want to say to me?
What blocks keep me from moving forward in my
relationship with You?
What wrong beliefs would you like me to repent of,
and what godly beliefs would you like to replace
them with?
Lord are there any people whom I need to forgive
and release?
Lord what do I need to do this day? Please tell me
what is important?

Books Ken Has written are:
Why Do I Need the Old Testament? - Many
Christian’s have never read the Old Testament
Books of the Bible. That's almost like trying to
assemble a new bicycle without first reading the
instructions!
Survey of the Old Testament - paints a very
concise picture Jesus Christ's Symbolism and
Significance. Rather than than trying to read the 39
Books of the Old Testament in possibly a year, a
novice can Read & Understand this Study in less
97
than a week!
Figures of Speech Study Guide - This Study Guide
will help the student to understand what God has
deemed important in His Word! We use Figures of
Speech every day like, "The Ground is Thirsty." We
just gave the Ground a Human Characteristic in
order to Emphasize how Dry The Ground has
become without rain! In like manner, God uses
Figures of Speech in order to Emphasize what is
important to Him!
Peace I Give Unto You! - This Practical Study
accounts the Testimonies of many that were Healed
by the power of the Holy Spirit. This Study also
imparts the spiritual Tools in order for you to
minister Healing to the Broken in Heart and mind.
Tongues Like As Fire - This Study explains the
significance of Tongues Like as Fire that appeared
over the Disciple's Heads on the Day of Pentecost!
There is also a Practical Demonstration of the
manifestation of the Gift of holy spirit.
Orientalisms and Bible Land Customs - This
enlightening Study demonstrates how God
communicated His Spiritual Truths through the
Manners and Customs called Orientalisms. For the
Western mind, Bible Scripture can be hard to
understand, may this Study open great treasures of
Truth into God's own Heart!
98
He's Coming Back - This adventure describes
several Key Events leading up to our Hope of Jesus
Christ's Return! Also a view of our activities with
our New Spiritual Bodies during the 1000 year
Reign on this earth with Jesus Christ!
Does God Kill? - In studying the Old Testament,
the Bible student will notice that many times God is
seemingly accredited with killing or destroying
